Come Play at Challenge #47 at Picture Perfect Creations!

Good Monday Morning! I woke up this morning to -36. It was freeeezing. So I got everything ready for my kids to go to school and then I find out that the buses aren't running. So since I live in town the schools are always open (this year even if the buses don't run) but the last time I sent my kids my oldest only had 4 kids in his class. So we made the hard decision to keep them home and warm. We also have ice fog here so I am worried about my hubby going to work.

Well enough of my blabbing. I would like to say thank you to everyone who played with Challenge #46 at Picture Perfect Creations. They were awesome colors and you all showed us some really fantastic work. Love your creativity.

We are getting close close to having 50 challenges "WOOT, WOOT". This week is #47 and the colors are awesome. I will admit that my crafting mojo took a little bit of a dive this weekend and well I struggled putting a card together. When talking to one of our other DT's (Lori), she gave me some crafting inspiration. Down to my craftroom I went and whipped up this card. Hope you like it. Thanks Megan for another great color combo.

This SKETCH from The Sweetest Thing appealed to me because of the clean and simple design I could make. It would be fun to try this one again. Thanks Karen for the fabby sketch. At Crafty Ho's Challenge Blog they challenged us to no DESIGNER PAPER. Well that is right up my alley...my embossing folders came out...LOL. Penny's Paper- Crafty Challenge is an ANYTHING GOES challenge. It works with my card since it doesn't really fit in with some of the usual birthday, anniversary..challenges.

Here is my card for Picture Perfect Creations. I used Rub-on's from Stampin Up (thought the tree had olive leaves but with the camera they almost look Kiwi Kiss. The sentiment is a stamp from Treasure Life (CTMH). My butterfly punches were out once again and a marker from Stampin Up. The embossng folder is a Cuttle Bug one but I am not sure which one.

Hope you all like the card. I know my other partners have made some really, really pretty ones. Be sure to stop bye and check out their creations: Sandy, Paula, Lori, Melissa and Megan. We would love to see what you create. I just love getting to know you all through your blogs.

My day today will consist of doing laundry and making my kids do some school work even though they are at home they can't watch T.V. all day even though that is what they would love today...LOL. We will see how quiet my day is. It will be a very short week for my kids since they have Thursday and Friday off also.

Wishing you a wonderful day! Thanks so much for stopping in. Come and join us at Picture Perfect Creations.

Lori's Color Combo at 4 Crafty Chicks

Wow, our week went bye so fast and here we are ready to share another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge with you. First off I want to thank everyone who played in my recipe challenge, it sure was a fabby turn out. You all rocked it out of the crafting arena. We are lucky to have such creativness being shared with us.

So this week at 4 Crafty Chicks our hostess-with-the-mostess is LORI. We are on Challenge #22 and she has come up with a totally fabby color combo for us. The colors are: VERY VANILLA, WILD WASABI, CRUMB CAKE AND CHOCOLATE CHIP.

As an added bonus this week, it is our prize week. Leanne has offered up the prize this week and I think the goodies in here are fabulous.

I was excited to create a card with these colors. I hopped on over to Stampin Royalty too see what they had for a challenge this week. Low and behold it is a fabby sketch. Sundays with Crissy - challenge for this month is to use Ribbons (chocolate chip was my choice). Simply Create challenge #35 is to use your punches (4 punches used). All of these ladies have amazing creations to be sure to check them out. They really helped me in putting together my card with Lori's fabby color combo.

When I popped on over to Wee Memories their challenge is ANYTHING GOES! It was one that I could enter my card into after I created it. They also have great inspirational ideas.

Here is my card. When I saw the challenge to use your punches and the color combo, it screamed get well soon to me. The store needs some of these cards. Now my image is quite a bit bigger than the sketch for Stampin Royalty, but I loved the Wild Wasabi that I just wanted to stamp it off, so it made the image a bigger square. To add some depth and pop, I used a dauber around the flower and dazzling diamonds on the main flower and around the scallop oval. All stamps, punches, ribbon and paper are from Stampin Up.

It is so exciting to have a color combo here at 4 Crafty Chicks. Thanks so much Lori for challenging me with these great colors. I hope you will take some time to stop bye my other crafty chicks: Leanne, Lori, and Melissa to see their inspirations.

