Ice Cream & Pickles

Hello Thursday, how we have missed you! I am struggling to believe that we are on the last Thursday of February.  As my daughter pointed out to me, they only have 4 months left of school.  Boy was I in a little bit of shock but you know Kaitlyn is right.  We had our usual running around but I was able to visit with a friend while waiting for my daughter to finish swimming, twice last week. On the weekend however, I had a few surprises my nephew and brother came for a visit, so did my friend Lori and her daughter.  The younger girls did some baking and oh was it ever fabulous.  The wee bit older girls *wink* went shopping and well of course that included a stop to the craft store, good coffee, and most of all fabulous company equaled one fun filled weekend.

Each Thursday, I look forward to revealing the challenge and my DT creation for 4 Crafty Chicks.  We are on Challenge #131 and our fantastic hostess is Lori.  She has another awesome challenge for us.  Lori is asking us to do some stitching - real or faux.

When we went to the craft store we bought a few new stamps and this is one of them. It is from Saturated Canary - Ice Cream & Pickles, isn't she cute? Boy was it ever a ton of fun coloring her.  I originally bought a little hand held sewing machine.  Broke it out for this challenge but neither myself or Lori could figure out how to get it to sew in a straight line. It would only go in a circle, obviously it was the person running it...LOL.  Needless to say my mom will be getting a call to please, please help me....LOL.  Here is my creation with my Faux stitching, new stamp and new pattern papers. Don't you just love 6X6 paper pads.  Hope you like this one as much as I do.  Thanks Lori for coloring with me, not to mention the shopping.

I would like to share my card with the everyone over at Make It Monday #129- Anything Goes

Be sure to stop by 4 Crafty Chicks and show us what stitching inspires in you. I would love to come over to your blog and see your wonderful creation.

Thank you so much for sharing my creation with me.

Thought this was perfect for this week challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Playing with Twine!

Hello...Thursday! Sometimes, I think Thursday gets the worst rap for the days of the week but really it shouldn't.  It is the closest day of the week to Friday, it is also the day that 4 Crafty Chicks have a new challenge.  We are on the 3rd week of February and you know what that means...it is my week to be hostess.

We are on Challenge # 130 over at 4 Crafty Chicks and well I hope this is an easy one for you.  Twine.  It has been so much fun digging into the twine and I even got some for Christmas.  It is hard to tell but my twine is white and early espresso, so is the button. It is wrapped around the layer 8 times. The bright colors were so much fun last week that I broke them out for this week too. Everything except for the pattern paper is from Stampin Up.  This congratulations stamp is one of my favorites.

I would love to enter my card into the following fun filled challenges :) : Make It Monday -Challenge #128-Anything Goes, Challenges 4 Everbody - Challenge #14 -Anything Goes, Penny's Paper Craft's - Challenge #115- Anything Goes

Thought this is cute and could definitely apply to me...LOL.  I think we are all Limited Editions.

Thank you so much for stopping in and taking a peek at my hand made card. Also thank you to everyone who leaves a comment for me, I truly love them :)

Happy Birthday!

Good Day and Happy Valentines Day! Just when I think being ahead of the game is great....then I forget to change my blog post from draft to scheduled.  So sorry girls that my post is late.  Do you do anything special for Valentines day?  We make heart shape pizza's to go with all of the kids sizes.  Pretty soon we will only need to make 2 large homemade heart shape pizza.

This week over at 4 Crafty Chicks we are on challenge #129.  Our beautiful hostess is Melissa and she is changing it up a bit with this fabulous sketch below.  Over at 4 Crafty Chicks our Guest Designer Valou, Leanne, Lori and Melissa have some amazing inspiration for you.

Here is my clean and simple card for this sketch.  The paper is Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler and Whisper white.  The pattern paper is either Lime Twist or MME (sorry not too sure).  The stamp is from Stampin Up.  These colors sure do have me dreaming about spring...only a few months away now...yahooo :)  This sketch is definitely on that is going to be worked up often.

I would love to enter this card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes and Challenges 4 Everybody - Anything Goes.

Can't wait to see what amazing creation you all share with us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week.  Last week was AMAZING (singing this)!!

Have an amazing week and thanks for sharing my card with me!!

4 Crafty Chicks Challenge # 128

Good Morning! Well what an exciting night my mom, husband and I had.  We got a chance to enjoy Tristan's basketball game.  The boys played hard and won their game 61-35.  It is sure nice watching the game with family.  Yesterday was filled with some meetings and they went well too.  So let's bring on today because I just know it is going to be a gooder :)

We are on Challenge #128 at 4 Crafty Chicks and our lovely hostess again this week is our one and only Leanne! She totally has another fun challenge lined up for you all.  Would you like to know what it is?  Leanne has challenged us all to use Pink and Red on our creations.  I was so thankful to her for this challenge because Valentines is coming super fast and there were cards that needed to be done.  Thanks Leanne :)

Here is DT card and everything that I used on it except my pearls are from Stampin Up! I apologize for not knowing the names of all of my Stampin Up products.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. My hearts came from a die cut that my mom was nice enough to let me borrow.  I love the quilted look of the embossing folder.  The texture on this card just has me giddy.

I would like to enter my card over Stampin' Royalty but was excited to see that there challenge #162 is Valentines/Love. ABC is having a challenge called G for Going Dotty my Dots are on my 3 hearts.

We would love to see what you create with the challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks this week.  Don't forget to hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks my fellow DT will be sure to give you inspiration!
