Good morning! This week is my week to be the hostess at 4 Crafty Chicks. Every 2-4 years we are lucky enough to go to Victoria, B.C. to visit my sister, my niece and nephew and my auntie, uncle and cousins. It always is an amazing time and always too short. The ocean is a huge part of the visit. It is a place we spend tons of time exploring and sometimes just sitting still as a family and watching the wild life in the ocean. We all love the lighthouses too!
For this challenge I thought of my husband, he has always wanted to learn how to sail and he truly loves watching them glide across the water.
Here is my creation for this week. I am hoping to add another card later on as I found I stamp that oh has not been used in way to long. Clean and simple, it is but I hope you enjoy it. Be sure to stop bye and see my fellow chicks since they have such amazing creations to share ( Leanne, Lori, Melissa and Alethea).
I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes!! The DT's also have fabby creations.
Be sure to stop by and join us! I just can't wait to see what you create. It is always awesome hopping on over to your blogs.
Please have an amazing day and a super positive one!!

Fabulous Sketch at 4 Crafty Chicks!
Good Morning to you! Today is a rainy day and is kind of following my mood a little bit. To my fellow DT members, I apologise to all of you for my lack of commitment of getting my creation done on time this week. To my fellow followers, to you I say sorry for not having my regular post ready for you to see. The last few weeks have been very emotional and this last week my emotions are sitting so close to the top that I cry at the drop of a hat. School is finally done for me here but who knew that I could feel so incredibly happy and devastated at the same time. Enough of my blabbing and whining and onto the challenge for this week.
Our fabulous Melissa is our hostess-with-the-mostess at 4 Crafty Chicks this week. We are on challenge #94 and since we haven't done a sketch in a while Melissa has whipped a nice and easy one up for us.
Here is my creation! This weekend is Father's Day and well I must say where has the month of June gone already! Half over fore sure. So when I saw Melissa's sketch for us, my idea was a Father's Day card, after a few wrecked cards from my tears this is what I came up with.
Hope you enjoy it!!
Please come out and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks. We love seeing what you create each week and truly it is a blast to come over to your blog and get to know you a little bit. Be sure to hop on over to see what my fellow DT's have whipped up!!
Have an amazing weekend and thanks for stopping bye.

My second Monochromatic card!
Good Morning! Whew, I think that I am glad Wednesday is over. So many unexpected things happened yesterday, so really I hope today is going to be a little more quiet. For my oldest son today is his official last day of classes and then exam week is next week. My middle son got a concussion and basically his last day of school was May 30 and no finals for him. Our daughter's last day of school is next Friday!! Bring on summer right....LOL.
Man did I ever love all of the branching out creations this past week. Some casing just might have to happen. We are onto challenge #93 at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and our very talented hostess is LEANNE!
She has an amazing challenge for us and one I struggle with but in the end it must be coming easier because this little baby was whipped up in a 1/2 hour. WHOOT, WHOOT!! If only you could see my crazy dance.
Here is my creation. It is made with whisper white card stock, using a stamp from Stampin Up, oval punch, border punch and one of their embossing folders. The other folders are cuttlebug. Now my beautiful butterfly was hand made my Lori's auntie Sharon. She does amazing crocheting. She makes flowers for us too and well she is so talented and has more patience than me to do this delicate stuff. Thanks Sharon. I feel it adds a bit of pop to the card. Hope you think so too.
I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes
We have a surprise this week and it is that we have our new Guest Designer Alethea. She is going to be with us for the month of June and boy is she one talented lady. My other fellow chicks have fabulous monochromatic cards for you too. Be sure to stop bye and see Leanne, Lori and Melissa.
Come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun challenge, can't wait to see what you have for us this week.
Thanks for stopping in and sharing in my creation this week.

Branching Out at 4 Crafty Chicks
Good evening! I have been trying so hard since January not to vent on here about my children's school. Every time I think they have showed me how low they can go they surprise me with something else. Yesterday, was one of those days and my time was taken up taking care of my middle son Robin. Today, was quite a few hours in at emergency where we found out he has a concussion and we had to have a CT Scan done. Alas, my post for 4 Crafty Chicks is late. We are truly counting down our last day of school of June 14th.
We have an awesome challenge for you this week and since there is 5 Thursdays in May we have a Crazy Egg prize up for grabs. Leanne, who is also our fabulous and incredibly inspirational DT is our hostess with the mostess this week. She is also offering up this beautiful prize for ya all.
This week we are onto our 92nd challenge. Are you ready to see what it is?

A Truly Inspiring Color Combo!
Sorry, had my post scheduled but blogger did not post it on time. Have a wonderful Thursday everyone!
Hey all! It is that time of year again when life gets a little bit busy. Our long weekend was busy but filled with some good old fashion relaxation. I actually picked up my cross stitch and did about 4 hours of work on it. It felt good, my tiger cross stitch has been being worked on for well to many years. One day it is going to be on my wall...LOL.
Are you ready for another challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks? Our beautiful and completely inspiring hostess for this week is Lori Turner from Inkingly Yours. We are really excited for this challenge. Although there is color challenges out in blogger land we don't have many at 4 Crafty Chicks. Lori came up with a truly inspiring color combo for our 91st challenge. We hope you will come and join us and for more inspiration from Lori, Leanne and Melissa hope on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.
I would like to enter my card into the following Challenges:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

No Stamping Zone at 4 Crafty Chicks
Hey all! How has the last week been for you? Well I have been to a conference with my husbands work and then spent the rest of the weekend at Tristan's volleyball tournament. We had a good time at my brother and sister in-laws. It was all so much fun but really tiring. Now of course it is time to play catch up...LOL.
Thank you so much to everyone who played in my Boys Dig It challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. All of the creations were marvelous. This week at 4 Crafty Chicks is our prize week and a new challenge of course. Our beautiful hostess-with-the-mostess is LORI (Inkingly Yours).

