Happy Anniversary

Good morning to the last Thursday in December.  On this day 18 years ago our Chick Lori had a beautiful daughter.  It was a very special day and an exciting one.  So I just wanted to say to her she has raised a very beautiful young lady and how time has flown by.  Happy Birthday! Kim and also to Lori and Quintin on this very wonderful day of raising a beautiful adult.

As it turns out Lori is our hostess for our Anything Goes/ Crazy Egg Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  The challenge is very easy.  My card above was supposed to be for another challenge but the funny part is while making it I forgot about the challenge it was supposed to be for.  Then when all was said and done when looking at the challenge again, I realized it didn't fit.  So here is my Anniversary card that totally works for our Anything Goes Challenge. Again it is a pink card with the black. The stamps were given to me by a friend and the flourishes were one that I had found a couple of years ago.

If you have some new crafting goodies, break them out and share them with us at 4 Crafty Chicks. We would truly love to see them.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Years.

Christmas Delight - Ugly Christmas Sweater

Hello! Today, we are spending time with our son Robin and his girlfriend Summer. It sure is nice to spend time with them laughing and giggling. We have been looking forward to movie night, game night and waiting for the rest of our family to show up in the next few days.  Man, I am giddy with excitement for Christmas time this year.

We have a wonderful Christmasy challenge this week over at Creative Knockouts. For challenge #173 please create something for our Christmas Delight Challenge. We have a sponsor again this week and I don't believe I have had the pleasure of working with them before. They have graciously let me use  Ugly Christmas Sweater collection.  They have full color images and black and white.

My create is a clean and simple layout with some fussy cutting and the images have been colored with copics. I used early espresso twine, circle punch, star brad, dazzling diamonds and my red and brown paper stalk are all from Stampin Up.

Please join us at Creative Knockouts for another fun filled challenge.  My fellow teammies have amazing creations for you to see too. You have until next Wednesday to join us.

I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, may it be filled with laughter, peace, relaxation of the season and filled with cherished memories of love ones that have passed.

Enjoy the Journey

Two days before Christmas, is a busy time of the year for everyone.  We have a brand new challenge for you over at 4 Crafty Chicks and our hostess is Lori! Lori would like us to think of New Year's Resolutions for challenge #330.

I had to ponder this challenge for a while, really thinking hard about what I would like to do in the New Year. Normally, I do not make New Year's Resolutions but this year, it looks like I am. :) This year in 2017 as I continue in my recovery, it would be nice to read more books. My goal is to read 10 books and enjoy the journey of them.  As I was scoping out idea's of stamps for this type of card, I found this bookworm card on Pinterest from Julias Cards.  I wasn't able to get the book quite right but I tried...hee hee.  I did change it up to make it my own. Colors, papers, pattern papers, bow and sentiment. It is super cute and all of it was made using Stampin Up punches and distressing on the little worm and book.

Wishing you all a wonderful day and Christmas! If you have some time please join us for this fun-filled challenge.

Thanks for stopping by.

Can I Have This Dance...

Hello, Hello, Hello! Christmas is only 10 days away! WHAT??? how did that happen so fast. I am super excited to see family and friends.  We still have shopping to do but it is fun to do now before the stores get too wild and crazy.

We are breaking out a new challenge for you over at 4 Crafty Chicks. I am your hostess for the week. For Challenge #329 I would like to see Distressing on your projects. My card has a couple dancing and it makes me think of some of the balls that go on at Christmas time and sometimes the weddings that people have.  I went with a light pink because I really like it and thought it went well with the image stamped in black.  The snowflake folder is from Stampin Up and so is the sentiment. The pearls are just a little bit of pretty bling.

We would love to see you at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Thanks for joining me while I shared my newest creation with you.

Benson and Betty

Good morning! I do believe that this week we have been battling the cold weather and trying to stay warm. It is definitely bit colder than  normal for this time of year. Yesterday was the start of basketball season for our daughter and some of her friends.  They played their first game and won 49-27. A great start to the season.

Today I am here sharing with you a second card. This card is made for Creative Knockouts and for Challenge #171 Snow Much Fun! Here in Canada we are working on the snow much fun part (hee hee). I have two pictures below one brighter and one darker, I wanted to show you the sparkle of my snow. Thank you so much to our sponsor this week from Crafty Sentiment Designs Benson-and-Betty was a super fun image to color up.  My card is colored with Copic's and using Stampin Up Paper and Dazzling Diamonds. The Dies are from My Favorite Things and the snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart Punch.
We hope you can join us this week at Creative Knockouts! My fellow DT's have amazing creations to share with you and we would love to see what the snow inspires in you.

Thanks for popping in and taking a peak at my newest creation.

To & From

Welcome to my blog friends.  We have a brand new challenge that starts today over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our hostess this week is Nance! No Pattern Paper is what Nance would like us to use for Challenge #327.

The card above is clean and simple but I did dig deep into my drawers to use self-stick Deco-Borders. I tried to make a present with it.  Hopefully, it looks like it, with this cute little tag on it.

The Chicks in the Hen House have a great inspiration for you this week and so does our GDT. We would love for you to grab a cup of java, pop, hot chocolate and join us for this challenge.  I would love to see what you create for 4 Crafty Chicks.

Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning friends! Wow, we are on our first challenge of December. It seems like the past few months have taken about 10 minutes. *giggle, giggle*.  Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. One thing about winter is that you can sit down with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and enjoy crafting, book or just hunker down and watch a movie.