Sorry for the late post, but last night I took a card making challenge from my friend Lori and well it was too late by the time I got that one up...LOL.

I can't wait to see what you will create with these colors. I look forward to coming to your blog and commenting.

Hugs for this Thursday, it is going to be a high of +8 today. Yes you heard me middle of winter and it is +8 when last week we were at -30...LOL. Happy Crafting All!!!

Valentines Challenge From Lori!

Good evening everyone! Today has been a pretty good day but I find that I am a little bit tired. After school my son had his girlfriend Nicole over. She showed me her new E-reader and it looks like it might be fun to actually own one. We enjoyed supper then I was off and running took my other kids to rec night. While I was waiting to go pick up Robin and Kaitlyn, my very good friend Lori called me. We were having some good laughs and I told her my DH would be home late tonight soooooo she threw out a challenge to me. It was so much fun, we haven't done this for a while now because we have 4 Crafty Chicks with our other pals.

Here is Lori's challenge to me: Make a Valentines Day card and use any challenges you want. She said the store could use some V-Day cards...LOL. Of course she was right. Click here to see her card.

So the challenges I used are A Spoon Full of Sugar - VALENTINES is their challenge. Creative Card Crew - their challenge is to USE THE COLORS OF YOUR COUNTRY (mine are red and white for Canada). My next challenge was this cute sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. Timeless Tuedays from Flourishes - challenge is to ADD SOME KIND OF HARDWARE TO YOUR CREATION (mine is the metal flower brad). With all of these challenges it helped get my creativiness flowing.

Here is my card:

I used whipser white and real red paper. The ink is basic black and real red marker. My 1" circle punch and my scallop punch. Several embossing folders, flower brad and hemp twine.

Thank you so much Lori for challenging me to make a card tonight. I really needed it and it was just a blast!!

Don't forget 4 Crafty Chicks has a new challenge tomorrow and Picture Perfect Creations new color challenge went up on Monday and there is still time to play.

Picture Perfect Creations Color Combo #46

Wow, what happened to the weekend! Well no worries, it is going to be a great Monday morning right? You know what Monday Morning means, another fabby challenge brought to you by Picture Perfect Creations.

Thanks to all who entered our specialty challenge this last week. We had an amazing number of enteries and all of them rocked! This week we are back to a color challenge. Megan gave us an a wicked color combo! I just loved it :) The colors are: Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Very Vanilla. With all of the snow lately it is really nice to play with some bright colors. These colors helped me step out of my comfort zone and try something new. Hope you like it! It was so awesome to see the sun this weekend too, it sure does brighten the spirits.

I went looking for some inspiration and let me tell you I found it from my fellow DT's and from a few other challenge sites, who helped me put my card together, Thank You. Papertake Weekly challenge is to use ribbon and pearls (it worked perfect with my bashful blue satin ribbon and vanilla pearls). Stampin Royalty #55 challenge is to use anything with Wings (since these colors had me thinking of spring, I used a bashful blue butterfly). Flutter By Wednesday challenge #138 is a open week (you have to use a fairy, angel or butterfly in your creation). The sketch that really got me thinking with these fabby colors was Card Patterns. It is a beautiful clean and simple.

Here is my card! It is bright with a touch of spring! I used a Martha Stewart punches (flower border and butterfly), linen thread for the cherry cobbler button. I had fun playing with the bashful blue ribbon. The very vanilla is embossed with Victorian cuttlebug folder. My flower was cut out from Blossom Party die and vanilla pearls from Stampin Up. Thank goodness for fun colors that inspire you. Thanks Megan.

What does your Monday hold? I have a friend coming over for a little while and after that it will be finishing up my laundry loads. Blog surfing will be on my list too and hopefully cleaning up my craftroom.

I hope you all can join us again this week. It was so much fun seeing what each of you created. For more inspiration hop on over to Picture Perfect Creations to see Lori, Paula, Melissa, Sandy and Megan! They creations rock:) It has been great seeing our number climbing in the challenges, we would love to see even more this week.

Wishing you all a very happy Monday! Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card with me.

