Richly Blessed

Good evening everyone. Today has been a wonderful day. It has finally started snowing here in my neck of the woods. It is starting to feel a lot like Christmas outside. This morning I thought I would check out the Mojo Monday Challenge and boy was I excited about what I saw. The circles I knew would be a real challenge for me. No spellbinders for this girl yet...but they are on my Wish List...LOL.

How did I make my circles? Well I took out three different sized cups and traced them. Although I don't have scallops, which I would have loved, I think this card turned out to be pretty effective.

The Mojo Monday Challenge design is below my card, next time I will try to switch them around. Thanks Mojo Monday for a fanastic opporunity.

Recipe:
Stamps: Thankful Blossoms (Verve)
Paper: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, Whisper White, Cottage Wall DSP
Ink: Black
Accessories: Markers (SU), gems, Paper peicer and dimensionals, 3 different sized glass cups.

Wishing you all a terrific day tomorrow. Until next time continue to smile.

Christmas Card Creations

Good evening to all the crafters out there. Today was a good day. It was the last craft day at our church until January. It is just a really nice day where you can get together with no kids and do whatever craft your heart desires. It could even mean just drinking coffee and chatting. Although I had tons of idea's flying around my head, I just wasn't speedy...LOL. The Verve blog and the new release sure had my mind a twirling. Last night I did their blog hopping and it was a blast.

This card was my first one that I wanted to make. Boy oh Boy I just recieved this Cuttlebug folder in the mail and wanted to use it so badly. Today was the day. I also made another one of these, but on the stars I put Dazzling Diamond glitter.

Recipe:

Stamp: Four the Holidays
Paper: Night of Navy, Real Red and Very Vanilla

Ink: Night of Navy

Accessories: Cuttlebug folder (Joy & Cheer), ticket punch (SU), Blue snowflake brads.

Another treat that I received in the mail this week was this snowman. He is offically my favorite. I struggled with this card though, it just didn't seem right. The Designer paper is some of my favorite, but I struggled with how it looked on this card. It seems like there just might be to much of it. Please let me know what you think.

Recipe:
Stamps: Four the Holidays (SU), Country Snowman (high Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DP (all SU).
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Old Olive Ribbon, Martha Stewart punch, oval pearls, Markers (SU), ticket punch.

My favorite card is right here. It didn't take me long with this one. I changed how much DP was on this card. I really like it, well who wouldn't with this cutie!!!! :). I made some other changes too. I hope you like this one as much as I do.

Recipe:
Stamps: Flaky Friends (SU), Country Snowman (High Hopes Rubber Stamps)
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive, Garden Green, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Ribbon, Markers (SU), chocolate chip pearls.

Good crafting, lots of laughing with good friends makes for an amazing day. Wishing you all a good evening and hopefully some crafting....:)

Til next time, take some time to share a smile with someone it might just make their day!!!!

Thanks for stopping bye.

Crazy for Crafting!!!!

Last night my good friend Lori and I were crafting. Most of the designs for the cards were cased from Dawn Easton. We loved her layouts and did change up a few of her layouts with different colors, punches, and some other little ideas. Please check out my friends blog at Inkingly Yours. It was nice to take a little break from christmas cards...but only for a bit "wink, wink" :). I just loved the colors and designs of these two cards. We made two of each and the second ones had a different saying or pearls.

Home for Christmas

Good night everyone. Well it is almost morning here...LOL.
I had fun coloring this card. My problem was picking the paper...I cut more than I should have. Lesson pick my colors first...LOL. Oh and I free styled the snow and I think I will stick with the Swiss Dot's, I always over do it :) :)
Let me know what you think of the color combo with the stamp. This is my first time using this stamp. I got it last year. It is very cute and different layouts would look very neat.
I used Home for Christmas stamp, Paper: very vanilla, real red, chocolate chip and designer paper. Markers, and dazzling diamond glitter. Very Vanilla Ribbon
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a good sleep, I am now head off to bed.
Til next time keep smiling.

Season's Greetings

Good afternoon Everyone!!!
It is a very beautiful day here a little windy, but the sun is awesome. Wishing you all some laughter today.

So this was the card I was working on last night. I felt it was lacking something so I was trying to improve it a bit...LOL. It turned out so much different than what I had in my head...:) :)

This is my second attempt at sprucing up this card. This time instead of the navy pearls, I used gold brads and I braided the gold elastic, because I just was not sure what to do. It just seemed like it was missing something near the bottom. I think it looks ok. I love this stamp it is beautiful.
What you need:
Stamps : Scenic Season
Paper: Night of Navy, Brushed Gold and Very Vanilla
Ink: Versamark
Other: gold brads, gold embossing powder, and gold elastic and a punch.
I am working on another card that I hope to post this evening, it might be late, but I hope not.

