Dynmaic Duos meets Seize the Sketch

Happy Sunday!  I am shocking myself by actually sitting down and playing a couple of challenges since I missed World Card Making Day.  Today, my daughter and I crafted, unfortunately, I waited so long before getting down to crafting business that she didn't make a full, card.  Kaitlyn did however color a few images that are awesome. Thanks for crafting with me.

So today, as I went searching for some challenges for us to do, stopped by Dynamic Duos to see what their color combo was for this week.  It is a very lovely combination and really not one I would have put together before.  After finding the color, I saw that Seize the Sketch has a new sketch (saw this by checking our my friend Lori's blog) and thought it I could do that.
This is what these two challenges inspired in me.  It started with going out of the box and doing a Christmas card with these colors and well who doesn't love a little bit of bling and texture.
Recipe:
Stamps: Delightful Decorations and Four The Holidays....Stampin Up
Paper: Cajun Craze, Island Indigo and Whisper White
Ink: Island Indigo
Accessories: Dimensionals, embossing folder, paper piercer, pearls, Martha Stewart punch and ornament punch (Stampin Up).

Be sure to hop on over and check out these challenges.  The DT's have some fabby inspiratio for you.

Thanks for stoppin by and sharing my fun card with me :)

A Fall Thank You

Good Morning! We had snow yesterday morning...yeeek! I had to look twice when I saw the white stuff falling from the sky and then still sitting on my BBQ.  On a sports note my daughter had her first 9 volleyball games, our middle son had a blast at Tae-Kwon-Do, our oldest son Volleyball team won their second gold in tournament play.  We have all been getting over this nasty cold/allergies too.  So two of my kids have already missed some school :(  On a crafty note I got to craft with my daughter this weekend and cross stitch with a friend.  So all in all not a bad week.

Over at 4 Crafty Chicks we had an outstanding turnout last week for our bingo challenge and the creations were simply stunning.  I truly was in awe of each creation.  This week we are welcoming two Guest Designers for the Month of October Divya and Bettina.  Please give them a warm welcome! I know we are excited to be working with them this month.

Our talented hostess with the mostess this week is Leanne from Banking on Crafts.  Her Challenge for us is to use Fall.
Challenge #162 - Fall
When I think of Fall I think of a nice cup of Hot Chocolate and sometimes even some Baileys added to it, sitting under a blanket with a good book. Even better than that is being with friends, laughing and crafting :)
.
Recipe:
Stamps - Verve and Whiff of Joy Willow & Oakley Collection
Ink: memento Tuxedo Black, Early Esspresso
Paper: Acorn Hollow (Little Yellow Bicycle), Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango?
Accessories: Pop Ups, pearls, siccsors, copics and stampin up markers, stampin up punch.

I would like to enter my card into Make It Monday - #160 - Anything Goes and Papertake Weekly Challenge- anything goes, One Crazy Stamper - October Thankful/Autumn Challenge

If you like Fall too and would love to show us what it inspires in you then please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.  I look forward to being able to hop on over to your blog and share some love.  Look for more inspiration from Bonnie, Leanne and Lori...you won't be disappointed.

Thank you so much for popping in.

My first Bingo Challenge!

Happy Thursday all! I am excited to be sharing another 4 Crafty Chicks challenge with you.  We are on challenge #161 and our beautiful hostess is none other than Lori.  The Challenge she is offering up for us to do is a first at 4 Crafty Chicks.  It is a fantabulous challenge.

Challenge #161 - Bingo
You can go vertical, diagional and across! Whatever grouping inspires you but please let us know what row you decided to use for the Bingo :)
I chose to use the middle row for my bingo, ribbon, sentiment and brads.  I am currently working on Christmas cards for my husbands board members.  Each board member receives a different card.  So this is my second Christmas card of the season.  The paper is perfect plum, whisper white and sky (??); ink is perfect plum, whisper white ribbon, martha stewart snowflake punch, stampin up word window punch and label punch (??), the embossing folders are also from stampin up.
The paper is not my usual Christmas paper so I truly stepped out of my box on this one...hee hee.

Being as One Crazy Stampers Challenge Blog this month is Christmas, I would like to enter my card into their challenge.  This card will also be entered into Anything Goes over at Make It Monday.

If you are ready to see some more inspiration then please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks to see what Bonnie, Leanne and Lori have created.  We would love to see what this bingo has inspired in you.  Can't wait to visit your blog.