Sweet Stampin, The Sweet Stop and Wee Memories

How is your Saturday going? Well mine is going really good. Tonight I went out to celebrate one of my friends 50th birthdays. Helen, Leona and I were going to take Darlene to the Olive Garden, but wouldn't you know it we couldn't even find a parking spot. So there was a change of plans, we ended up eating a superb supper at Moxies. There is nothing like celebrating with friends to make an evening fun.

This afternoon I made Darlene's card. She likes the color blue and the last few years Leona and her have went to B.C. to have a little vacation. So I couldn't resist stamping with a retired Stampin UP set. This set has a few pictures by the ocean. When I stopped over at Sweet Stampin Challenge Blog- their challenge was CLEAR as MUD - brown with one other color! Whaoooo, this was perfect...who doesn't love brown and blue, right? Wee Memories scrappy Saturday challenge is ANYTHING GOES - mine has celebration, brads, cute stamp and colors. The sketch that I found to work with this beautiful stamp is from The Sweet Stop.

All of the DT's from each of these challenge site sure have some amazing creations that are totally inspiring be sure to stop bye and check them out!!

Here is Darlene's birthday card.

The paper colors are bashful blue, early espresso, early espresso designer paper, and very vanilla as my neutral color. Clear embossing powder was used over Versa Fine black ink and early espresso for the sentiment. Water color pencils were used along with blender pen and copic markers. Brown pearls, brown brad, dimensionals, D'Vine Swirl embossing folder, ticket punch, another punch by SU, flowers from flower die by SU!

It was an absolute blast to make and it sure got me out of my bad mood! She loved her card which made it even better.

Thank you so much for stopping bye and sharing in my friends birthday card with me. Here to wishing you a very good night. Happy Crafting :).

P.S. - There is still some time to join us at Picture Perfect Creations and 4 Crafty Chicks, we would love to have you come and play with us too.

A Recipe Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks

Welcome back to another 4 Crafty Chicks challenge! Thanks to everyone who played with us last week. You really rocked the Metal challenge. This week is my turn to host challenge #21 and it is a RECIPE!! Yep you heard me a recipe...*giggle*. I have wanted to design my own recipe challenge since I played in my first recipe challenge.

RECIPE:

1 RIBBON

2 BRADS

3 PATTERN PAPERS

The real challenge for me was to use three pattern papers. Sometime I just find them hard to use so as a result I break out my embossing folders. Like many of you I have a paper addiction to pretty paper, but it gets put aside in a drawer and not used. So walking on the wild side, three pattern papers it was. My great crafting pals whipped their cards together and boy are they fantastic.
Things have been crazy busy but Lori and I were able to get some more stuff done for our trip in March. It was a good day with laughs and shopping so a little help with idea's was needed. I turned to these fantastic ladies to help me out Inspirational Card Sketches (it is a stunning sketch). Creative Belli Blog Challenge #109 is letter P ( pattern paper and pearl brads). Freshed Brewed Blog #31 - Share some love or Valentines day - my sentiment and color choice!

Here is my creation! My paper ( pretty in pink, chocolate chip, real red, very vanilla), ribbon, felts, heart punch, heart stamp and real red , chocolate chip ink all Stampin Up. Pearl brads and my tree image is new and I think it is a Norwood (??) Stamp. I think the paper worked pretty good together. I would like to do some more with my new stamp, work the colors a little bit better, try some shading with it!

This was a lot of fun for me to make. I hope that you will enjoy a walk on the wild side of pattern paper with me. Each week the I am inspired by what you create. Can't wait to see what you come up with this week for 4 Crafty Chicks.

Be sure to stop bye to see Leanne, Lori, and Melissa for they are crafty chicks alright! Their recipe cards are wonderful. Thanks girls for rockin another challenge!!

Thanks for stopping in, I appreciate!!!

PPC - Specialty Challenge #3

Hi there! It is another chilly morning here in Millet, AB and boy did we get some more snow all day yesterday :). It sure does look beautiful out with the tree's heavy with snow. Can't believe it is still snowing. Even with the snow it seems spring cleaning was in order in my house on Saturday and Sunday. Our vaccum cleaner has not been working well for a while and finally just quit so off we went to buy a new one. When we got home we of course had to vaccum and it made our carpets feel like new. Yesterday, we went threw Robin and Kaitlyn's rooms and took out a bunch of stuff and put things back where they belonged. It feels nice, although a mountain of laundry will be my chore for today...LOL. Enough of my yapping...let's get onto the really good stuff of my post!

