Ladybug Birthday

Good Morning! Are you stuck to your T.V. like I have been watching the Olympics? I have so much respect for all of the athletes, their parents and coaches. They sure have been putting on quite a show for us all. It has been awesome watching it with my kids and hubby.

Feel Better Soon

Hello and welcome to my crafting space! This past week just went poof with my kids having Thursday and Friday off.  Now this week they have Thursday and Friday off.  I do believe they are enjoying it and me too :).  The only problem is now all of my days are getting mixed around....LOL.

thank you so much to everyone who played we had an amazing turnout and we struggled so hard to pick the TOP 4. So today, I have a DT card for our brand new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our challenge hostess this week is the one and only Leanne.  She is challenging us to use something, that I have been seeing all over bloggerland.
CHALLENGE #180 - FLAGS and/or BANNERS
My fellow DT's and our new Guest Designer Debi from Debi's Joy have some incredible inspiration for you all to see.

The card below is clean and simple with lots of layers using the Stampin Up Banner Framelit dies. A Martha Stewart punch on the side and buttons in the middle. I haven't used my paper piercer in a while and broke it out to break up the solid look around the middle banner.  The stamp I used is from Verve. My color combo is three of the 4 Colors from  Chromatic Craze (where I am GDT this month).  So the frustrating part with my card is the picture does not give you the true colors, after days of frustration of trying to take a picture that would show you the true colors this is the closest I got.  Thanks Tristan for taking this for me.  The papers I used are Basic Black, Soft Suede, Crumb Cake and Mellow Moss.

Great Challenge Leanne, you had me thinking on this one.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Crafting By Designs - Month Long Challenge February - Anything Goes
Divas By Design - Die Cuts
Penny's Paper Crafty Challenge Blog - Challenge #163 - Something old and Something New (New Banner Framelits and my Verve Stamp is old)

We would love to see you over at 4 Crafty Chicks, to see what this challenge inspires in you.

Thanks for poppin by! Have an amazing week!

Happy B-Day!

Good Morning! Yesterday, I got a surprise from one of my parents friends.  They heard that I am still not able to put my own socks on since the accident.  Their friend has this little contraption that he used after a surgery so he could put his socks on by himself.  He has very graciously lent it too me to use.  So for the first time in 100 days I am able to put my socks on without asking someone else to do it for me. My heart is overwhelmed with joy! Guess you can say I am doing a real happy dance!

Happily Wedding Day

Good Morning Folks! We are on our second week back at school and a routine is starting to set in.  Yesterday was a crazy day, weather wise. Got up in the morning it was +9 and incredibly windy. We set records for temperature and for wind speeds of 120 km/hour.  Hoping today it will settle down.  On the bright side there was a lot of melting snow.

I am the host for 4 Crafty Chicks this week and for Challenge #177 we are looking for Wedding creations.

My card is below! I have been wanting to make this tuxedo card for some time now.  Sorry for the picture there must have been some finger prints on the lens.  So I got this fabby little idea from my mom who just adores videos by Connie Stewart.  I made this card which I think is awesome because usually wedding cards lean more towards the bride.  This Tuxedo card is a little more masculine.  I changed it up a little bit by making a square sentiment instead of oval.  Connie has incredible ideas and she doesn't waste a stitch of paper. Isn't it wonderful the new beginnings when a couple decides to marry.  Yep, it always brings tears of happiness to my eyes (sappy one trying hard not to cry...LOL).
Recipe:
Stamp: Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Accessories: Pearls, circle punch, large oval punch, scallop punch, scissors, square scallop punch, silver pen, glue dots and pen

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Stampive and More - Challenge #203 - New Beginnings - Wedding are new beginnings between husband and wife (hope it meets the challenge requirements).
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Emboss It! (dry embossing on the white paper)
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog - Challenge #46 - Bling It On! (pearls for the buttons on the tuxedo shirt)
One Crazy Stamper - January - Anything Goes

We would love it if you hoped on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and showed us what a Wedding inspires in you. Leanne, Lori and Tammy also have great inspiration for you. I would love to hop on over to your blog and see what you made.

Have an amazing day! Thanks for stopping by.

With Sympathy

Good Morning!  I am super excited to be back with another DT creation for the new challenge over at Creative Knockouts!  Our sponsor for Creative Knockouts this week is Dilly Beans Stamps, they have many cool digis!

We are on Challenge #19 - Buttons, Buttons, Whose Got The Buttons!
Follow on Facebook!

