Christmas Cards Group #2

Hi everyone. I hope you had a good last few days. Mine have been good.

The three cards on this blog my mom made for me. She gave me two of each card. I will be sending them out as christmas cards this year. She is an amazing mom, knowing I was feeling down about not going crafting and well just having one of those days, so she made me these cards to cheer me up. They did. My mom is a very crafty lady and she is my hero.

I am struggling with my camera, it is not taking good pictures lately. I was unable to get a nice picture of my pumpkins, so that is why they didn't make it on here. I look forward too next year. Does anyone have a type of camera that they like...I am looking for a new one. I am open to suggestion...please. I would like a really good one so that I can get my craft items and other things on here faster. Please drop me a line. I would love the help.

To my crafting pals, I hope you are excited for christmas too. I am starting a new cross stitch as a christmas present. Can't wait to post it on here. I really need to hurry though because December is coming in a hurry.

Other crafts I have been working on are my tiger cross stitch and my afghan. Pictures to be posted soon.

A Frightful Sight...!!!!

A Frightful Sight!!!!!
The kids were ready to go...trick or treating. It was a beautiful night no snow or rain and very warm. The kids had a blast going from house to house, oh and the candy...wow. The six of them are very good friends. It was the most relaxing and fun night that I have had in years. What a blast. Hope you all had a fanastic halloween. I will try to get pictures of our pumpkins on right away.

So the next day my girlfriend Lori and I went to the grocery store...and what did we hear.....can you guess? I think it will suprise you. On Nov. 1, we came home with this song in our head...grandma got run over by a rein deer. For 10 mins. of shopping we listen to christmas music.....it was a surprise...Halloween did not last long...LOL.

I am wishing you all a fun night of "Trick or Treats." This is a change for us. Usually we go with another family member, but tonight we are breaking the mold and letting the kids go with there friends. I think it is going to be a great night. I don't have any pictures yet, but there is a vampire, vampire princess a witch, an elf from Lord of the Rings, and a guy with swords and daggers and one other one. It should be a fanastic night. Here is the up date. I should have some more pictures of cards posted on here for tomorrow. Have super dooper halloween.

Christmas Cards Group #1

Hi everyone,

I am posting the first set of my cards that will go out for christmas this year. I tend to make a lot of different ones. I just love christmas cards.

These three cards were made at a Stamp A Stack 3 different cards, 4 of each. I love each one of them, although I really like everything that Lori makes.

A Big thanks goes out to my MOM for helping me with these. I love you tons. At these class their is always a ton of laughter and great bonding.

I'M BACK and with some cards

Hi everyone,

It has been way to long since I have crafted any cards and posted on here. I hope you all had a good summer, back to school and a very good Thanksgiving. For those whose Thanksgiving is coming up next month...I am wishing you a good one too. Unfortunately, crafting has taken a back seat these last few months, but my mom, Lori and Leanne convinced me to come and make cards. What a blast...so because of them I am back and ready to create.

I will say sorry right off, because taking these pictures were hard to take...the camera worker....which is me...LOL. Doesn't seem to be able to take a clear picture of three of these cards...LOL. Hoping you can see them and like them as much as I do.


It was my mom's month at her card club.
The scarecrow card was just one of two cards she designed to share with the ladies. I love it. Everyone, colored and dobbed whatever they wanted too. Mom used her peircer and I foe poked with a felt. I would do it with a chocolate chip color next time not a carmel. The other inside was whest with pumpkins.

This card was so cute, Leanne and Kim made this one. What an excellent idea for christmas, easter, halloween, Birthday parties...etc. Very easy to make. I loved it.

Lori made this card and it is beautiful. It is two step stamping and just wonderful. I love the colors and is just a great anytime card.

I would like to thank everyone, I was fortunate to craft with on Sunday. Saturday I was lucky enough to cross stitch...so this weekend was filled with crafting.





Crafting relaxes me and comforts me and I forgot what it was like so thanks to everyone who has reminded me, that it is good to laugh, love and learn through crafting. Crafters are truly wonderful people.

I have missed you all, but I am back now, so I am wishing you a wonderful day filled with love, laughter and just the joy of being here. Remember to share a smile with someone it just might make there day.

Summer Fun

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all having a great summer. My family and I already have had some ups and downs but it is getting better all of the time. I lost an uncle and my husband ended up in the hospital. For this reason there has not been any cards posted. I do have a sympathy card I will post when I get back home. We are now enjoying a great vacation out by the ocean. It has been just beautiful.

Lottie and Gussie Gabalot....

What can I say....these two girls are so cute. Today, was a day of firsts Bella stamps and Spellbinders. I had so much fun...the stamps are super wonderful for people like me who love to color. I was at Lori's and we wanted to do something crafty before I had to go home. So I picked these little beauties. Today, with thanks to Lori, we opened her new in colors for stampin' up. I must say I just LOVE THEM!!! The felts were amazing to, it is a nice added touch to the paper. Lori made a amazing card with Bella stamps too! Check out her blog HERE.

My card started with a picture that I had in my head for a few weeks now, it changed a little bit, because I still don't always cut well...LOL! I used star dust stickles and they are nice although I got one big one on their when it came out in a big clump:) I was not sure how to fix it so I left it. Maybe I should have left them off..oh well, next time.

It took me a little longer to put it on here due to soccer practice and phones calls. I get to have my nephew come and stay with me...what a super summer gift.

Hi once again. I had some fun last night. I cased some cards that my mom had made from some Simply Scrappin sets, that were given to me and my mom from our crafting pal Lori :). With my moms idea's I was able to copy a few. Thanks mom and Lori, your crafting genius really helped me last night when I didn't want to think to hard. The first two cards on here are my mom's and the last two are mine. I could't have done it with out both of you:).