Today is a new challenge at Picture Perfect Creations. It is week three in January already and well that means Megan has a SPECIATLY CHALLENGE #3 is to EMBOSS - heat or dry...go for it!! I loved this challenge since, I seem to use it on almost every card (dry embossing). I also ususally emboss my images before coloring but this week I stepped it up and embossed using black embossing powder. The funny part is that I thought I had red embossing powder *gasp* I don't...how on earth has that happened...LOL.

My inspiration for the my colors came from Cupcake Inspirations #94. Just love this color combo.

Inkspirations Challenge #53 is where I got my sketch. It was perfect for the stamp I wanted to use.

Boy oh boy did I have fun embossing. I used the Twizzler, Swiss Dot's, and D'vine Swirl Embossing folders.

The embossing is a little hard to see with the base of the card being white. The other colors of my card are basic black and real red. Pearls (black and white) were used. Three punches and stamp from Stampin Up and black ribbon.

My oldest son has woken up with a head ache this morning and so we will see if he makes it to school this afternoon. Laundry is the call for today! I am hoping to sneak back down to my craftroom and make a card...may the crafting genies agree..LOL.

Please come join us this week for our specialty challenge! It is a fun one and I would love to see what you create. Hop on over to PPC and check out the other DT's work, they work is super cute! Lori, Sandy and Paula.

Thanks for stopping in :)))
Have an amazing Monday!!

Bring on the Metal at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning! Can you believe it is still snowing and it is colder than yesterday with a higher wind chill. Alas I have to go out to get my cards to the store. Pretty sure that they are done with my Christmas ones that didn't sell. Actually I am happy about going to town so that I can see what is new in the store.

So another week has flown bye, did someone put the days on high speed? Yep, today is Thursday and you know what that means...another fabby challenge by 4 Crafty Chicks.
We are on challenge #20...isn't that awesome. Us 4 Chicks have just loved bringing challenges to you.

Challenge #20 this week is brought to you buy our hostess-with-the-mostess MELISSA. What is the challenge you say? Melissa is challenging us to use METAL on our cards. What a terrific challenge since, I have quite a big at home and forget to use it. Thanks girlie for getting me to use my forgotten about goodies.

I used the sketch from Midnight Sketch Challenge #86. Their sketches are awesome because they always have a fancier one and a dressed down one. The other two challenges I would like to enter this one into is Top Tip Tuesday #17 Anything Goes and The Paper Players #29- Valentines Day.

This is my creation for our challenge. The metal on my card are both of the silver flowers and silver brads.

Recipe: Stamp: Whiff of Joy; Paper: Pretty in Pink, Chocolate chip and Real Red; Ink: Versa fine black and pretty in pink; Accessories: pretty in pink ribbon, glue dots, sponge, su markers, copics, filigree brads, pink and brown pearls and Twizzle embossing folder.

If you have some time grab a cup of java, put on some craft making music and show us your inspiration at 4 Crafty Chicks. We would love to see your work this week.

My other Crafty Chicks have created some master pieces this week. Their links are:

Melissa - My Paper Obsesson

May your week be filled with craftiness and may we be lucky enough to share in it!

Thank for stopping bye and sharing with me and 4 Crafty Chicks.

A Huge Thank You to Linda!

Hi there! I have been meaning to get this picture on here for a few weeks now. So in November, I watched a video at http://cardsbylinda.blogspot.com/ on how to make a ATG holder. I commented on it, as it was a super cool idea. Linda notified me that my name was picked to recieve one of the 4 she had made.

I was dancing with excitment. My craft table could a space saver and this was it! So THANK YOU SO MUCH LINDA for your inspiration. Here is a picture of it on my table and well I have moved it around so it is right where I can grab it. Your idea for it rocks and this is soooo appreciated, well used and well love by me.

THANK YOU AGAIN for giving me an awesome space saver (you have made my table a very happy table *wink*). Linda makes amazing cards and has so much inspiration. Please check out her blog.

