School's Out at 4 Crafty Chicks

Helloooooooooo! Where has the week gone? What have you been up too? Me, well I have spent the better part of the week gutting out stuff from my house, laundry and driving my oldest son around to different towns.  He is a soccer Referee and oh is he loving making money.  The best part is the quiet time I get to have to think and work on a bible study.  In case I don't get on here by Sunday, I want to say a huge Happy Canada Day to my family, friends and all Canadians out in blogger land.

It is Thursday so you know what that means.  Another wonderful challenge for us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our very talented hostess for this week is Lori.  It is an awesome challenge and one that many of us already do so it should be easy peazy.

Challenge #96 - SCHOOL'S OUT!!

My kids were out of school on June 15 but many school's around our area were not out until yesterday.  Two of my friends (fellow chicks) Lori's and Melissa's children were out of school yesterday.  So now we can all jump for joy and enjoy our summer.

My card is one that I made for one of Kaitlyn's teachers.  That week was so busy so clean and simple was the way to go.  This card is made using Rub-Ons.  At one point and time I had to buy almost everyone that Stampin Up came out with...LOL.  Sadly, they get forgotten in my crafting drawer.

I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes!

Please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and see what my fellow Design Team members have created for us this week.  Come join us for this fun challenge.  It is so much fun to see what you create and coming to see so many fabulous blogs.

By the Sea for you and me....

Good morning! This week is my week to be the hostess at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Every 2-4 years we are lucky enough to go to Victoria, B.C. to visit my sister, my niece and nephew and my auntie, uncle and cousins.  It always is an amazing time and always too short.  The ocean is a huge part of the visit. It is a place we spend tons of time exploring and sometimes just sitting still as a family and watching the wild life in the ocean. We all love the lighthouses too!

For this challenge I thought of my husband, he has always wanted to learn how to sail and he truly loves watching them glide across the water.

Here is my creation for this week.  I am hoping to add another card later on as I found I stamp that oh has not been used in way to long.  Clean and simple, it is but I hope you enjoy it.  Be sure to stop bye and see my fellow chicks since they have such amazing creations to share ( Leanne, Lori, Melissa and Alethea).

I would love to enter my card into  Make It Monday - Anything Goes!! The DT's also have fabby creations.

Be sure to stop by and join us! I just can't wait to see what you create.  It is always awesome hopping on over to your blogs.

Please have an amazing day and a super positive one!!

Fabulous Sketch at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good Morning to you! Today is a rainy day and is kind of following my mood a little bit.  To my fellow DT members, I apologise to all of you for my lack of commitment of getting my creation done on time this week.  To my fellow followers, to you I say sorry for not having my regular post ready for you to see.  The last few weeks have been very emotional and this last week my emotions are sitting so close to the top that I cry at the drop of a hat.  School is finally done for me here but who knew that I could feel so incredibly happy and devastated at the same time.  Enough of my blabbing and whining and onto the challenge for this week.

Our fabulous Melissa is our hostess-with-the-mostess at 4 Crafty Chicks this week.  We are on challenge #94 and since we haven't done a sketch in a while Melissa has whipped a nice and easy one up for us.

Check this out!!!

Here is my creation! This weekend is Father's Day and well I must say where has the month of June gone already!  Half over fore sure.  So when I saw Melissa's sketch for us, my idea was a Father's Day card, after a few wrecked cards from my tears this is what I came up with.

Hope you enjoy it!!

Please come out and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We love seeing what you create each week and truly it is a blast to come over to your blog and get to know you a little bit.   Be sure to hop on over to see what my fellow DT's have whipped up!!

Have an amazing weekend and thanks for stopping bye.

My second Monochromatic card!

Good Morning! Whew, I think that I am glad Wednesday is over. So many unexpected things happened yesterday, so really I hope today is going to be a little more quiet.  For my oldest son today is his official last day of classes and then exam week is next week.  My middle son got a concussion and basically his last day of school was May 30 and no finals for him.  Our daughter's last day of school is next Friday!! Bring on summer right....LOL.

Man did I ever love all of the branching out creations this past week.  Some casing just might have to happen.  We are onto challenge #93 at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and our very talented hostess is LEANNE!

 Challenge #93 - Monochromatic

She has an amazing challenge for us and one I struggle with but in the end it must be coming easier because this little baby was whipped up in a 1/2 hour.  WHOOT, WHOOT!! If only you could see my crazy dance.

Here is my creation.  It is made with whisper white card stock, using a stamp from Stampin Up, oval punch, border punch and one of their embossing folders.  The other folders are cuttlebug.  Now my beautiful butterfly was hand made my Lori's auntie Sharon.  She does amazing crocheting. She makes flowers for us too and well she is so talented and has more patience than me to do this delicate stuff.  Thanks Sharon.  I feel it adds a bit of pop to the card.  Hope you think so too.
I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes

We have a surprise this week and it is that we have our new Guest Designer Alethea.  She is going to be with us for the month of June and boy is she one talented lady.  My other fellow chicks have fabulous monochromatic cards for you too.  Be sure to stop bye and see Leanne, Lori and Melissa.

Come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun challenge, can't wait to see what you have for us this week.

Thanks for stopping in and sharing in my creation this week.
