It is hard to believe that October is almost over.  On Halloween night my cousin and my nephew were born on this night. The best Halloween ever. My daughter and her friend will be trick or treating and they made their costumes this year. So proud of them. Coloring with ones eyes dilated after a specialist visit is not recommended.  I did that with this picture, it is super hard to do and not my best work.

So today is Kaitlyn's second last league game in volleyball. I just love watching them play.  The fun part this weekend is they get to play at a Halloween tournament in their costumes. It is going to be so much fun.

Color Me Janette

For Challenge #111 -Metal Mode (use metal of some sort on your card-charm, metal foil, etc) . Kelly would like us to dig into our stash and find some metal to use on our projects. My fellow DT's have some real master pieces to show you. (Sorry for the picture, it doesn't do it justice.  The shine on it was bad. I will try to take another picture to show you.  I used metal brads and aluminum tin foil for the background.

What does your day hold for you? Today, I am going to watch a volleyball game of my daughters. Love this time of year with the sports. Hoping to break out my crocheting tonight.

Pearls, Pearls, Pearls!

What a great weekend! We enjoyed family, turkey and games. It is so much fun to get everyone together. This year we were very lucky to have my sister and her two kids here from beautiful Victoria BC.

My card above uses the image from A Random Fan. The pattern paper and papers came from Stampin Up. My image is colored using copics and of course the pearls.  The die cut that was used is a scalloped oval from Spellbinders. Once again I feel my picture taking is not going very well these days.  Sorry for an unclear picture.  If it looks better than I think could you let me know please.

Happiness is...

Good good morning! We are heading towards our Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada. We had some huge winds this past weekend and boy oh boy did the leaves fall down to the ground. The richness of the colors just keeps me in awe of the beauty of nature.

Believe it or not this is the first time I have done something like this. Fall colors were in my mind and well I was trying to recreate a sunset but not sure if that happened.  Stamps used were from Stampin Up and Verve.  Markers from stampin up.

Hello, everyone, I am hoping you are having a good day. Today it is overcast but a lot less windy than yesterday. The temperature has been dropping really low here and it almost feels like that s***. Sure not really to have that "s word" laying on the ground. 

I am excited to share my new DT creation for Little Patch of Crafty Friends.  We are on Challenge #19 and it is always ANYTHING GOES! We have 3 sponsors again this month. Nature Tots Series - Flower Sent

Good afternoon! It is a sunny blue skied day here in Millet Alberta. The wind has slightly picked up and the colors of all of the trees are simply an artists portrait.

 Sorry to my fellow Creative Knockouts family for the lastness of my post this week.  I got messed up on my weeks and then when looking for my card, I realized that it was given away. Did I take any pictures nope. It was then that I took notice of the mess that I got myself into.  I was super super frustrated.  Now for my newly colored image and new card.

Breaking Out The Washi Tape

Hello and happy 1st day of October! It seems like school just started but some of my friends were talking and saying that their kids in College/University are writing midterms already.  I just couldn't believe it.  Today, is my lucky day, I get to go watch Kaitlyn's team play a volleyball game but before I get to go play the work needs to be done.

It is Thursday and the very first week of the month.  So we have our very talented Leanne with our challenge and we are introducing Guest Designer for this month.  Her name is Emily!  

Challenge #266

Washi Tape

So this challenge was super dooper fun.  I started making my card and well to be honest got a little bit stumped after I got the washi tape laid down.  My mom gave me these long sheets of Washi Tape by Stampin Up, it is sooooooo cool.  You can use it with die cuts make it as big or as small as you want. Each strip is a from one in this package.  My stamps have been a little lonely so, dusting this one off, it just seemed like the right size.  A touch of bling and ribbon/bow to finish off this quick and easy Washi Tape creation.

Welcome to my blog from small town Millet, Alberta.  As I am typing this the sky is a beautiful blue and it is breezy. The sun is getting ready to set but a very nice fall night. It is hard to believe that we have already welcomed in fall and that September doesn't have many days left in it.  My excitement for today is that I get to watch my daughters first volleyball game of the year and she already has a tournament this weekend. So awesome. Let the games begin :) .

Today is a brand new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and our hostess is our beautiful chick Lori.  For Challenge #265 she would like us to use Sparkle and Shine.  My card above has sparkley or shiny paper.  I also used dazzling diamonds and my Wink of Stella.  The brown paper is very shiny and sparkly.  The flourish of pearls was my touch of bling. My layout is very simple but I wanted to highlight this stamp.

Happy Fall Y'all

It sure is starting to feel a lot like fall now. We never turn our furnace on until the middle or end of October but we broke down the other day and turned it on. It has been chilly and cloudy here the last few days with rain.  I won't complain because the air smells wonderful and we really could use the rain. Unfortunately once again it is at the wrong time as the farmers are trying to get their crops harvested.

Celebrate with a Bang!!!

Hello! I have my post ready to go this week and on time...Hee hee. Another crazy week here in the Camp house hold. Just like everyone else. Let Volleyball begin :)  September flying by the month is half over...wait a minute didn't it just start.  

A funny story for you.  I have my very first cell phone, I know it is a terrible shock for everyone who knows me (giggle, giggle, snort).  Well I was driving with my middle son to his school orientation and we used the maps app to get there (Edmonton).  He asked me if I could tell where we should turn.  I said no this stupid thing isn't working, I started it and everything (in fairness I did). There was no voice, like on my husbands or Tristan's phone telling me turn right in 300, 250, 30 meters etc.  Well apparently the part I turned on was only showing us what direction we were travelling in. After a few trials of no I you need to turn there and Robin saying where is there (my brain could not for the life of it think to say move over to the left lane, all I could say was there...hee hee)(brain fart #40). I was pointing but apparently that wasn't enough.  He gets the app working at the stop light and we get to where we are going.  He starts laughing and says. "Mom do you remember when we were younger and we used to say something was over there.  You would get frustrated because you didn't know where over there was, well I just experienced it. Where actually is there?" We laughed so hard. Hopefully this makes sense.  I tend to confuse everyone since the accident, so forgive me if my rambling doesn't make sense.

So sorry for the extreme lateness of my post.  My mom informed me that I didn't have my card posted today.  It has been a crazy time here with me having a bleed in my left eye and my hubby has not been good healthwise. Lot's of appointments.

Guest Designer Call and Fall Challenge

Hello!!! I hope this 1st Thursday is going well. Last night I have discovered that I have definitely lost my crafting mind. Thinking I have not completed a project to only notice when I go to post it that I have already done this weeks challenge.  For another one, I colored an image three weeks in advance and then realized that I wasn't coloring the right image when I looked up what the challenge was.  So it might be the first day of school for my daughter but my brain needs a break....LOL.

Our hostess with the mostess is our one and only talented Leanne.  Her challenge for us is to create something to do with Fall for Challenge #262.  We are also holding a Guest Designer call for the months of October, November and December.  If you would like to join our team for one of these months please added GDT behind your name.  The Chicks would love to have you.

Good, Good Morning! Today is the first day of back to school for our daughter and our son.  The summer has flown by so fast. It has been tons of running getting ready for school. Call me crazy I am not quite ready for it but I think getting back on a schedule would be great for me.