Monday Lunchtime Sketch meets The Paper Players

Hi there my crafty friends! How are you doing today? Today, it is a balmy -26 here and snowing a little bit. Last night, I made a card for these two challenges but at the end of it was not feeling well enough to put it on my blog. Even though I am not perky at all today, I wanted to show you what I made.

The Paper Players have a theme challenge this week. All of the DT's have amazing cards. I need to get some cards made for Valentines Day and get them into the store where I sell my cards. Thanks ladies for helping me get crackin. Oh and my good friend Lori, started to make some Valentines Day cards too. thank for your inspiration.

Techno Stamper has an amazing sketch for us to use this week. Mary Jo also made a very cute Valentines day card with her sketch! Another source of great inspiration.

Here is my simple card! I was able to use Love You Much stamp set from SU and the heart punch I actually borrowed from my daughters collection of punches. Good thing her grandma gave it to her for christmas *giggle*. The pattern paper is Sending Love Speciatly paper from SU, pearls and chocolate chip ink and marker.

My lighting was a little off. You can't see the glitter on the pattern paper or that it is raised (it really is stunning) and the hearts are also colored with glitter.

I hope you like it! Thank so much for taking the time to share my card with me. Have an amazing day and hope you get the chance to stay warm.

New Color Combo at Picture Perfect Creations

Good Morning to you from snowed in central Alberta! We have gotten quite the dump of snow since Friday! It isn't exactly how much snow we would get when I was younger, but it was a good snow storm and it brought back some great memories. Last week we were at +3 now we are at -25 here we go to the deep freeze...LOL.

My kids are taking turns getting sick. Friday my daughter was home not feeling well and today it is my middle son Robin. My other two went to school, but probably won't have many kids in there classes since the buses are not running today.

I was wondering if anyone else has problems with posting from blogger? This is my second time writing up posts going to publish them and it says it can't due to an HTML error. I don't know what it means but would love some help to figure it out.

Can you believe we are on Challenge #45 at Picture Perfect Creations! That is so exciting. Thanks to everyone who joined us last week, it was so much fun to see you amazing creations. Megan has set us up with some bright fabby colors this week. They are: Bravo Burgandy, River Rock, Perfect Plum and Wild Wasabi. It took me a bit to figure out what I wanted to do, but when the inspiration hit my craftroom was up and running.

The sketch I am using this week is from The Sweet Stop! Isn't it a fun layout. Sunday's with Crissy challenge this week is to use Ribbon's. I had fun using Bravo Burgandy and Whisper White Ribbon.

So this is my Kraftin Kimmie that my friend Lori gave me for my birthday. It is so sad it has taken me this long to get her inky, but she was perfect for this challenge (can't wait to use other colors with her too). Thanks Lori for this fabby stamp.

Recipe: Stamps: Kraftin Kimmie and Vintage Labels (SU); Paper: Bravo Burgandy, River rock Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Whisper White; Inks: Versa Fine Black, Bravo Burgandy and Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi; Accessories: corner punch, small oval punch, button, scrappers floss grey, pearls, clear embossing powder, swiss dots embossing folder and Flower vine embossing folder, Ribbon, copics and SU markers

What does your day have in store for you? Today, my washer and dryer are going to have a work out. I want to get a bunch done, but I am hoping to be back on here with another card sometime today. The store where I sell my cards in needs some more cards. It sure would be great to get inky today! Other than picking my kids up I am staying toasty warm in my house, with a cup of hot chocolate and some of my new candles burning.

Please come join us for some fun at Picture Perfect Creations. We would like to see your creations, so put on some music, grab a cup of java and create with us. Can't wait to stop bye and see what you made. Lori, Paula, Sandy and Melissa have some amazing creations too. There links are on my side bar.

Sorry for the late post, I will figure out my HTML problem but hopefully my crafty friends can give me some advice. Thanks so much for stopping bye.

Stay warm and here is a smile being sent your way.

Challenge #19 at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Thursday morning! It sure has been some wild weather here in central Alberta. The last few days have been above zero, which is not too common at the beginning of January. Then buy Monday we are supposed to be down to -20...what a swing...LOL. You know most people tend to relax when their kids go to school, not me, my kids went to school Monday and I got sick with the flu on Tuesday and now have a head and chest cold. I have not been feeling too good. I could have thought better ways to spend my day...LOL. Enough of my blah, blahing and onto the really good stuff.