Challenge #87
No Stamping Zone
use chipboard, rub-on's, paper, ribbon...but no stamps.
When Lori shared with us girls what our challenge was going to be I was sooo excited. My brain started working a mile a minute and the result was that my lonely rub-on's were going to be broken out of the wrappers. The funny part was when using them, one of them said November 2009 man have they been sadly neglected. So thanks Lori for reminding me that we don't always have to use stamps.
Now I keep seeing all of these gorgeous cards that are clean, crisp and simple. They are one layer only the card base and they look fantastic. No stamps and one layer, well you could say I was sweating bricks...LOL. I think there might be too much white...yes Lori I said it...LOL. Any way the Rub ons are from Stamping Up. As you can tell by the one date they are probably retired *giggle*. The words are from Chit Chat and the flowers are ??. and the paper is Whisper White.
Thank you so much to Kasey and Heather for your beautiful and wow popping creations this month. We have truly been lucky to have you share our challenges with us. Be sure to stop bye and see all of the girls their work is just amazing.
I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Can't wait to visit you all and see what you have come up with, join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun challenge.
Thank you all so much for stopping by, you are always welcome and the support is awesome. Share a smile with someone today, you never know when they might just need one.

Boys Dig It at 4 Crafty Chicks.
Hi everyone! This week it is my turn to be the hostess with the mostess at 4 Crafty Chicks. I don't always have masculine or boy cards around and well to tell you the truth sometimes, they are just plain hard for me to make. So I thought for Challenge #86 we should do a Boys Dig It challenge.
The card I am showing you is one I made for my son Robin. He loves his music and saved for an Ipod Touch a few years ago. Now it is always with him and he is always singing something. This Kenny K stamp is called Teen Idol. It fits him to a tee. It is hard to see that I used the embossing folder with the lines from Stampin Up on the blue back ground paper and I also used for my sentiment a stampin up stamp. The markers were copic and stampin up Cajun Craze. Robin is a clean and simple teenage and that is what I did for his card. The DC charm is actually something I found on the floor, it is from Robin's hoodie...recycle right.
Hope you like the card! My fellow DT's as always have rocked this challenge out of the ball park, gaming park...which ever park you like...they did an amazing job. Be sure to check them out at 4 Crafty Chicks.
Come on out and show us what inspires you with the title of Boys Dig It. It is going to be a blast coming to visit you.

Using Fabric at 4 Crafty Chicks.
Good morning! The last few days have been very windy here but oh the sunshine sure makes up for it. How was your Easter? Ours was very good, we enjoyed our time together. My kids are nearing the end of our Easter holidays, so that is a little sad for me. On the weekend we will be celebrating my daughters birthday. Can't believe she will be 10 already...LOL. It has been a week of picking up another love of my crochet. I am working on finished up a project that has been on the go for a couple of years. Can't wait to show you the finished project. Thank you Lori for encouraging me to pick it back up.

CHALLENGE #85 - FABRIC (ribbon does not count).
She got me digging into my stash and using something that was bought a few years ago and sadly was just stored until now. Using fabric is something that I totally forget to use. It sure does have an amazing effect. The flowers are made out of felt! It was so much fun to use. This card would have worked so well with last weeks challenge too...LOL. Thanks Melissa for getting me to go outside of the box and digging into my treasure trove.

CHALLENGE #83 - EASTER
(bunnies, chocolate, flowers, Jesus...what does it mean to you)
(bunnies, chocolate, flowers, Jesus...what does it mean to you)
Man this challenge I was truly all over the place. I was babysitting and the young girl said to me, when are you going to make up your mind...LOL. Flowers that were made from eggs, then a stamped image of a bunny holding Easter eggs, then a cross and finally I settled on the bible and the word rejoice. This year is a reminder to me to think about and appreciate what Jesus did for me...it is a reason to celebrate. Oh, but I still want some chocolate from that Easter bunny. I hope you like it?

Hello, today is the 4th Friday of March, and you know what that means a new post for SP and Company Stamps. The stamps I chose to use are Mix 'n Match Sentiments Holidays and Scallops and Lines. The green pattern paper is Echo Park.
My mind went straight for the idea of a Mother's Day card and wola I just happened to have a stamp for it. I have been working with some of the newer stamps and thought today was an opportunity to show you some older stamps. Truly SP and Company have a great selection of stamps and other products to use in your scrap booking and card making.
I would like to share my card in the following challenges:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Milk Coffee Challenge - Anything Goes
Thanks for stopping bye my blog. Be sure to stop over at SP and Stamps Blog for more inspiration from all of the wonderful Design Team.
Hoping you all have an amazing day!!
