Girls Just Want To Have Fun!!

As I type up my post tonight, I am overwhelmed with feelings and I must add quite a few tears. On Friday night is the first part of our oldest sons Graduation from grade 12.  Time really has flown by so fast from a baby to an adult in no time.  We are very proud of him and the young man he has become.

Over at 4 Crafty Chicks we have a brand new challenge for you.  Our wonderful hostess is Lori. For Challenge #248 she would like us to create something that reminds us of SUMMER. My card above is made mostly of pattern paper from doodlebug.  I am going to be so sad when this paper is gone, I just love, love, love it :) Nothing like a nice cold popsicle on an beautiful summer's day!  I remember several of my friends from Junior High singing Girls just Want To Have Fun by Cindi Lauper. Summer holidays were always the best, enjoy the taste of fresh fruit, sun, sand, water and friends.

Come on join us for basically Summer in May, how does it inspire you? I look forward to seeing what you have to share with us at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Sharing in you Sorrow

Hi! Welcome back to my blog.  I have a brand new DT creation to show you. It is my lucky week to give you a challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks as a hostess.  The type of creation I am asking you to make for Challenge #247 is something to do With Sympathy.

My card above is made with Early Espresso paper and old olive as well as both of those Stampin Up markers and old olive ink.  I took the time to emboss a piece of paper with Darcies Clouds embossing folder, then fussy cut them out.  I used a banner punch, old olive ribbon and the stamp is from Stampin Up Thoughts & Prayers.

My fellow chicks have some amazing creations to show you for this challenge. These items are very hard for me to make as I know it is a challenge for others. I look forward to seeing how everyone inspires us chicks this week.

Thanks for stopping by
Have an amazingly wonderful day!

Acorn Harvest!

Good Morning! It is so hard to believe that it is already May 14.  The time is flying by and well our weather is keeping us on our toes. I am very happy that we have had some sun the last few days and each day there is wind.  Sometimes it is cold others it is warm. Some exciting news our daughter so far has made the track team for shot put and discus.  She has a few more things to try out for so we will be waiting to here.  Onto why you are here.

It is my pleasure to show you my new DT card for Creative Knockouts.  For Challenge #89 we are asking you to use Washi Tape.  This is the first time I have used it have quite a bit of it but Kelly gave me the challenge of using it. White and yellow stripes and another color. The picture below I think shows the washi tape better with the flash but not the image.

Our sponsor is Sami Stamps and they graciously let me use Acorn Harvest. It was a blast to color her up and give her to her friend for her birthday. Thank you so much!

Prize is a $12 Gift Certificate
Please come join us for our brand new challenge over at Creative Knockouts.  My fellow DT's have fantastic inspiration. We would love to see how you use Washi Tape.

Thank you so much for taking a peek at my new card.

Amazing, Incredible One Who Does It All!

Today is Thursday and do you know what that means? It is time for another 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge. Tina has a super fun challenge for us are you ready for it? On Challenge #246 us Chevrons.

Well this challenge was super perfect because I had just bought Chevron paper from My Minds Eye and then I ran to my Cuttlebug and broke out my Chevron embossing folder. It is a clean and simple design and the sketch I found on Pintrest but apologize for not writing down the person who made the sketch. The stamp is from Stampin Up Messages For Mom. A corner punch was used and scissors to make the tail. The paper used is basic black and certainly celery.

Please join us for this fun and simple challenge of Chevrons. I look forward for looking at your wonderful works of art.

Thank you for popping in and looking at my card.
Have an amazing day!

Hello! Are you ready for another fabby challenge over at Crafts Galore Encore? Our wonderful sponsor for this month is from Oak Creations Digital Illustrations Studio.  They were kind enough to let me use King of Courage Digi for my newest DT creation. Our Challenge for the Month of May is Anything Goes

Prize: 3 Digi's of Winner's Choice

Courage in the crown on the lion reminded me of someone who is battling cancer, a disease, an injury etc.  Everyone has to have courage to make it through and fight for what they want to see for their future.  I colored the image with Copic Markers; YR21, YR23, YR24, YR30, Y26, Y28, R20, 0. Pearls have been used and Bo Bunny paper, more mustard, early espresso and a stamp from Verve.