Leanne is our super fabulous hostess this week at 4 Crafty Chicks. I love the way she thinks. For challenge #19 the theme is "Travel". Now what a fun challenge this was for me. It wasn't one that I guess I would have considered doing...but let me tell you I loved it! Oh and to let you know we will be posting out winners sometime Wednesday night from now on and then our challenges on Thursday. Hopefully you will enjoy not scrolling so far down to enter your creations.

Stacey's Stamping Curtain Call Challenge was just the colors I was looking for to go with Leanne's theme.

On wards to the sketch from Melissa at Tuesday Morning Sketches, it was a fabby and worked really well with our Travel theme and the colors.

Here is my card! He is so cuuuute. I was given this stinkin cute stamp bye my friend Leanne. It has made me smile and boy oh boy it was fun getting him inky. Gus (Totally Stampalicious) kind of reminds me of my dad...LOL. Pile It On Challenge #1 Brand Spankin New (my new items were both of my stamps (image & word), my pearls and a new pair of scissors. Card Makin Mamas Challenge #11 is Anything Goes (a new challenge blog for me and it look like a lot of fun). I just love this time of year when I get to use new things that really, really like.

Recipe: Stamps: Totally Stamalicious and Cloud9 Design simple thoughts - Travel; Paper: Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, whisper white, Cajun Craze and always Artichoke; Ink: Versa Fine black and always artichocke; Accesories: small and large circle spellbinders, pearls, copic markers and SU markers, herringbone and swiss dots embossing folder, clear embossing powder and dimensionals.

Everyones cards last week were soooooo creative! Thank you so much for sharing them with us. Congratulations to each of the winners.

We would love to have you come over and play our travel theme with us. Lori, Melissa and Leanne have rocked it out of the park again with some awesome inspiration.

What are you up to today? I am up really early to babysit before and after school today. During the day catch will be what I am playing. In between catch up, it will be wonderful to just stay in my house for most of the day...except maybe driving the kids to school.

Have an amazing day and do come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week, we love seeing what you have to share with us.

PPC #44 meets Stella

Good Morning my fellow crafters! Can you believe we are already into day 3 of the New Year! All I can say is WOW :). Today is my DH last day of holidays and my kids first day back at school. The last two weeks have just flown bye. Did everyone have a good Christmas and a good New Years? We sure did nothing to complain about that is for sure just a whole lot to be grateful for.

Now onto the main reason we are here...not to hear me yap, but to reveal the new fabby colors at Picture Perfect Creations by Megan. Before I get to that, I just really want to take the chance to thank everyone who played last week, it was blast stopping bye your blogs. Back to the amazing colors from Megan: Tempting Turquoise, Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip and Tangerine Tango.

When looking at them a stamp that I was given by my really good friend Leanne popped into my head and said "pick me, pick me". Thank so much Leanne for the awesome stamps...it was so much fun to get them inky. Our Design Team at Picture Perfect Creations have come up with some rockin cards this week. Be sure to hop on over to check them out.

The sketch I used is from Stamping 411. I was so excited to use this sketch because I now have the same punch as on sketch. My image is a little bit bigger than theirs but I was able to put almost everything on the sketch that they did. The bottom punch became my pearls up top. Thanks ladies for a super sketch.

Crazy 4 Challenges #68 is to "celebrate something". My something this time is a birthday. Who couldn't resist Stella...I just get a kick out of her. Paper Sundaes #50 is to "use something new" my new for this card is the Stella Stamp set by Totally Stampalicious, punch (SU), ribbon (SU), tangerine tango paper (SU) and Twizzle embossing folder by Sizzix, brads and pearls and the copic markers as well as some SU markers. Pretty much the whole card...LOL.

Hope you enjoy Stella, with our new color combo. Here is my creation.

Celebration

Good evening! Well yesterday I got way ahead of myself and thought that I could make two cards...well it didn't happen but I sure did find some fabby challenges that were on my list to work with today.

