De-Stress wtih 4 Crafty Chicks

Happy, Happy Thursday! Well yesterday day night we had quite the rain storm filled with snow but you know it just really seemed like spring. It really is finally here. The last few days have just been so beautiful.

So here we are for another great challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. What an incredible show of inspiration for the Easter challenge last week *love it*. Our beautiful and talented hostess-with-the-mostess is Lori for Challenge #35.

CHALLENGE #35 is DISTRESSING

Distressing is just so much fun. It is hard to tell in my card but I took my little sander to the second layer of black in the center (what a fabby mess I made). I also used my dauber to distress with pretty in pink on the edges of the whisper white paper. So Mother's Day is going to be coming up soon, so I thought it would be fun to make a mom card. I love this stamp set from Stampin' Up. The design of my card is just plain and simple but hopefully effective. Boy it was frustrating after I took this picture that I realized that my pearls were not on...LOL. How could I have forgotten the bling.

Being a mom can be so hard and is to me one day that I can spoil my mom and make sure she knows how much she is loved. I am grateful to share her with some of my friends who also thinks she is an amazing person.

So today I have so much today for we leave on Saturday to go to Niagria Falls in Ontario. Just when I think I am getting ahead, I fall a bit behind...LOL. Life is never ever boring that is forsure.

Be sure to stop bye and check out Leanne, Lori and Melissa blogs, they have such fantastic work too. Show us your distressing power *wink*.

Thanks so much for stopping bye.

Challenge #56 at PPC!

Hi there crafting peeps! Did you all have a good long Easter weekend? I sure did, it was busy but after some big mixs up's I got some spring cleaning done. Yup, my head is hung in shame since I should have been working in my crafting room getting ahead, but hopefully that will come tomorrow for me. My mom, dad, brother and my nephews came to spend the day with us on Sunday.

Well last week our specialty challenge really hit a sweet spot with all of our crafters and let me tell you...your inspirations was awesome. THANKS FOR JOINING US!

Megan has given us another fantastic color combo at Picture Perfect Creations. We are on Challenge #56 already..*woot, woot*. I made this card while crafting with my fellow DT Lori. It was a great day with many giggles.

My card came together really fast! These colors just seemed to pull the inspiration out of me and again you see no sketch for this week. The stamp I used is from a really great little company called SP and Company, just love this flourish. The scallop punch is from MS and the other window and label punch is from SU. So is the sentiment. This is a clean and simple card, but I think it is effective. Oh and this beautiful picture of my card was taken by Lori...her camera is awesome. Thanks girlie.

My fellow DT's rocked out this color combo...their inspiration is outstanding. Please stop bye and give them some love. Oh and I challenge you on this Monday to come and join us this week...so us what you got!

Happy Monday! For me it is the last day of my kids Easter break so it means laundry should be done and well in my words I need to hit my craftroom. Can't believe the week has went bye so fast (well for the most part...LOL). Have a great day and thanks for stopping bye I really appreciate it.

My Boys and Their Creative Side!

I wanted to show you some of my creative kids work. Below is some graffitti that my middle son did of his name. He did an amazing one for me and when my camera batteries are charged I will be putting it on here. Robin loves to draw and just learn new things that he finds cool. He did one for his dad and me too and I just loved his creative idea's. His initals are in this one. Can't wait to see what he comes up with next. We are so proud of him.

So what do you get when you punish a kid and take his ipod and the computer away for a few days. Well my oldest son Tristan was given this paint by number a few years ago and all of sudden it was out on the table and he was working like a mad man this weekend. In three days he did this 10x13 paint by number (it is his first one). Tristan did an amazing job, we are so proud of him. Now to find a frame to hang it up in his room.

My camera battery died so I couldn't take a picture of Kaitlyn's shirt that she stamped but it is very cute too (will put it up with Robin's other work). My kids crafted more than I did this holidays...LOL.

Hope you enjoy there work as much as we do, but of course we are biased.

Inspiration by the 4 Crafty Chicks!!

