Monochromatic with Purples

Good Morning and Happy first day of August! I am excited to show you my newest DT creation for Crafts Galore Encore Challenges.

Our sponsor for this month is Di's Digi's.

The challenge for August is an easy one.  Who doesn't love ANYTHING GOES! You can enter up to 3 times.  We all love coming to see your creations each month.

My card is full of layers and  thought I would try a monochromatic card using purples, now I know some of them look blue but they aren't *promise*.  I love this digi and got tryout my new butterfly from Memory Box.  She is colored with copics and I used some punches and spellbinders to help make my image pop. Who doesn't love to have some embossing to add some texture. It is one of my all time fav's :)

Looking for more great inspiration please hop on over to Crafts Galore Encore Challenge my fellow DT's have once again out done themselves.  Amazing talent.

Thanks for sharing my new card.

Have an fantastic week.

Hugs

Tamie

Happy, Happy Thursday morning to you!  I am enjoying time with my family and it sure feels nice.

We are on Challenge #47 over at Creative Knockouts and we would just love, love, love to see some rockin Christmas in July creations.  Our fabulous sponsor this week is Dilly Beans Stamps and they provided me with this image to use Three Penguins.

Camping Is Intents!!

Good, Good Morning! This week has been smokin' hot so we have enjoyed going to the swimming pool. My craft room is crazy hot with no curtains or blinds up.  Hoping we find some soon, on the bright side I guess we have our own personal sauna.  The smoke from all the forest fires has made breathing harder and my allergies are sure flaring up. My thoughts are with everyone who lives around the fires.

It is my turn to be the hostess at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I think we have a super fun challenge this week. For CHALLENGE #203 I would love to see something about the Great Outdoors.

Loving this image from Lacy Sunshine, thought it was perfect for anyone who loves camping and play in the Great Outdoors.  I used Copics to color the image, spellbinders and 5 different Stampin Up punches.  I had fun playing with the twine too. What would you do if you work up and found this when you were tenting?

I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:

Tuesday Throwdown - #204 - Take Us On Vacation (Camping)

Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog - Challenge #186 - Anything Goes

The ABC Challenge - P is for Pearls

We are very excited to see what creations you come up with this week.  Please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks to be inspired by with more fabby creations and to enter yours.

Have an amazing week! A huge smile is coming your way.

That's A Smore Eh!

Whaooo! We are into our second week of holidays and so far we have survived my oldest sons wisdom teeth removal, physiotherapy, doctors appointments and of course the beautiful hot weather.  I am still dreaming of having everyone sleep in for at least one day during this summer :).

I am giddy with excitement to show you my new DT card for Creative Knockouts.  Our sponsor this week is the wonderful Lacy Sunshine and she has graciously let me create with the Eleanor and Pickles Smores digi image.  We are on Challenge # 45 and we are asking you to SEW IT UP - REAL OR FAUX

I picked this image because this is one thing I just love doing with my kids each summer.  Sadly we won't be able to go camping this year because of my accident but I did try to get the camping feeling on this card.  We love to tent...so I decided that this card required some real stitching.  First thing was to find my Framelits and was very excited to use my Festive Paper Piercing mats.  It is my first time using them and thought it would be the perfect thing to help me hand sew on this card. Then out came the embroidery floss and my cross stitch needle. Both layers were sewed by hand and two different styles.

Recipe:

Stamp: Lacy Sunshine - Eleanor and Pickle Smores

Paper: Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Acorn Hollow 6x6 pad.

Accessories: Stampin Up framelit and festive paper piecing mat, Fancy Tags 1, copic markers, chocolate and yellow pearls, floss and needle.

I would love to enter my card into the following Challenges:

Stampin' Royalty - Challenge #236 - Anything Goes

Crafting By Designs - Use Dies Challenge

Twisted Tuesday - Challenge #80 - Challenge - Include Pearls on your Creation Twist Lots of Layers

Fan-Tastic Tuesdays - Challenge #43 - Anything Goes

It would be great to see you at Creative Knockouts this week. For more incredible inspiration please hop on over and see my fellow DT's creations. I would love to see how you sewed on your project be it real or faux.

Have a spectacular day! May it be one filled with tons of laughter.

Thanks for sharing it with me!! Hugs

Inspired By A Song

Good Morning! We have had a very hot week so far and last night ended up with two storms passing threw.  Lots of thunder and lightening but it has cooled things down a bit. One of my highlights this last week was going to the brand new swimming pool in Wetaskiwin with my husband and daughter.  I must say it was extremely weird not being able to just swim but they were awesome with me and helped me out lots. It has been just about 9 months since I have been in the pool and boy have I sure missed the water. Now onto why you are here...

We are on CHALLENGE #202 at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our wonderful hostess this week is our fabulous chick Tina.  She would like us to create something "INSPIRED BY A SONG".  There are so many good songs out there and if anything my trouble was narrowing them down to just one.

SONG INSPIRED BY NICK LOWE
"I Knew The Bride When She Used To Rock And Roll"

I love this song! My girlfriends had this played at my wedding and we all danced to it. It was so awesome, a wonderful memory and an very fun party.  The digi is from Kenny K called the Wedding Dance. These digi's are so much fun to color up.  This particular card was made when my fellow Chick Leanne came for a visit, where we got some crafting time on. Don't faint but yes you are seeing flowers for the second time is as many weeks *wink*.  The image has been colored with copic markers. You can't tell by the picture but the dress is shiny from a clear glitter pen.