It has been to exciting to be in my craftroom with some new goodies that I had before Christmas but didn't get the chance to use them. Paper Makeup Stamps with their Make up 4 The Weekend challenge was to use black, silver and white! I love working with these colors. Crazy 4 Challenges #68 is to "celebrate something"---with it being the new year is not hard to do. Paper Sundaes #50 is to use something new - new ribbon, new punch (have been just itching to use them since before christmas)...LOL. So peeps I had my colors picked, new I wanted to celebrate, use something new...now all that was needed was a sketch Just Us Girls Challenge #65 happens to be a wonderful sketch this week. Thank you so much ladies for all of these wonderful challenges. They made my card easy peasy! Love it!!!

Here is my creation! I have a stamp set but have only used two stamps out of it (not good I know) but this flower just seemed so perfect for celebrating. Silver paper is so beautiful in cards but alas it isn't something I use very often. Before christmas I finally bought this new punch and ribbon from SU, well my fingers have been itching to break it in with some paper (oh the things that can make a girl happy...LOL). Looking at my card on here my black ink looks a little purple but is Basic Black from Stampin Up. Hope you enjoy this card. I had so much fun making it.

Recipe: Stamps: All Year Cheer II (SU) and Teasure Life (Close to my Heart); Paper: Silver, Basic Black, DSP and whisper white (all SU papers); Ink: basic black; Accessories: Ribbon (SU), punch (SU), flower brads and D'vine Swirl embossing folder, pop ups.

My pictures for the last few posts have been taken right on my crafting table. The light seems to be good and I think they are pretty good. Please let me know if I should change back to my counter top.

This evening has been fun filled, I have made another card today and it will be revealed tomorrow morning with my Picture Perfect Creations post...with some fabby new colors. Please come and join us.

Thanks to all of the challenges blogs out there who help keep my creativeness going.

Wishing you a great night on the second day of 2011. Thanks for stopping in.

New Years Day - Happy Birthday Card #1

Happy New Year's Day! How was your night...ours was eventful...(LOL) but not the way you think. Our dishwasher wouldn't drain...so we had water ever where as our New Years Eve consisted of fixing it. We did however have a good time getting passport pictures for Robin & Kaitlyn, a little shopping, we made homemade pizza, then at 10 pm I picked my oldest son up from a friends, we did the count down and finished the night off with a movie "Shek Ever After".

Today has been a quiet one, my oldest is snowmobiling and everyone else is out to play with their cousin. It left me sometime to finally finish my card from Thursday afternoon and get some cleaning done and supper on. My parents are coming and my oldest son's friend for a roast, potatoes and carrots. It is cooking now.

So the sketch that I have wanted to work on since Monday is at Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge by Mary-Jo at Techno Stamper. Her sketches are awesome to work with can't wait to see what she has for us in 2011.

Now a color combo was a must for me so I stopped bye The Color Dare to see what they had this week...and boy they didn't disappoint, another fabby challenge #90 BAJA BREEZE, PINK PIROUETTE, RICH RAZZLEBERRY AND VERY VANILLA!

Now for a theme: Stampin' B's Design Team challenge #91 this week is to make a celebration card! Right away I decided on a Birthday card.

Here is my Happy Birthday card. Isn't she a cutie...well I won her at my Stampin' Club's Chinese exchange...and this was the perfect time to get her inky. I might have gone over board with the bling...but I felt like my card was lacking something. So bling it was...LOL.

Recipe: Stamps: Peek a Bunny - Sugar Nellie Stamps, Happy Thoughts - Verve and Annabelle Stamps; Paper: Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Rich Razzleberry, Very Vanilla; Ink: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry; Accessories: circle punches (SU), markers (SU), scallop border punch (SU), butterfly punch (MS), paper piercer, gems and pearls, Swiss Dot embossing folder.

Well, I think I hear another card calling my name...LOL. Challenge surfing I go. I want to thank the ladies for the fabby challenges I entered this card into, it was a blast to see your inspiration and fun to play. :)

Thank you so much for stopping bye...may today bring you something to laugh about.

P.S. Don't forget get to stop bye Picture Perfect Creations we have an awesome color combo this week and we at 4 Crafty Chicks have an awesome challenge for you too. Please come bye and join us we would love to have you.