Good afternoon! Sorry my post is so late blogger just does not love me today...LOL. Thanks to everyone who played for our crazy egg challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. It was a fun one some really beautiful peices of work. This week our hostess is the lovely, super inspiring Leanne from Banking on Crafts. We are on Challenge #32 and Leanne has picked an amazingly beautiful picture for everyone to find inspiration from. Leanne made two beautiful cards from this picture and they are both different and really very inspiring. Lori from Inkingly Yours has created a simple but elegant Easter card. Melissa from My Paper Obsession created a beautiful card full of flowers. My card is one that I created with the "chicks" and my mom at our stamp club. Tuesday had been a very hard day for me when while talking to my sister I realized I had missed a day and this particular day we were talking was the 25th anniversary of when my dad passed away. To many emotions hit me and the rest of my family this day. So this card is a thinking of you card. It is one that I feel really matched my feelings of thinking about my dad.

This card is my first easel card. The colors are awesome and remind me of the start of spring! I am already wishing for the flowers in this picture.

I hope you really like this card.

Please stop by and join us this week for our latest challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. I look forward to seeing what you create and sharing some love with you.

Please have an amazing day/week.

Guest Designer at Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo's #94

Good Morning to ya!!! Today, is a very exciting day for me. I get a chance to work with a really great bunch of ladies and a chance to be the Guest Designer this week for Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo #94. I am trully honored to be in such great company. Thanks girls for letting me join you this week. It is going to be so much fun checking out everyones blogs *woot, woot*. What a fabby color combo we have this week Basic Grey, Very Vanilla and Pretty in Pink. It took me no time to decide on a stamp to use. It is a new one I won from Totally Stampalicious. She is a girl who just makes you smile. Who doesn't love bling! Well she does :)

So now that I had my stamp picked the only thing missing was the perfect sketch and I know I found it at Crazy 4 Challenges. Silke out did herself with this simple but awesome sketch. Phindy's Place Challenge this week is to make them smile. Well this girl makes me grin, I really hope she makes you smile too.

For this card, I kept it clean and simple. I wanted the girl to stand out. Are you shocked that you see more pattern paper this week. Again no embossing what so ever...LOL. I am really enjoying my new punch from Stampin Up too.

Come out and join us for this fabby color combo! It is sure to inspire some fantastic creations that I just can't wait to see. I see that SP and Company Stamps are having a sale be sure to stop bye and check them out (I am). Thanks again for the wonderful opporunity. It truly has made my week. Have a truly amazing day!

PPC #54 Another FABBY COLOR COMBO!

HAPPY, HAPPY Monday morning!! The weekend just flew bye but it was a good one. I must say that I sure am still trying to recover from my husbands convention (so tired). So this week we are already on Combo #54 at Picture Perfect Creations and Megan has an amazing color combo for us this week. Who would love to work with Basic Black, Melon Mambo, Blushing Bride and Whisper White! You know I wasn't sure about the Blushing Bride but it works into the color combo very nicely. So with this weeks color combo and one of my besties having surgery today these were the perfect cheery colors for a get well soon card.

The sketch I chose is from Stampin 411, now unfortunately I made it from memory and maybe should have looksed at it a little more closely so I hope they don't mind the little changes I made to the sketch. Each week they have sketches that get the creative juices flowing. Paper Sundaes helped me add to my card. Their challenge #63 this week is Spring Blossoms (I just a few on here and I hope you will agree that they add a pop to the card).

So here is my Feel Better Soon Card. The stamps are from Stampin Up and Verve. Everything else on my card is made or punched with Stampin Up.

Today, will be a busy day doing laundry and getting my home clean so that I can go visit my bestie in the hospital. Here is praying for a speedy recovery for her. Today, I just might plan on opening my windows too bring in some spring air and get the winter air out. Come and join us for another fantastic challenge this week. This week my commenting will be better but you will always get a comment from me even if a little late...LOL. It is truly fun to see what everyone creates and where you get some of your inspirations from. Let us at PPC be one of your inspirations. Don't forget to come and join us later this week for the announcing of our new DT's. Have an amazing day and thanks for stopping bye.
