Thanks.....

Hello.....well it might be officially spring but Mother Nature feels that we need a little more Winter! So the best way to live with all the white is too add some bright colors.

I am excited to show you my new DT card for 4 Crafty Chicks.  Today is Thursday and our wonderfully talented hostess this week is Lori.  For Challenge #187 she is asking us to create a layout, card etc...with Spring. Bet when Lori gave us this challenge she had no idea that we would be still dealing with snowfall warnings.  Great Challenge girlie!

One of the things that make me think of spring is the flowers that we will soon see.  I picked bright colors with a clean and simple layout.

Keep Calm and Eat Jelly Beans

There is nothing better than having fun with a friend miles apart. Last night I cyber crafted with my friend Leanne.   I challenged her to make a card with a From The Heart Digital Stamps image.  Not sure what one she used but she found it right away.  Be sure to hop on over to her blog and check out her yummy goodness. Me, I kept swooning over all the images for quite a while before I could decide.  Finally I decided to use Full of Beans Birdbrain.  These little guys make me smile...

We then both decided to use the i {heart} card sketches w/a twist.  The twist was to make the card Monochromatic.  I tried but boy girls that was tough.  So bright it was.  Except for how big my sentiment was the sketch was followed to a T :)

Blessing A Flower

Good Morning! I am super excited to be back with another DT card for Creative Knockouts! Yikes, I almost missed it since I keep thinking there is more time left in March...poof it is half gone.  Better smartin up and get myself in order...LOL. Happy Spring to everyone. We are on Challenge #29 - Things With Wings. Our wonderful sponsor this week is A Day For Daisies they were so kind to give me this image to use Blessing A Flower.

I had so much fun coloring up this image! My oldest son helped me pick out the colors for coloring. Like that ever happens and well we enjoyed every minute of it since he is 17.  It another card with clean lines, not texture other than the butterfly circle.  After seeing the image done and ready to pop up, the idea to frame it came to me.  Hopefully this looks a bit like a picture frame.

Hello! Welome back to my blog! I know this is said way to often but where the heck is March going now...wasn't it just the first....LOL.  I might be home a lot now but it sure doesn't stop the days from going fast.

Today, I am sharing my DT card for 4 Crafty Chicks.  It is Thursday and their is a brand new challenge for you to check out.  Our beautiful hostess is our one and only Tina.  She is challenging us to use TREES for Challenge #185.  Wonderful challenge right who doesn't love a good looking tree or trees.

So with that in mind of how much I love trees, can you believe I struggled with what kind of tree to use for this challenge...*grin*.  A sympathy card finally came to mind and then used a wood grain embossing folder to accent the tree challenge.  Hope you like it!

Just Chicken In

Good Morning! The weekend is just about here and warmer temperatures.  Doesn't that just sound wonderful.  This past weekend was an emotional one for us as a family. We were asked as a family to attend our Millet Firefighters night.  It was a great time with laughter, visiting, tears and a chest filled up with pride. Our middle son Robin was honored by our Firefighters, our Town and by the House of Commons for saving his sisters life and my life last October. It was so over whelming and truly it was hard to hear someone actually tell the store of our accident.  The tears flowed for all of us as we saw a Hall full of people stand to give our son respect and honor him for his heroism. They stood the whole time he was up there, until he sat down. Another moment to truly cherish as our family would not be whole if it wasn't for him. Onto why you really popped in

I have a new DT card for you today! It is Thursday so that means that 4 Crafty Chicks has a new challenge and a new hostess.  Our challenge is being brought to you by Leanne and she would like us to make a Shape (no rectangles or square cards) card for Challenge #184.  Oh boy was this a challenge since I have never made a shape card on my own.

The card below was super fun to make.  The image is made by From The Heart Stamps called Flower Pot Chick (Birdbrain).  The sentiment inside the card reads Just Chicken In...don't ya just love it?  These stamps are just simple so cute!

For You

Good Morning! Not sure where February went but now that March is here maybe we will be a little closer to Spring....let's hope. It is freezing here in central, Alberta, Canada.  A balmy -38 with wind chills making it feel like -52. Yuck! On to better news. I am excited to share a new DT creation for Cards Galore Encore Challenge with you!  Glamour Eyes are our sponsor for this month. they are offering 5 Digi stamps and a surprise clear stamp. We are on Challenge #3 for the Month of March and we would like to see you Use a Stamp or Digi somewhere on your project.

My creation this month is a tag that I made to go with an afghan (throw blanket) I am currently crocheting. It was nice to have my mom with me as I was making the tag, helping me get my stuff from around the room.  It was fun, one day we will have to sit down and make a card together.  The bright pattern paper reminds me of spring! I kept the lines crisp and clean and used  a dauber to distress around the edge of the tag. A very clean and simple tag.

Recipe:
Stamp: Punch Bunch (Stampin Up)
Ink: Concord Grape
Markers: Stampin Up - Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo
Paper: Whisper White, Concord Grape and Paper Flower Box Doodlebug Designs Inc.
Accessories: Pearls, whisper white ribbon, elegant eggplant ribbon, scalloped circle punch, tag punch, gem and embossing folder.

I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:
