2 for 1 SPCC Challenge meets Crazy 4 Challenges

How was your Monday today! Mine was okay. Do you ever sometimes feel like you have forgotten something but nothing is written on your calendar and you just can't seem to remember? It happened to me today and well when I finally remembered it made me a little sad. Today, my dad would have been 66 years old. It was like I had someone sitting on my shoulder saying you are forgetting something really important today. So a little teary eyed I have been. Enough of that and onto my post tonight.

I have been wanting to make something with Samantha's sketch from her blog hop for (Scapmaters Paradise Color Challenge)...all week. The time has gotten away on me and now I have just about missed getting my card entered. So tonight I went down to my craft room and got to work. For the life of me my brain just could not think of a color combo....so whose better to use than this weeks SPCC Color combo #76. Thanks Samantha for the awesome sketch, colors and a chance to win a set of your new stamps. Be sure to hop on over to see the DT's works too!

Here is my card! The stamp I used is from the Little Paper Shop. A friend stamped her for me so sorry I don't know her name. She is darling though. Well, I couldn't find any Sahara sand paper sooooooo into my scrapbox I went and found a little piece left and it worked perfectly for Samantha's sketch.

One last challenge to enter this cute girl into. Cindy Haffner is the host this week at Crazy 4 Challenges and she is asking everyone to use script paper or script embossing folder. I used the script embossing folder behind the girl.

Well it is pretty late for me and there is still some laundry that needs to be done. Tomorrow, I am hoping to do some baking with the little boy I babysit. It should be a good day! Oh and painting will soon be starting in my son's room...if I am lucky reno's will be done by christmas...pray for before that...LOL.
Wishing you a good night. Thanks for stopping in.

PPC #40 meets My Wintery Friends :)

Good Morning! It sure is a foggy one here in Millet! How was your weekend? Mine was very busy but it was a fun one but we did manage to take the kids and one of their friends to Harry Potter this weekend. Our weather this last week has been crazy. Snow and -30 something tempatures and then by Friday we were at 0. I wish it would stay at about -10. The roads in town are slushy and the snow was already melting some (it makes it easy to get stuck). We also watch the Grey Cup (Sunday) game it was a close one.

Lori will be our hostess this week at Picture Perfect Creations. We are hoping that Megan has had her little bundle of Joy and that she is enjoying being a mom. Congratulations Megan!

We are on Color Combo #40, Not Quite Navy, Daffodil Delight, Poppy Parade a bright one. Christmas time is still in my head and so I went out of the box with this color combo and created a christmas card. You heard me right...a Christmas card was made...LOL. It turned out pretty good too! So come and play with us and show us what inspires you with these colors.

Techno Stamper : Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge #149 Mary Jo Price-Williams has created this awesome sketch. I realized after I finished my card that I would be late for linking it, but I wanted to let you know that is was her sketch with the colors that inspired me. Crafty Hos' Challenge also has an inspiration picture that made me think of my polar bear and penguin image would go with their snowy picture too.

Here is my card. I also have entered into the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #87 is a christmas challenge. The Paper Players Challenge #26 is to get your heat gun out and wet emboss ( my whole image is embossed with black embossing powder). I tried to get an angle of the card to show you the embossing girls but it didn't work to well (sorry). The full card is just below the first picture. What do you think of this stamp...aren't they just adorable! My cousin is an animal lover and works at the zoo so he just might get this one for christmas.

Thank you Lori for posting for the last few times. I hope to see you at Picture Perfect Creations this week. Don't forget to stop bye the other DT Creator's blogs to share them some love for their wonderful creations this week. Wishing you a fantastic Monday!!!

What a week we had at 4 Crafty Chicks! Everyone who entered my challenge of anything but a card ROCKED IT OUT OF THE CRAFT PARK!!!! Thank you so much for playing and sharing such awesome creations. Can't wait to see what you do with this weeks challenge!

Sooooooo onto the good stuff! Our very crafty chick Lori is our hostess this week! We are on Challenge #13 and it is the last Thursday of the month so you know what that means, it is a Prize week. Lori found this amazing picture to inspire us. What a picture! It sure makes me want to put my tree up. I already have my Christmas tunes playing (a little Johnny Reid). You can make anything that inspires you from this picture. If you are linking to a gallery please use 4CCC-13.

Challenge #13
This is what I came up with from Lori's picture.
My colors are cherry cobbler, always artichoke and whisper white. Silver brads, scalloped border punch, swiss dots folder, D'vine Swirl Folder and Stamp set...(got to get back one this one it is from Stampin' Up though) and silver elastic.

The Paper Players have an amazing sketch that was screaming christmas to me this week. Last week I had really wanted to play in their color challenge but sometimes life gets in the way and well I couldn't. What is really cool is the colors I chose from the picture this week are the same colors of their challenge last week. How cool is that a 2 for 1...LOL. Their DT's have some really amazing creations too! Thanks ladies for the sketch.

Challenge #24 over at Freshly Brewed Challenges is to create something with a Winter/Christmas Theme. My card fits the bill with the sentiment and the snowflakes.
Another challenge blog I really like to see each week is Crafty Creations and their challenge #95 is also a Christmas theme. On both of these blogs the DT's have some amazing creations too!

The girls at 4 Crafty Chicks have made some really awesome creations again this week. Please hop on over to the individuals blogs to see how they made them and share some love.

Snowflakes and PPC #39

Good Morning from chilly, snowy Millet! It has been freezing and snowing most of the weekend here and yes I am whining...LOL. Yesterday, was my last monthly Stamp Club of the year, which is always a blast and we created some really neat things (they made me laugh so hard my cheeks still hurt this morning) *giggle*.

So let's get onto the really good stuff. Thanks to everyone who played along with our sketch challenge last week. Megan has another fantastic color combo for us this week. We are on Color Combo #39 at Picture Perfect Creations. Now these colors I would never have put them together, but they are awesome. Since it has been snowing so much and chilly also all I could think of is Christmas and snow...LOL. So my idea was snowflakes, yep, you heard me right snowflakes. Oh and guess what???? I am completely done all 25 cards for my husbands work. Now onto my christmas list...hee hee.

This is my creation! Snowflake embossing folder, snowflake stamps, dazzling diamond glitter, pearl, punches and a stamp. Easy peazy right!!! LOL. Hope you like it too.

Now after coming home from creating some really awesome calendar pages and cards yesterday, my brain was a little over loaded and well I wanted to spend sometime with my hubby and kids. So the inspiration for my layout was from Clean & Simple Stamping sketch #117.

My card will be entered into these other fabby challenges this week:

Pile It On - #46 Winter means..... oh to me it sure means lots of snow, cold weather and that christmas is close.

Delightful Challenges - Baby It's Cold Outside (Winter Weather)...girls it is cold here, but not as cold as it could be...LOL.

PaperPlay Challenges - #46 Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow - girls boy did we get snow this week and most of this weekend.

Stampin' B's Design Team - #85 Joanne has picked Snowflakes to be used on the card. It was sure fun to watch the big fluffy snowflakes this week fallening endlessly outside.

Hop on over to Picture Perfect Creation and play this wonderful color combo this week. Be sure to check out the other DT's work...they have some super marvelous creations for you this week (links on my right hand side bar). I would love to hop on over to your blog and share in your creations.

Wishing you a fabby Monday!

Thanks for popping in.

ANYTHING BUT A CARD at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good morning Crafter's. We sure can say winter has hit! It snowed all day yesterday and we have quite a few centimeters of snow! The roads were just nasty to drive on last night. Now I will have to offically dig out my shovel and snow boots...LOL. Not looking forward to going out today after school but alas I need to get Kaitlyn's glasses picked out and ordered.

Thanks to all of the ladies who played in last weeks challenge. There were so many amazing and inspiring cards made.

Onto the good stuff Challenge #12 at 4 Crafty Chicks is hosted by me this week...and I am loving every minute of it. At this time of year everyone is making cards to give out, me included, so I thought it would be fun to make ANYTHING BUT A CARD this week. Do you make other homemade gifts? Every year I do for my kids teachers, my girlfriends and grand parents.