Their cards were amazing. Here is the link to the one with always artichoke, and chocolate chip.http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1533751?&cat=16101
The second one was the more simple sympathy card with the Tree, going grey and always artichoke. Her name is Diane Cramer here is the link to the page where I found it http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1534184?&cat=16101

Sharing in your Sorrow

Good day my crafting friends, today, I got down to business. On Monday I found out about two people I knew who died suddenly. My prayers go out to their families. So needless to say, I had to go about making sympathy cards, I do find it hard to make these cards...needless to say I procrasinated a lot. They allow me too much time to think, but today I discovered that by taking the time to make them a card, I am honoring them and their memory.

I made few different cards today, some are just variations with different saying or different layering of the cards. I made two of each card today.

The first card I designed back in July for my uncles funeral. My husband has picked this card for his co-worker who lost her fiance.

How to make: Cuddlebug folder, black ribbon and black ink(su), scallop punch, small oval punch (su), paper: black, white and going gray (su) and stamp is from the Little Paper Shop.

These next two cards I used going gray and white paper (su). Stamp set Thoughts and Prayers (SU). Always Artichoke ribbon and ink.
I saw this card on Splitcoast stampers. The lady who did this card only used white card stock. I added the going grey. I don't know if the the tree and ribbon are the same color. It was beautiful. I could not get onto the site tonight but I will post her name on here as soon as I can.

The next two cards, the idea's were from the same lady on split coast stampers. She is very talented. I made some changes to her card to make it my own, but the basic idea was all hers. Again I will post her name tomorrow.
Stamp Set: Thoughts and Prayers (SU). Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU) Paper: Always Artichoke, chocolate chip and very vanilla (SU). Punch from (SU), Glitter: Dazzling Diamonds (SU) (only on one). Stickles: Cinnamon (I think???)

My final two cards of the night. I broke open my verve stamps. I absolutely love this cross, it was awesome to design these cards with. I would like to emboss it next time. It is another plain one.
I used Glitter: Dazzling Diamond(SU). Paper: Black, white and bashful blue(?) (SU), Black and white ribbon(SU), ticket punch (SU) and finally some pearls. as a finishing touch.
I hope you enjoy these cards. If you have any idea's on how I could change them up or what you think of them please drop me a line.
Wishing you a fanastic day tomorrow. It is time I hit my bed, morning will come very early.
Thanks for stopping in. Til tomorrow keep on smiling.

Christmas Cards Group #3

Hi Fellow Crafters!!!
Today, has been a really good day. My husband and I went out for a walk this morning and as always it was beautiful and warm. When I got home, I thought today is the day....break out the new stamps and start creating.

So that is what I did. These cards are not in the order I made them, but I did design them and tried a few different things on each one. It was
fun...all though I am a little slow. Trying to decide on the paper was half of my battle. The new paper I got was calling to be opened, but to tell you the truth I think I am a paper addict...LOL. It was so hard to choose, which to use. All in all it turned out alright...well at least I hope so.

My creative juices are flowing now and I can't wait to design somemore. I have so many stamps that have not been
used and they are crying out for my ink pads....LOL. Designing some more cards are in order...so please stay tuned...for the next project.

It was so relaxing and the music today just lifted my spirits, my paper obsession is back.

Project Items:

Ink:

Black ink (SU)

Stamps:

Four the Holidays (SU)

Snag'em Stamps (mittens)

Accessories:

Christmas Cards Group #2

Hi everyone. I hope you had a good last few days. Mine have been good.

The three cards on this blog my mom made for me. She gave me two of each card. I will be sending them out as christmas cards this year. She is an amazing mom, knowing I was feeling down about not going crafting and well just having one of those days, so she made me these cards to cheer me up. They did. My mom is a very crafty lady and she is my hero.

I am struggling with my camera, it is not taking good pictures lately. I was unable to get a nice picture of my pumpkins, so that is why they didn't make it on here. I look forward too next year. Does anyone have a type of camera that they like...I am looking for a new one. I am open to suggestion...please. I would like a really good one so that I can get my craft items and other things on here faster. Please drop me a line. I would love the help.

To my crafting pals, I hope you are excited for christmas too. I am starting a new cross stitch as a christmas present. Can't wait to post it on here. I really need to hurry though because December is coming in a hurry.

Other crafts I have been working on are my tiger cross stitch and my afghan. Pictures to be posted soon.

Wishing you all a tons of laughter today!!!!!

Thanks for stopping in.

A Frightful Sight...!!!!

A Frightful Sight!!!!!
The kids were ready to go...trick or treating. It was a beautiful night no snow or rain and very warm. The kids had a blast going from house to house, oh and the candy...wow. The six of them are very good friends. It was the most relaxing and fun night that I have had in years. What a blast. Hope you all had a fanastic halloween. I will try to get pictures of our pumpkins on right away.

So the next day my girlfriend Lori and I went to the grocery store...and what did we hear.....can you guess? I think it will suprise you. On Nov. 1, we came home with this song in our head...grandma got run over by a rein deer. For 10 mins. of shopping we listen to christmas music.....it was a surprise...Halloween did not last long...LOL.
Wishing you a fanastic afternoon. I hope to have pictures of my pumpkins and another set of Christmas cards, that my mom made for me to cheer me up on here by tonight. I get to hand them out (lol...the cards not the pumpkins...lol). Can't wait to show you.
Keep smiling.
