Flower Fairy

Good, good morning from chilly Wainwright, Alberta, Canada.  The wind was a chilly one yesterday and today we are the weather forecasters are saying 60% chance of snow. I have to say we really enjoyed New Years as it was spent with my mother and father-in-law. We had a good chance to catch up.

The above card is my brand new DT creation for the first challenge of 2017 for Creative Knockouts. Kelly decided to keep our 175th challenge an easy one....are you ready to see it? ANYTHING GOES. Yep, you got it break out your goodies and show us what inspired you this week. With start of the new year, our first sponsor is All Dressed Up Stamps and they have let me work with Flower Fairy. The above image was colored with Copic markers and Wink of Stella on her wings. The pattern paper is from my scrap stash. The embossing folder, pop-ups, doily, and paper are from Stampin Up. The flowers are unknown.

Benson and Betty

Good morning! I do believe that this week we have been battling the cold weather and trying to stay warm. It is definitely bit colder than  normal for this time of year. Yesterday was the start of basketball season for our daughter and some of her friends.  They played their first game and won 49-27. A great start to the season.

Today I am here sharing with you a second card. This card is made for Creative Knockouts and for Challenge #171 Snow Much Fun! Here in Canada we are working on the snow much fun part (hee hee). I have two pictures below one brighter and one darker, I wanted to show you the sparkle of my snow. Thank you so much to our sponsor this week from Crafty Sentiment Designs;  Benson-and-Betty was a super fun image to color up.  My card is colored with Copic's and using Stampin Up Paper and Dazzling Diamonds. The Dies are from My Favorite Things and the snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart Punch.

With Sympathy

Good Morning!  I am super excited to be back with another DT creation for the new challenge over at Creative Knockouts!  Our sponsor for Creative Knockouts this week is Dilly Beans Stamps, they have many cool digis!

We are on Challenge #19 - Buttons, Buttons, Whose Got The Buttons!

I am using an image called Doodle Flower 1 #541 there are just so many possibilities for color combos for this.  I chose to use colors that are similar but would love to try this with reds, orange and yellows.  As I am putting my card on I realized that I have made another almost all white card again.  I promise next time you will see more colorful papers.  The flower is my main image for this sympathy card.  This card is for the staff at my kids elementary school they use to go too.  On boxing day they lost a member of their staff who has worked there for many, many years.  This card is for the staff as this teacher was a very special person who left an incredible mark on all of her kindergarten students over the years.  She was a very unique person and so is this flower so I wanted it to be the highlight of my card.  I couldn't wait to break out the buttons as, I thought they were an added touch to the flower.

First Post as DT for Cards Galore

Good Morning everyone and Happy New Years! May this year find you in good health with laughter, peace, love, joy and hopefully some good old crafting time thrown in. 

I am super excited that today is my first post for Cards Galore as a DT member.  Cards Galore challenges last a full month so lots of time to get crafty and play. The challenge blog is under new management from Denyse and Isobel, they have taken over the reins of our Challenge Blog and I am excited and look forward to working with them; as well as the new Design Team.