My camera would not work for the last couple of days and so we continue to have a love hate relationship. Thankfully it started working so I could get my projects posted. I started off with two to show you but while I was waiting two more ended up being made...LOL.

Project #1 : Will go to Kaitlyn's teacher. I bought this at Micheals for $2.49 and used STAZON ink, red, green and black.

Project #2: Was made for my dining room table. A little something for me...LOL

Project #3: was made for Kaitlyn's TA in her class. This lady is super amazing and so fun. Candle, stamp, ink, tissue paper, ribbon, snowflake brad, heat gun and wax paper.

Project #4: was made for my nephew. It is a tiny tin that can be used to hold a gift card or gift certificate, notes. Rub-ons were used and then ribbon.

This was so much fun, hope you don't mind me sharing all of these items with you. I can't wait to see what you create this week. Going to see everyones blogs to comment has been awesome for me, I even learned some new techniques and tips this week. Come join us we love having you.

Please hop by to see the other crafty chicks...they made some really amazing creations

Thanks for stopping in.

I really wanted to show you some of my christmas cards that I made. On October 28th Samantha from SP and Company (Scrapmaster's Paradise)was holding a Guest Designer Team Call. I made two cards with this sketch but could only send one in and have just been dieing to show you at least one. So I have decided to show you the one, that I didn't send in. Thank you Samantha for a really neat sketch to work with...yes, I still am secretly hoping that I get picked to work with a wonderful team of ladies. Here is my creation! Riley was another christmas stamp that hadn't been inked! He is so cute and I am going to be doing some more work with this little guy!

It is snowing here a wee bit and just a tad bit chilly! I have my little man Ethan here to brighten my day! I would like to do some crafting today later...so hopefully I get back on here with something fun.

Switching it Up at Picture Perfect Creations

Good Morning! We are switching things up here at Picture Perfect Creations. Can you feel the excitement coming your way! Today we debute Megan's first Sketch Combo #1! We usually only do color combo's but on the 3rd week of the month we are going to do something different! Isn't that exciting? Next week we will be back to a color combo!

I love the sketch and it sure was fun digging threw my papers to find some colors that I could work with. I had several color combo's running threw my head and several different stamps. I stamped three different ones and cut alot of the same kind of designer paper with matching paper and tried to layer it...LOL. Don't you love layering, I sure do but it didn't work for me so on to a clean and simple card. (was to tired from swimming??) LOL. I used the colors real red, garden green, baja breeze dsp and whisper white. Dazzling diamonds, black satin ribbon, snowflakes and swiss dots embossing folder.
When working with this stamp I colored the tree's with my Stampin' UP markers. I forgot that this stampset was in my collect until last night...LOL.
This week at Paper Sundaes their challenge is from their Sundaes Topping Bar punches, ribbon, embossing and the color blue. I used an oval spellbinder, blue, ribbon and two embossing folders.
Wee Memories is a new blog that has been fun to try and enter but I keep missing it...but this week I think I made it. There fantabby challenge this week is to dust off your pattern paper. Some people find it easy to use and I tried on this card to layer two or three but in the end only put one on...LOL. My drawers are full of it...so it is sad that I struggle to use it. My goal is to use more of it and layer it too.
Come out and join us at PPC and try our sketch challenge this week. Can't wait to see you niffty creations. See you soon since I would like to try another color combo with this sketch.

My First Pure Innocence Card!

Good very late night to all of my crafting pals! Today has been an super fabby day since I got to craft all afternoon...yes you heard me alllllllll afternoon *LOL*. My very good friend Lori held a stamp a stack at her place so my mom and I made 12 cards there (they are all really gorgeous...they will be put on here soon)! Thanks girls for the most amazing and relaxing day! After we ate supper tonight and I scoped out some challenge blogs and some very, very cool personal blogs but boy did it feel like time to make another card tonight...yahooooooooooo! Down to my craftroom I went to be inspired by everyones elses creations and challenges.