Thank for stopping by and sharing my card with me.  Here is a smile coming your way.

New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks and an Announcement!

Good Morning! We have had another busy week! We had some family excitement, our oldest sons volleyball team won gold at a tournament, my daughter made the junior volleyball team (she is in grade 6), our middle son is learning to do all of these different types of push ups.  He is trying to do at least 300 a day...can you say *OY*.  We are so proud of them all. The weather has been just amazing but then it dropped yesterday by about 10-14 degrees (brrrr). My mom has been sick and we are hoping she continues to feel better.  Enough of my blabbing and onto the real important stuff.

Onto 4 Crafty Chicks news we are so excited to announce that we have a brand new Chick! She has stunning creations, a wonderful sense of humor and one fabulous blog.  We are so excited to have her with us! Her name is Bonnie Sharp and her blog is are your ready?  It is called The Lucky Clucker.....it sure fits right in with our hen house! We would love it if you would give her a big welcome.  We are super stoked about working with her.

I am the hostess this week over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  In a blink of an eye we are on Challenge #160, please use a balloon or multiple balloons on your creations.

My card below was for my brother-in-laws 40th birthday! My husband picked out the stamp and asked me to make it for him.  I colored it with copics, used two embossing folders, paper (cherry cobbler, whisper white and blue), cherry cobbler twine and 3 punches (two tags and a scallop punch) from stampin up, and the stamp is from totally stampalicious (love these stamps).

What do balloons inspire in you? We would have to see your creation and if you want to see some awesome cards done by Bonnie, Leanne and Lori then please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks!

Until next time, please have an amazing day and thanks for stopping in!

4 Crafty Chicks meets One Crazy Stamper

Hello! We are having a heat wave here today and can you believe we are on the 12th day of September and it is like summer! Bring it on baby :) I will enjoy any amount of sun I can get :)

It is time for another challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks! Our hostess this week is Melissa and she would like us to be creative with the sketch she has made for us.  Melissa has decided to pursue some other endeavors both creatively and personally, so this is her last challenge with us. Good luck!

CHALLENGE #158 - Sketch

When I saw this sketch...the first idea that came to mind was to do a Christmas card! It is a clean and simple sketch but you could dress it up or dress it down, what ever you would like to do. Great sketch Melissa.  My stamp set is Warmest Regards and Contempo Christmas from Stampin Up, the punch, paper embossing folder and dimensional are also from Stampin Up.  The pattern paper and green paper is from Holley Jolly Christmas Echo Park. Super excited to have my very first Christmas card done :)
This week I did a real fun blog hop over at One Crazy Stampers Challenge Blog and was excited to see their Challenge for the month of September is Christmas....well wouldn't you know my card is a Christmas one.

We would love it if you would hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and join us for our fun sketch challenge.  The girls have some rockin inspiration for you.  I love coming to see your work and getting to know you! Can't wait to see what this inspires in you.

Lace and 4 Crafty Chicks Looking for Guest Designers!

Good Morning! The first week of school has been a busy but fun one.  Tristan our oldest made the senior boys high school volleyball team and they are having their first tournament this weekend.  Robin and Kaitlyn both start gymnastics and Ta-Kwon-Do next week.  We are all trying to adjust to having a routine again.  How has your first week back at school been? Did you do any registrations to sign your kids up for an activity or yourself even?

We are are looking for Guest Designers for the months of October, November and December over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  If you would like to be one please play along with our challenge and put GDT behind your name.  Our lovely hostess is Leanne and well I love the challenge she has for us this week.  We are on Challenge #158 and she would love to see some Lace on your creations.

When blog hopping, I have seen so many people do all white cards! How do they do it....I struggled for hours to make my cousins wedding card. Granted I had spellbinders that wouldn't cut through the paper, so I had to keep changing the design.  So many crafter's make their cards look just stunning.  Texture was added by using 3 embossing folders.  The butterfly was hand made by my friends Aunt Sharon (isn't it stunning?).  The LACE is called Lace Doily Ribbon by Paper Studio (I got it in 3 other colors). Of course the pearls to add a little touch of what I think is some elegance.

I would love to enter my creation over at Make It Monday - #156 - Anything Goes!

We would love it if you would come on out and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Don't forget about our Guest Designer positions.  Leanne, Lori and Melissa have more inspiration waiting for you over at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Thanks for sharing my card with me! Have a great week and take a little bit of time to enjoy the journey! Hugs

Squares Anyone!

