Happy Fall Y'all

It sure is starting to feel a lot like fall now. We never turn our furnace on until the middle or end of October but we broke down the other day and turned it on. It has been chilly and cloudy here the last few days with rain.  I won't complain because the air smells wonderful and we really could use the rain. Unfortunately once again it is at the wrong time as the farmers are trying to get their crops harvested.

Kelly has a brand new challenge for us over at Creative Knockouts. Celebrate with a Bang!!!

Hello! I have my post ready to go this week and on time...Hee hee. Another crazy week here in the Camp house hold. Just like everyone else. Let Volleyball begin :)  September flying by the month is half over...wait a minute didn't it just start.  

A funny story for you.  I have my very first cell phone, I know it is a terrible shock for everyone who knows me (giggle, giggle, snort).  Well I was driving with my middle son to his school orientation and we used the maps app to get there (Edmonton).  He asked me if I could tell where we should turn.  I said no this stupid thing isn't working, I started it and everything (in fairness I did). There was no voice, like on my husbands or Tristan's phone telling me turn right in 300, 250, 30 meters etc.  Well apparently the part I turned on was only showing us what direction we were travelling in. After a few trials of no I you need to turn there and Robin saying where is there (my brain could not for the life of it think to say move over to the left lane, all I could say was there...hee hee)(brain fart #40). I was pointing but apparently that wasn't enough.  He gets the app working at the stop light and we get to where we are going.  He starts laughing and says. "Mom do you remember when we were younger and we used to say something was over there.  You would get frustrated because you didn't know where over there was, well I just experienced it. Where actually is there?" We laughed so hard. Hopefully this makes sense.  I tend to confuse everyone since the accident, so forgive me if my rambling doesn't make sense.

Happy Birthday!

So sorry for the extreme lateness of my post.  My mom informed me that I didn't have my card posted today.  It has been a crazy time here with me having a bleed in my left eye and my hubby has not been good healthwise. Lot's of appointments.

It was blessing to create this card with my mom. We don't get to craft together much, so the time spent together was with a grateful heart.  She was coloring learning how to use my copic markers.

Guest Designer Call and Fall Challenge

Hello!!! I hope this 1st Thursday is going well. Last night I have discovered that I have definitely lost my crafting mind. Thinking I have not completed a project to only notice when I go to post it that I have already done this weeks challenge.  For another one, I colored an image three weeks in advance and then realized that I wasn't coloring the right image when I looked up what the challenge was.  So it might be the first day of school for my daughter but my brain needs a break....LOL.

Our hostess with the mostess is our one and only talented Leanne.  Her challenge for us is to create something to do with Fall for Challenge #262.  We are also holding a Guest Designer call for the months of October, November and December.  If you would like to join our team for one of these months please added GDT behind your name.  The Chicks would love to have you.

My image was colored on a weekend away with two of my chicks. It was so nice to laugh, color and just enjoy one another.  The paper is from Stampin Up and the flowers, leaves were from my long forgotten stash.

Good, Good Morning! Today is the first day of back to school for our daughter and our son.  The summer has flown by so fast. It has been tons of running getting ready for school. Call me crazy I am not quite ready for it but I think getting back on a schedule would be great for me.

Unusually Colored Hair

Good morning! The last couple of days have been warm but oh man have they been smoky.  My thoughts and prayers are with everyone fighting the wild fires and those that have been moved from their homes.

This past week has flown by but I am here with my newest DT creation for 4 Crafty Chicks. Our beautiful hostess this week is Lori and for Challenge #261 she wants you to do something with Unusually Colored Hair.

So with my above card, I got a little crazy and colored the Donkey's hair pink.  It was so much fun...what would you do if you actually saw a donkey's hair died pink.  Maybe I can start a trend *laughing so hard*. Pretty clean and simple but I was super happy to break out my flowers. Tying the knots in the ribbon I haven't done in a long time. Had to dig deep into the memory bank.  My image is from Your Next Stamp and so is the sentiment.