Our challenge for the first week of December at 4 Crafty Chicks is brought to you by Leanne and she would like us to create with Bears.  I adore bears too, so this was a super fun challenge for me.  I wanted to try making something with my punches and low and behold Pinterest didn't let me down.  Susan Byington from Sending Smiles Across The Miles made a Polar Bear Punch Art card.

I followed the instructions as much as I understood. Her card looks way better but thought this has turned out cute. The colors are different and I used a stamp on the pattern paper. Other than that it is pretty much the same.  The above card has some distressing on the bears and to make hills of snow, I did use dazzling diamonds.

Please join us for a Beary fun challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Thanks for stopping by.

Santa Molly

Good morning! We have had more sun this month already than we did for the whole month of October. Seeing the sun more sure has brightened my days and having the extra hour to sleep has brought my world back in line. It has been wonderful enjoying time at home.

We have a brand new challenge that is starting today over at Creative Knockouts. We are on Challenge #169 Tis The Season. It is funny how fast the time is flying by. I am not sure exactly when I am going to go Christmas shopping but holy smokes it is coming quickly.  Our sponsor this week is Digital Delights and they have graciously let me use  Santa Molly highlight this week.  My daughter and I colored this image together and she said yes and no to my layout.

My image is colored with Copic's and the paper and top note frame was made from Stampin Up.  I also used spellbinders for where my sentiment is. It is a clean and simple design, hope you like it.

Winter Wonderland

Hi, my crafting peeps! Our challenge hostess Lori over at 4 Crafty Chicks is thinking Winter Wonderland for Challenge #326.

I found this cute image in my pre- stamped pile and it was so much fun to color up.  I can totally think of cute penguins, bears (mostly polar bears) and snowmen out in the cold. My embossing folder of snowflakes just reminds me of shaking a snow globe and watching the snow fall. It is another clean and simple layout hopefully you like it and think it represents a winter wonderland.

I look forward to seeing your blogs, so please join us for our Winter Wonderland challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. Looking for more inspiration be sure to hop on over to our challenge blog to get some.

Have an amazing day!

Never Regret Anything That...

Hello everyone, welcome to our newest challenge for 4 Crafty Chicks. Today, I am your hostess for this weeks challenge. For Challenge #325 I would like you to break out the FABRIC!

The reason why I picked this challenge was because my mom gave me some homemade jam for Christmas a few years ago and well I looked at the cloth and thought I could use this for crafting. Who knew I would struggle so much with how to use the fabric on a card...*wink*. After cutting most of the fabric up, flowers popped into my head. So here is the creation I made with the flowers idea.

Please come and join us for this fun-filled Fabric Challenge. My fellow Chicks Leanne, Nance, Lori and our GDT have some amazing inspiration for you.

Cheers,

Just for You!

Hi everyone, welcome to my 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge Card. Before, our challenge is revealed; I would like to welcome our newest member of our Hen House. Please join me in welcoming the very talented Nance Salkeld from Soul Stampin'. We are lucky to have her creative inspirations with us weekly and believe me, you will be inspired by her masterpieces. Make sure you hop on over and share some love with Nance.

Our challenge this week is brought to us by Leanne. Today's challenge is Vintage for #324.

My card is made using all Stampin Up products except for the pearls. I decided to go with the story on the pattern paper and distressed the edges as I felt that it would really give it that vintage look. The idea for this card was from a card I saw on Pinterest. It was designed from Thinking Inking Debbie Olson Designs.  To make it my own, I changed some things up, added some layers, pearls, and some texture.  Her design also used musical paper instead of paper from a book.

We would love to have you come and join us this week for our Vintage Challenge.

Have a wonderful day!

Your are my sunshine!

Hello! I am excited to be back today to show you my card for 4 Crafty Chicks.  It is the first Thursday of the month, so that means your hostess is Leanne.  We are on Challenge #323 and Leanne would like us to break out the SWIRLY PEARLS.

It is with a very sad heart, that this week is our Chick Tina's last hen house post. Tina has been a huge blessing, friend and a crafty inspiration to me(us)/our blog. We know that life has a way of busy and is taking her in a different direction but she will always be one of the chicks. Sending you love and hugs my friend, thank you for the wonderful blessing you have brought into my life. You are the DA BOMB!!!

I would like to welcome Nicola from Amethyst Lily Designs to our hen house as our Guest Designer for the month of November.

This was an awesome challenge as all of us chicks like to use pearls.  I didn't have big swirls in my stash but I did have this one to use on this cute card.  I picked bright colors and this cute little turtle to color up. My image was colored up using Copic Markers and I used chocolate chip ink for sponging around the edge of the sentiment.

We would love it if you join us for 4 Crafty Chicks. Looking for more inspiration our GDT and chicks from the hen house have lots for you.

Have an amazing day and thanks for stopping by.

Good morning everyone! It is already the last Thursday of October and Halloween is just around the corner.

Our hostess this week at 4 Crafty Chicks is Lori! She has a fun filled challenge for us.  For Challenge #322 Lori would like us to color on Kraft card stock. I have never done this before but some of my fellow DT's have and they have made truly gorgeous creations. No exception, this time, they will inspire you.  My stamp is from Stampin Up and the image was colored with Copics. Unfortunately, you can not see the Wink of Stella on this card but it really does make it pop. The punches and paper are also from Stampin Up.

Thank you so much for stopping by to see my newest creation.  Your comments bring a bright spot into my day and are truly appreciated.