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there. We had a fanastic day with my husband. The kids made some really great presents. On Saturday my daughter Kaitlyn went to a birthday party. The craft they made was this father's day card or the kids could stamp it as a birthday card. It is such a cute card that I am going to case it I think. It has a fake leather look to it. The designer paper my daughter riped the wrong way, but it still looks great. It should have been ripped more on an angle towards the brads (it was her first time ripping paper...yahoo!). Lisa had a fanastic idea and I just love the card. Thanks Lisa and Kaitlyn for your talented work and Rob really loved it.

Friendship....

Hi, everyone I hope that you are having a fanastic Monday!

After some encouragement, I decided to listen to my very good friend Lori and get myself downstairs to stamp. The result is this card. Thank you so much Lori.

I am going to try to put an item of crafting on here at least once a week, and hopefully more. Life is really busy right now with my kids so please be patient with me.

I thought I would make something with two different kinds of pink paper, chocolate chip and whisper white (all SU)

Pink and chocolate chip buttons.

The ink is chocolate chip (SU) and

Both stamp sets are SU. I colored the flower stamp with Soft Subtle markers (SU) to give me the different colors for the flowers and leaves.

I also used my cuttle bug (Swiss dots) and turned the paper backwards to give it a hole punched look.

Happy Anniversary !!!

Hi everyone it sure has been a while. What have I been up too...well....I have started coaching soccer and my husband and I went out to Halifax, Nova Scotia for 9 days. My wonderful mom and dad took time out of their lives to watch our kids. Thank you so much for that. I have also had the chance to watch my neice play in Nationals for volleyball. Life has been very busy with many up's and down's so not much crafting has been done, oh man how I miss it. Sometimes you tend to forget how it relaxes you, well it does me anyway.

Today however is very special. :) It is my 13th wedding anniversary with my darling husband who I love very much. We have been together 18 years today too! I thought my hubby needed something special from me so here it is for you to see too.

Crestomere Stampin' Up Club....cards we made :)

Can you say crafting, laughing...what a blast. I had a great day yesterday with all of the club members from last year. I enjoyed a wonderful drive with my mom and then met up with good friends to craft. I loved everything we made yesterday.

This particular stamp on the card below, I can honestly say I didn't like it before I used it...but now I love it. I would love to try this card again, and press harder on the white crayon, to make the white lines more bold. It looks like it should be hard but it is so simple, and elegant. I also love the saying...it is so true. Live without regret.

This is a wonderful Mother's Day card. It was really cool using the Big Shot. It is another simply yet elegant card.

Card #3 is a Gift Certificate or Money Holder. It would make a perfect card for birthdays and christmas, thank you....anything really. This one was punches and using a Scor Pal. Another great card. I need more practice using a scor pal, but I have now put it on my wish list.

The monthly card which is done by a club member each month was done by Cari. It is an invitation card. We used the Cuttlebug and Stampin' Up plates from the Big Shot. My wish list is growing bigger now that I know that this stuff really works in my Cuddle Bug.

Thanks so much for such a wonderful day girls! I miss you but really enjoy the visits.

A Little Tinker Bell!

Good evening everyone! I hope that everyone had a good Easter Holidays. We sure did and now my kids are back to school tomorrow.

Today, I was lucky enough to join my mom for her monthly Stampin' UP club that she goes too out at Crestomere School. It was a blast as always. It is a place where there are not stop laughs, and just wonderful people to be around. When they were working on there Calendar page, I pulled out a one page layout that my crafting friend Lori gave me for my birthday. It was a really easy layout and took no time. The only thing I have left to do is use pop up dots on the butterflies. I used Diamond stickles on them and they are currently drying. I LOVE IT!!! :). Cute, Cute, Cute. I still have some paper left for other projects and some stickers too. You gotta love packages that give you left overs. Yahoooooo!

I was lucky enough to make some fanastic cards too today. I hope to put them on tomorrow for you.

Egg-tra Fun....

Happy Easter to all of the bloggers out there. Tonight my family Rob, Tristan, Robin, Kaitlyn and myself decided we needed to do our annual tradition of decorating eggs. We usually do more but this year we are having Easter with just our family. It will be different, but fun I just know it.

To decorate our eggs we used hard boiled eggs, food coloring, vinegar and crayons. It was so much fun. The one I made is in the front row and has a flower on it. I did the coloring with a pointed stick, that way I could color each part the color I wanted. What you can't see is that there is a pot at the bottom of the flower. My camera was not working great tonight, so this is the only picture that turned out.

Life Has Been Busy!

Hi Everyone!

Wow these last couple of weeks sure have been busy. I have been away at a AGM Conference with my husband. I have also helped plan a baby shower for one of my friends. It has been a little crazy.

We had a birthday party for my son. I was sick, so it made things a little interesting...LOL. My very good friend Lori came to see me on Tuesday with her kids. It was an amazing day and my birthday present was awesome. Please watch in the next couple of days. I hope to get another scrapbook page done (from a kit that I was given for my birthday) and hopefully a card too.

When in Calgary, I was able to see my uncle who is dying of a brain tumor. He lives in a hospice and it touched my heart and soul, that he can still play the music he loves with not to much trouble. He makes everyone smile and that is how I have always wanted to live my life. What a true blessing he is.

Now something I can tell you is I have done no crafting but I have finished reading Firefly Lane by Kristin Hannah. I am almost done reading Perfect Match by Jodi Picoult. If anyone has a comment about any of these books please leave them. I love to read and talk about them too.

I will be back with something new and crafty so keep an eye out. I hope life has been kind to all of you lately and I will see you soon.
