An Eyelet Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks

Can you believe another Thursday has come so fast. It is good to be back from my vacation, well at least from crafting. I might need a vacation from some of the other stuff that has popped up since we have come back....(LOL). Florida is an amazing place and we were lucky to have a rockin time with the Turner family. There was tons of walking, laughing and going through many firsts together and overall just making some really fun memories. We came home to snow and it hasn't stopped yet *yuck*.

First off thank you so much to everyone who played in my sketch challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks last week. I will be around to comment on all of them very soon. Also a huge thank you to Leanne and Melissa for holding down the fort for us while we were gone. I really appreciate it and as always you two were amazing.
Can you believe we are on Challenge #30 at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and our hostess-with-the-mostess this week is our beautiful Lori! Man did she give us a good challenge. Her challenge for us is to use EYELETS.
Well let me tell you mine have been collecting dust for a very long time. Seriously I can't remember the last time I used them...LOL. Yesterday, I was stressing, yep I sure was. Why? Well a year or so ago I got my Big Bite II for christmas. Opened it up and used it a few times and then pushed it back in the corner (basically because I didn't know how to use it, because I thought it came with no instructions in reality, they went in the garabe by accident). So trying to use it on my card was not working well, the search was on for my old eyelet tools. Well the little end bits were found but not the main piece. Tears started forming, how was I to do a card that I couldn't put the eyelets in. So as the panic was setting in I thought of my computer gru Lori...what would Lori do? She would use Google. So that is what happened and a wonderful Video popped up on uTube and wola it was time to finish my card. Thank goodness for all of you crafters who put videos on the net. So when you see my card it is not perfect my line and spaces are not the same and some of my holes are not in a straight line. Sorry about that.
To compleminet the eyelet challenge this week I chose the colors from Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo (they were fun) and the sketch was a pretty clean and simple one by Techno Stamper. I added texture to my card to go with the embossing challenge from Paper Sundaes and the paper piercing on my card is for the Totally Stampalicious challenge this week.

Here is my card! I hope you like the general look of it minus the not straight line and spaces. The butterfly is yellow because I miss the sun and spring would be really nice to see.

Well I hope you like our new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks this week. It will be so much fun to join you at your blog to see your creations. Don't forget to check out Leanne, Lori and Melissa their links are on my right side bar.
Wishing you the best Thrusday and a super great week ahead. Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card with me.

  1. This is SO cute, I had forgotten how truly cute eyelets can be. Don't be surprised if I pop up in the challenge, because I have to dig out my eyelets!

  4. Nicely done Tamie, and I use my cropadile lots, but only for hole making. Crazy, but I love these eyelets, maybe it should be a challenge to use them more often. I actually like your cards eyelets off a bit, it makes it look like a wave. Very nicely done, and nice stand you have for your cards....Get it at the same place as Lori? They look the same. Very nicely done, and thanks for joining the SPCC color challenge. TFS!