Since Monday I have been looking at Samantha's color challenge #73 over at Scrapmaster's Paradise. The colors reminded me of Christmas and since I need to make 25 cards for my DH work...this was perfect!

Stamping 411 had an amazing but simple sketch for this week! Wola...then I knew what stamp to use. One night when Lori and I were just stamping and coloring she stamped me some extra's of her cute stamps. I must say sorry for my sentiment...when I finished the card I realized that I didn't put one on and sooooooo the only thing I could do because I embossed that layer of paper and glued me ribbon completely down was to put it just under the image square. I hope this is okay! Thanks again.

The ABC Challenge letter this week was H-for Holidays ( it didn't have to be christmas, but that is where my brain is right now...LOL). Christmas is my favorite Holiday. Thanks ladies for an awesome challenge. Delightful Challenges is to GLITTER it up! What do you know another perfect challenge for me because as you all know I love, love, love dazzling diamonds. I also used the x-mas red stickles.

Here is my christmas card...isn't she just adorable? For months I have been admiring these stamps and thanks to Lori for stamping a few of these babies for me...LOL. It sure was fun to color.

While driving home tonight it was raing and it is just supposed to get colder over night. The weather is changing outside because my house feels chilly!

THanks so much for stopping bye and sharing this little cutie with me. Good night all :)

Feel Better Soon!

Good evening everyone! With today being Rememberance Day here in Canada, we had the day off. This morning my oldest son Tristan played in the Rememberance Day ceremony and Robin, Kaitlyn, Rob and I went too support our troops and remember. I then took my middle son to a friends and well spent just a tad bit too much time on the phone this afternoon...LOL.

Rob shared some really shocking news with me last night! One of his employee's at work her husband had surgery yesterday (we had been visiting with them on Sunday at the Christmas party)! They had found out he has cancer and surgery was done to remove it! We have been praying that they were able to get it all. Rob asked me to make a card for them today and to let them know we care. Now this gentleman he is just awesome and really loves motorcycles....I knew the perfect stamp but wouldn't you know it I don't own it...*gasp*...LOL. So the next best thing I figured was a truck from Little Paper Shop.

After the stamp was picked, I went ahead to find a color combo....the one I went with was The Color Dare - Night of Navy, Soft Suede and Pear Pizzazz. My thought this was a good man card color combo. Thanks for the help ladies. More inspiration the better right? Well I hopped over for that inspiration to Tuesday Morning Sketches and Melissa Craig sure did not disappoint! Isn't this a fantastic sketch...thanks Melissa. Could I make this a 3 in 1 challenge you bet with the good help of the awesome ladies over at Cute Card Thursday their challenge is Anything Goes! Be sure to stop bye these challenge blogs as they are always inspiring.

Here is my card:
Sentiment is by Verve and the truck is Little Paper Shop! Linen thread, navy ribbon, scallop border punch, corner punch, night of navy, whisper white, soft suede, pear pizzazz are all stampin up! Cuttlebug folder Name?? Spellbinders small and large ovals (scalloped too).

Well I should get going and change some laundry over. My kids have tomorrow off, we are busy for the first part of the morning and then I am hoping to hit my craft room to make some more cards. I really need to get working on those christmas cards...LOL. So many idea's and stamps...so little time...LOL. Wishing you all a super Thursday night!

Thanks for stopping in and sharing this card with me! Hugs :)

P.S. Don't forget to hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and Picture Perfect Creations for their challenges this week.

4 Crafty Chicks brings you Challenge #11

Good Thursday morning to you all out in blogger land. Today, in Canada it is a very special day, it is Remembrance Day! It is a Day to remember our soliders. I am truly proud to have them protecting us and others...my respects go out to all of their families today for those lost, for those who are still fighting (their courage) and for their families, who have to live without them. We are truly blessed! Thank you for all you do for us!!

Onto our new challenge this week at 4 Crafty Chicks. The hostess-with-the-mostess is Melissa and she is bringing us CHALLENGE #11 *****SYMPATHY CARD******. These are the hardest cards, I find to make! My fellow DT's have made it look so easy...their cards are stunning (Melissa: My Paper Obession, Leanne: Banking on Crafts and Lori: Inkingly Yours).