You Da Bomb

Hello all! Today is Thursday and I am back with my first post of the day for 4 Crafty Chicks! Today, I am your hostess with the mostess and for Challenge #260, I want you to DISTRESS your creations.

My image up top is this cute little bomb and the sentiment are both from Your Next Stamp.  The image is colored with Copics and the sentiment ink is Memento Tuxedo black. This little bomb was colored while enjoying Lori and Leanne's company, it was so much fun.

It is hard to believe that school is just around the corner for us.  The weather has been amazing and honestly really nice. Some how once again, I have not been able to hang with my friends but the time with my family has been a blessing too.

Good morning! It is another glorious summer day here in Millet, Alberta.  The weather has been very hot this week. I am looking forward to seeing our daughter as it is her first time away at camp.

Today is Thursday and you know what that means....a brand new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks. Our wonderful hostess with the mostess today is our one and only Tina.  For Challenge #259 she would like to see the Nautical Theme.

My card above it made out of pattern paper my mom gave me at Christmas time. It is super cool. Leanne had given me this really cool anchor but for the life of me I couldn't find it.  So I took an sentiment from an old stampin up set and fussy cut the octopus and the whale. The twine is what I thought could be like rope on a boat. Another clean and simple card from me.

Baby On Board

Hi all! Boy we have been having some strange weather. I didn't think it was hot enough today to have a thunder/hail storm but we had one anyway.  We need the rain but a little softer would be nice.  Towards the south of us by more than 2 hours, they had flash floods, hail and tornado in some parts.  My thoughts are with them.

Sorry my above picture is not too clear today.  It was taken with my ipad, I think too late at night and not at the right angle.

I was lucky to use this image from A Random Fan and it is called a Baby on Board, they are offering up 3 digis this week..  It is super cute and over at Creative Knockouts for Challenge #101 we would like you to make something to do with Friendship.  My image today was colored with copics and my friend Leanne challenged me to do blue hair.  I think I have lots of work to do...LOL.

I am super excited to share my newest Design Team creation with you for 4 Crafty Chicks. It is still hard for me to believe that we are already into the first week of August.

Planner Day!!

As I type this up it is cool outside but still beautiful.  It is going to be another hot one like yesterday. Last night there was some amazing lighting to see as a storm rolled through but we do need the rain and it did cool things off so we could have a good sleep.  We are having a long weekend here and we are still deciding what to do, nothing like last minute decisions (wink).

Today we have a brand new challenge over at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends.  It is "ANYTHING GOES". The sponsor I get to work with is Faery Ink and they were gracious to let me use Planner Day . It was super fun to color up.  In coloring her hair, a new technique was tried but just didn't sit well with me. So it was colored over with a hint of color coming through the brown. I will try the technique with the right color combo next time.  I colored this image up with Copic markers. Another clean and simple creation with of course my usual texture.

Good Morning fellow crafting peeps.  I am having a pretty good summer so far but man summer is flying by so fast.  Can you believe we are on the last week of July.

We have the easiest kind of Challenge this week over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  It is an ANYTHING GOES because there is 5 Thrusdays this month. So that also  mean we get to pick a Crazy Egg Winner to get there own special badge.

It was fun to break out the punch and dies. I used Tangerine Tango to stamp this fun sentiment which I am sorry, not sure which stamp company it is from.

Celebrate this Life

Happy 4 Crafty Chicks Thursday where we have a brand new challenge this week.  Our wonderful hostess this week is Lori.  It is that time of year that we all enjoy a trip to the beach, if we are lucky the ocean and playing in the sand in beautifully sunny weather. Lori is challenging us to SUN, SEA AND SAND for CHALLENGE #256.

The card you are looking at was colored all with copic markers and a black pen for the birds.  It is the first time that I have tried to do a scene.  A masking technique was used to create a back ground. The stamp is from Stampin Up. With the help from Leanne she walked me thru it.  The sentiment is from a Verve stamp set.