I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:

Crafting With Dragonflies - Challenge #30 - Clean and Simple (CAS)

Crafty Creations Challenges - Challenge #267 - Let's Party

Creative Moments - Challenge #46 - Anything Goes/Celebration (Wedding Dance)

We would love to have you pop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks...I personally can't wait to see what song inspires you.  Our guest designer and my fellow chicks have rockin inspiration for you too.

Wishing you a fabulous week! Thanks for sharing my new DT card with me.

My Take On a Nautical Theme

Sorry for the lateness of my post for 4 Crafty Chicks.  I was having computer difficulties tonight and well my darling hubby got back really late and well my knight in shining armor finally got it fixed. Thank you to the chicks for your patience.

Our wonderful hostess with the mostess this week is Leanne! She is asking us to create using a NAUTICAL THEME for Challenge #201.  I would also like to welcome our July Guest Designer Calypso and she will dazzle you with her inspiration.

My card is below and I decided to use Navy and White.  It is clean and simple but reminds me of the sail boats and lighthouses out at Prince Edward Island. It is truly a gorgeous part of Canada.

Items Used:
Winds of Grace Stamps
Night of Navy, Whisper White
Memento Tuxedo Black,

I sure do hope you have time to pop on by and join us this week for our Nautical Theme Challenge.  It will be so exciting to see your creations.  If you are looking for more inspiration then don't hesitate to hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks because Calypso, Tina, Leanne have out done themselves.

I am very excited to use the following image DOODLED FLORAL 1 from our sponsors.  Thank you :)  My image is below and has been kept in a monochromatic white except for the image. It was my idea to keep the focus on the beautiful flowers but to give some dimension with the layers and embossing folder. The image was colored by Copics.

We would love it if you would pop on by to show us your creations over at Cards Galore Encore Challenge.  Looking for even more inspiration my fellow DT's have completely outdone themselves go take a peek :)

Stripes!!

Good Morning! We are all doing a happy dance because SUMMER HOLIDAYS are finally here! Yahoo.  After today, the kids can sleep in well for a few days anyway. Thanks to everyone who has helped support us this school year.

We are super excited to be celebrating our 200th Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Thanks CHICKS for all the amazing challenges. You never seize to inspire me. Our hostess with the absolute mostess is Lori this week. Still not sure where the time is going but I want to say thank you to Amy for being our Guest Designer this month and inspiring us with her phenomenal designs.

I had so much fun making this card at my mom's.  She is very talented and didn't mind at all that I used up a little bit of her stash.  The flower was colored with the new Cherry Cobbler Alcohol, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Alchol markers. It was fun to added three different pattern papers with strips and the cherry cobbler twine.

I made this card for a friend who loves flowers and is incredibly talented herself at what ever craft she picks up to do.  Right now she loves making those cupcake bouquets.

We would love to have you join us for our 200th challenge this week and show us what stripes inspire in you! It is always fun to see you over at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Thanks for poppin in and sharing my new card with me.

Hello....

Hello and welcome back to my blog! We are almost on the last week of school and with all the tests we have tired grouchy pouchy kids that are counting the days till they can sleep in.  I don't blame them with so many exams to write regular Finals test, Provincial Achievement Tests and Diploma Exams.  It is a lot of pressure and unfortunately they all suffer from test anxiety. Truly I feel for them.

At 4 Crafty Chicks this week it is my turn to challenge you! So for Challenge #199 I would like to see ROUND CARDS! Now this is something outside of my crafting box. So onto Youtube I went and where I found several good tutorials but the best one came from my talented fellow chick Leanne while we were facetiming :) .  Within 5 minutes this card was on the go.  However it took me all afternoon to create this card.

So when you look below please don't fall off your chairs because you are right there are flowers on my card (another stepping outside of my comfort zone)*wink*.  No, it is not your imagination :) It all started with three flowers and well they just kept multiplying. My card is a little smaller as my biggest circle spellbinder is not that big. I also had a great time coloring up this image as I was thinking of Pink and the song Trouble.

Good Morning! It has been a busy week for me and I am sure for most of you too. School is almost done and of course with beautiful sunny weather you are probably outside walking, gardening, visiting with neighbors that you haven't seen most of the winter. Big yellow just seems to make a person smile. Hello Baby!!

Hello and welcome back! Last night was a great night as I was able to go to a supper with a friend and our oldest boys.  It was the first sports/music/drama/ volunteer awards night and really an appreciation to everyone for a job well done. The kids dress up and truly made this night awesome with their cheers for everyone.  Not to mention the food was delicious and catered by my favorite cater.

Now onto why you are here.  I have a new DT card for you, created for 4 Crafty Chicks. My talented friend Tina is our hostess-with-the-mostess this week.  Tina would like us for Challenge #198 to make a BABY creation.  I must say a big apology to our neighbor Amy who started last week as our very talented Guest Designer for this month and well I missed letting you know.  Please give her a big warm welcome.

When making this card, I wanted to find something different so I set off to google baby cards. I found so many cute cards made like this with so many different variations of the baby buggy.  My crafting mojo was inspired and well out came the paper, buttons, spellbinders, pearls and sentiment.  It was a quick card and a type, I would like to make more of.  Here is hoping that you like it.