I am using an image called Doodle Flower 1 #541 there are just so many possibilities for color combos for this.  I chose to use colors that are similar but would love to try this with reds, orange and yellows.  As I am putting my card on I realized that I have made another almost all white card again.  I promise next time you will see more colorful papers.  The flower is my main image for this sympathy card.  This card is for the staff at my kids elementary school they use to go too.  On boxing day they lost a member of their staff who has worked there for many, many years.  This card is for the staff as this teacher was a very special person who left an incredible mark on all of her kindergarten students over the years.  She was a very unique person and so is this flower so I wanted it to be the highlight of my card.  I couldn't wait to break out the buttons as, I thought they were an added touch to the flower.
Recipe:
Stamps: #541 Doodle Flower 1 Digi and Little Paper Shop (sentiment)
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Momento (Tuxedo Black)
Accessories: scissors, buttons, pearls, bakers twine, tag punches, word window punch, punch, two embossing folders,  copic markers: Flower Petals V12, V15, V17, Petals - YG93, YG95, YG97

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
The Crafter's Café Challenge Blog - Challenge #45 - Anything Goes

Thank you for sharing this creation with me! Have a Fantastic Day!!

Our Thoughts are With You

Good Morning everyone! Well the first day back to a routine, I think was a little rough for everyone but very much needed.  Guess, I am a person of habit....LOL.  We are slowly getting back into the groove of things.  This week my oldest son Tristan turned 17, our middle son Robin finally got to go back to Tae-Kwon-Do and our daughter Kaitlyn started physiotherapy with Robin and I. My hubby is back into the groove of work too.

Onto our new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks! Our hostess is Leanne and for Challenge #176.  She would like you to use Bows. Easy peazy challenge right? We have one more week if you would like to apply to be one our new DT.

My creation below was made for Robin and Kaitlyn's kindergarten teacher. Her fellow kindergarten teacher for many, many years, passed away on boxing day.  I was very lucky to have had the privilege to work with her.  She left a foot print on many hearts over the years those she taught and met.

I finally learned how to make a decent looking bow...Yahoo! My bow teacher was a really great lady off of You Tube...wrote the link down and now missed placed it...uh.  When I find it I will put the link on here for you.

Believe!

Hello and welcome to my first post for Creative Knockouts in 2 months.  On October 22 my youngest two kids and I were in a very serious vehicle accident. I would like to say thank you so much to Kelly for giving me time to heal and you have been just amazing. Thank you to all of the DT's for the wonderful Get Well cards they cheered me up and were amazing creations. Looking at them has helped me each day.  Merry belated Christmas everyone and Happy Boxing Day!

Challenge # 17 is Anything Goes! Since I am just starting back at card making with help from my family and friends, my cards are pretty simple in design.  My image for this card is by Bugaboo and is called Scene It Angels Believe, they are also our wonderful sponsors this week..  The image is just adorable.
http://www.bugaboostamps.com/
I chose to use just yellow and white.  On the image all of the stars are colored yellow as well as their elastic bands and clothes.  Everything else is black and white.  I used two embossing folders and some dazzling diamonds on their wings to give a little more pop. It was fun to use my distressing tool although I totally broke out in a sweet doing it...LOL.

I would like to enter my card into Make It Monday #171- Anything Goes.

We would love to see you come and play at Creative Knockouts!

Have a great Day!  Thank you for popping over for a look!

Stella....Needs Another Drink!

Merry Christmas and Happy Boxing Day!! I do hope that this holiday season is allowing you time to spend with family, that your hearts are filled with love, joy, lot's of laughter and most of all some much needed down time.  We are very blessed this year with wonderful family and friends! Thank you for being in our lives.

There is a new Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and our hostess this week is our one and only Lori.  For Challenge #174 she is going Tropical.  I think with the amount of snow we have that oh boy would it be fun for a tropical vacation!

So for my card below I used Stella and it is from Totally Stampalicous.  I used Basic Black, Real Red and Whisper White paper.  I know it isn't the bubbly bright colors of my fellow DT's but here is the reason I chose these colors.  We went to Mexico 5 just about 6 years ago.  My skin at one point was real red, my cloths were either black or white, with a little bit of red. So that is why I chose these colors.  We were at an all inclusive and it was to say, "I do believe I would like another drink"....LOL.  Especially the Strawberry daiquiris.  Hence why Stella and the drink came to mind...hee hee.

I would like to enter my card into Make It Monday #171- Anything Goes,
We would love it if you had some time to join us this week.  I am looking forward to seeing all of your creations each week.  To see more inspiration from the Chicks please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.
Thank you for stopping by.
