Welcome Friends

Hello, as I am typing this we have clouds on one side of our house and blue skies on the other. I totally prefer the blue sky as it has been very cloudy here this past week.  A few days ago we had a rain storm just like it was spring, it was really weird since it is the middle of Winter.

Over at 4 Crafty Chicks we are on Challenge #283 and our beautiful and multi talented hostess this week is Lori.  She would like us to make NO CARDS.  Well did I ever have to put my thinking cap on for this one.  So I thought and I thought just like Winnie the Pooh. There were these plaques that are very old that were being sorely neglected and Rub Ons too that have not seen the light of day for quite some time.  So a light bulb moment happened and a crafty project was born.

The project up above is for a friend.  They are renovating a very old house and I am hoping the colors match. She loves homemade stuff and thought it would be something brand new to put up in her home when they finally get moved in.

We would love to see you master pieces that you make over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  For more wonderful inspiration please hop on over to see what my fellow Chicks have for you.

Thanks for sharing my latest creation with me.

Daisy Cupcake

Welcome to my blog.  It is Thursday and I have a brand new creation for Creative Knockouts.  Our sponsor for this week is Fred She Said and the price they have for the winner is a $10 Gift Certificate.  I would like to thank them for letting me use Daisy CupCake.

For Challenge #125 Embossed Delights.  I adore embossing because of the different textures you can add and heat embossing can pack a punch too.  My image is colored with Copics and the circles are spellbinders.  The ink and paper are both from Stampin UP. As you can see for the above picture, I used Wink of Stella on the Daisy. I just love this stuff for a touch of sparkle.

Cupcakes are good at anytime but I love them with as a birthday gift too.

We would love it if you came on over to Creative Knockouts the other DT's inspiration and so that we can checkout what embossing inspires in you.

Thank you for stopping by and sharing in my latest creation.

Get Well Wishes

Hello! It is Thursday and you know what that means, another fun filled new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We are on Challenge #281 and Tina's challenge is to use CHEVRON.  Leanne, Tina and Lori have some amazing inspiration for you too.

My card above is made out of stampin up paper, embossing folder, 3 hand punches.  The flourish is from an unknown brand, same with the flowers and brad.  My mom gave me this fantastic pattern paper. Thanks mom for helping me out with another creation.  The paper is exactly what I needed.

We would love to see you come and play with us over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I look forward to checking out all of the inspiring creations.

Here is wishing you a fantastic week ahead. Hope you get some crafting in too.

Book Lover

Creative Knockouts has a brand new challenge for you today.  I am so excited as always to share my latest DT creation for them with you.  We are on Challenge #123 ALL that GLITTERS.  I would like to thank the sponsor this week (SLS Lines Digital Stamps) for letting me color up Book Lover.

It is hard to see all of the glitter that I have going on here but there is alot.  I have dazzling diamonds going around the first oval.  Then a darker silver around the outside.  I also used Wink of Stella on her eye lids, the book pages and on the binding of the book. I love glitter and I tried something new this time.  Doing just the edges.  It was tedious but a lot of fun.  I haven't used actual glitter in a long time. Some paper piercing and texture highlight this image colored with copic markers.

Prize: 3 digis

Beach Cat...4 Crafty Chicks & GDT call

Hello, Hello, Hello! Welcome back to my blog this week. My latest creation is for 4 Crafty Chicks. Our hostess this week is our one and only Leanne. For challenge #280 - Tropical is what she would like to see.  We also are holding a Guest Designer Call for the months of February, March and April. If you are interested please add GDT behind your name when entering our challenge.

The temperatures have been dropping here in my new home Wainwright, Alberta and we have gotten a wee bit of snow.  Really can't complain about the weather but it does make one dream of a warm vacation.  My card above is well not as tropical as my teammies but when making it I thought of our trip to Mexico and the beautiful flowers and thought it was paradise.  The cat image is from Inky Impressions and well I just love cats and this is what I would look like on the beach, hence the name Beach Cat. I fussy cut the cat out and popped it up over the glittered flower.

Looking for more inspirations be sure to hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks our DT will knock your tropical socks off. Don't forget we are having a Guest Designer Call.

Thanks for stopping by.

Sakura Maiden

Good, Good Day!! It is a sunny and beautiful day! Today, I am showing you my first card made in my brand new craft room.  We moved to Wainwright, Alberta during December and it has been crazy.  It has been a blessing this Holiday season as we have had our family around us.  We will being missing family and friends but will always look forward to seeing them and spending quality time together.

My first card for the new year is for Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  However, we are still looking for stuff and not sure where I put it.  Now comes the challenge of finding a better way to take my pictures so you get to see a better quality picture. We have two brand new sponsors for you this month. We are on Challenge #25 and as always it is easy peasy...ANYTHING GOES. The image I colored with my Copics is called Sakura Maiden and is created by MoonFlower Digital Stamps.  The image is super beautiful and was fun to color.  Thank you so much for letting me use this image to create with.

Let me tell you my brain was a little sluggish while creating but it felt awesome to make a card and color. You can't see it but I used Wink of Stella on the red and white flowers to add pop and it does look gorgeous just wish you can see it.