Good Morning! Exciting news for this week, well my family has a new kitten...named Tigger! I guess the old saying is NEVER say NEVER...guess I did that once to often....LOL.  She is very cute and has captured everyone's hearts.  She reminded us of one of my husbands kittens he had growing up.  We are now in for an adventure :)

We are on the last Thursday of August and at 4 Crafty Chicks our fabulous Lori is our Hostess.  Lori has asked us to use SQUARES for Challenge #157what a fantastic challenge. So many ways to be inspired by this challenge.

To make my squares below, I used two of my Stampin Up punches.  I thought it would be fun to make a baby card with these fabulous pattern papers. A clean and simple layout that really could be used with any kind of sentiment.
We hope that you will join us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week as we do love to see what idea's our challenges inspire in you.  I look forward to hopping on over to see what you have created.  My fellow DT's have awesome inspiration for you.

Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment. They are appreciated.

Enjoy the journey of your day!

Have a Magical Day!

Good morning! Today, is back to school shopping for my kids and I.  It is going to be a fun day and hopefully the weather is nice.  Just a tad of exciting news to share with you.  My new craft room is completed and stuff is moved in, not completely organized as I am missing some much needed shelves and drawers (not sure where stuff is... :) but it is mine all the same, no sharing anymore.  When I get it fixed up pictures will follow :) My first creation was made yesterday in it and you get to see it today! Enough of that and onto our new Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Lori is our Hostess with the Mostess this week.  She is giving us a challenge that we haven't done in a while....Do you want to know what it is?  Well for Challenge # 156 - It is an Inspiration Photo that is down below.  It is full of vibrant colors, ripples and really this should get some creative juices flowing.  I know it did for me.

My card is below.  In order to incorporate the ripples I used my Cheveron embossing folder from Stampin Up.  The colors are the black, grey, white, blue, light purples, pink and a touch of green. It was fun to add the ribbon and the brad too :)
I would like to enter my card into Make it Monday -#`54- Anything Goes

My fellow chicks have some awesome inspiration for you over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Hop on over to see them and then come and join us for our challenge.  We would love to see what you create from this picture!

With Sympathy

Good morning! Well this week has been a wee bit exciting, basketball/volleyball camp, back to school shopping (feel like I am swearing when I say that *wink*), we celebrated a 40th birthday, babysitting a 7 year old and a 14 month old all week, I finished painting my new craft room (but just have to wait until it all dries before I can move my stuff in (and pretend to organize it better...LOL).  Here is hoping for this weekend). Today, I am going on a girls day with my fabulous friend Lori!  Enough about my week and onto our new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.

We are on Challenge #155 and it is my turn to give it to you.  My challenge to everyone is to create a sympathy card. Unfortunately we have needed way to many of these lately.

My card below uses Martha Stewart butterfly punches and the stamps are from Verve.  The paper is basic black, whisper white and Basic Grey.  It is a pretty clean and simple card but I tried to add some pop with the folding of the top two layers.  Hope it worked.

Please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and show us what this challenge inspires in you.  I would love to come on over and see you wonderful creations.  My fellow chicks have made amazing creations for you to see.

Thank you so much for sharing my creation with me.

Here is a smile coming your way!!

A Little Black and White!

Good Morning! As I look out the window it is misty or foggy morning outside. Really not sure what kind of weather we are going to have today! The birds however are singing. We are on the last 5 days of my husbands holidays and I just can't believe how fast time has flown.  Yesterday consisted of going back to school shopping with our daughter who was in her glory! We also got a chance to watch our oldest play at his volleyball/basketball camp.  Another busy day in the neighborhood!

At 4 Crafty Chicks Melissa is our hostess with the mostess! Her challenge for us is to use Black and White - Challenge #154.  Scrapbooking, cards, 3D, knitting...what ever this challenge inspires in you!

The flower below was made out of one of Lori's die cuts and stampin Up's little flower punch.  Clean and Simple.  The scallop edging is also one of her dies.  Thanks for crafting with me.  It was a fun day!
I would love to enter my card into Make It Mondays - Anything Goes

We would love to see your creations over at 4 Crafty Chicks and I would love to come one over and comment! For more inspiration please hop on over, my fellow DT's have some amazing pieces of art.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by.