Here is my creation for Challenge #11:

Verve, Stampin UP and Little Paper Shop....all have some amazing sympathy stamps and sentiments. The little cross I used this week and the sentiment is from Verve. The cross is elegant and is very versitile. My embossing folders are both cuttlebug and all of my paper are from Stampin UP! as well as the punch, ribbon, dazzling diamonds and the black buttons. The centre of the buttons is tied with cross stitch floss.

This week while I was commenting on some very fabby cards for 4 Crafty Chicks and Picture Perfect Creations I found a new challenge blog. Mary Jo Techno Stamper: Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge is just amazing. Her sketches are so inspiring and I just couldn't wait to do one. Thanks Mary Jo for helping make the process of making my sympathy card a little easier. The only change I made to the sketch was the tilting of the image panel...it just done opposite hope that is okay Mary Jo.

Crafty Creations Challenges new challenge #93 is to use BUTTONS, well that just totally worked for Mary Jo's sketch and my card...LOL!

Crafty CardMakers Challenge for the next two weeks is to Spotlight Dry Embossing! Well these girls are after my own heart...Love, love, love embossing. I used Scripted Texture and Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folders.

Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge (FTTC 92) is to use glitter! I used my dazzling diamonds glitter in the middle of my cross, it isn't ton's but I do think it gives the effect on the card that I wanted. (I started using glitter a couple of weeks ago again and well I just can't stop again...LOL). Super Great Challenge. Another project needs to be done to use more glitter...LOL.

I want to thank Melissa for our challenge this week, it sometimes can be a tough one but they are the kind of cards you just never know when you will need them.

Where ever you are today take a mintue or too of silence for all of the soliders around the world, they are amazing people with amazing courage...we owe them so much. I look forward to seeing all of your creations again this week.

Thanks so much to the girls who gave us some fantabby inspiration this last week at 4 Crafty Chicks. You all rock. Come out and join us for some fun...I love coming to comment on your work. Have a super great Thursday! :)

To everyone who stops by and for those who comment, I really appreciate it thanks:)

Challenges From The Attic #6

Hey all! How is your day going? Mine is going good but I must have had a tad too much junk from my kids goody bags last night. Today, I seem to be dragging a little bit but hopefully a hot chocolate will pick me up....LOL. On Thursday, Challenges From The Attic put up their new challenge for the week. Paula is on Challenge #6 already and this week was BLACK AND WHITE No other color...easy peazy right???? It wasn't too bad for me and well I threw the challenge out to my friend LORI to create a black and white card too...LOL. What are friends for eh! So my card quickly became a Sympathy card, because I was struggling to invision something else...but I know there are so many creations to be made with these two colors.

Here is my creation:

Thanks Paula for such an awesome challenge. IT has been really great to play along with you finally!
Have an amazing day everyone, thanks for stopping in.

Take Time to Chase the Snowflakes and PPC #37

Happy November 1st! Where did October go? Well last night was Halloween and boy did my kids have an awesome time trick or treating with their friends. It worked out wonderful for me because Lori came to visit with me while our kids went out on the town. My other surprise yesterday was my long time friend Chrissy and her sister Wendy(her son) stopped by to visit me. Yes, yesterday was a fantabulous day!

Today is Monday and your know what that means...Megan has another great Color Combo for us at Picture Perfect Creations. We are on Challenge #37 and I love all of these colors but the Cajun Craze threw me a little. Thanks Megan for the super great challenge and for making me step out side of my crafting box...a true challenge.
I went over to see what Card Patterns new sketch was and it was just perfect for these colors. The DT's have awesome creations again...thanks for such a great sketch.

I just love this snowman and sayings! Thanks Lori for letting me get it inky it is stinkin cute and the sayings just rock! Now the Cajun Craze threw me a little so I used it on the snowmans nose and buttons. Not alot of it but enough to make the snowman pop!

This color challenge is awesome...so I hope you will all hop on over to PPC to play with us and to see the DT's creation.
