My mom makes over 40 Valentines Day cards for our family and they are all different. She takes a lot of time to create something unique for each of us. This year I made her and my dad a card something just for them and unique. This card reminds me of when they were younger and I would spot them giving one another a kiss out by the flower beds. You just gotta love *LOVE*.
Megan gave me the awesome idea to make a card for my parents with this challenge and then instantly I knew what stamp to use. The stamp I used is a Sarah Kay and is a little county couple. My parents loved the country so The Paper Players have this really great color combo this week of Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze & Whisper White. The sketch I chose is from Inkspirations Challenges. It is a super simple but gorgeous layout! Be sure to check out the DT's blogs they inspiration is amazing.
Here is my card! I hope you enjoy the country feel of this Valentine's Day Card.I used Copic's and Stampin Up markers, sponge dauber, pop ups and 3 different embossing folders, word window punch.
Today, I will be hitting the store to pick up the fixin's for our homemade heart shaped pizza's we make each year. Getting my oil changed in the van and taking my card to my mom and her finished christmas present from my friend Lori's very talented dad.
Please come and join us at Picture Perfect Creations, we would love to see what you create and I love getting to know each of you through your creative blogs.
Don't forget to stop bye our DT's blogs: Megan, Melissa, Lori, Paula and Sandy! There works are sooooooo fabby this week! If you want inspiration we got it for you.
Wishing you the very best VALENTINES DAY!! May it be filled with tons of love and a ringing of laughter.

ReplyDeleteThis is so cute Tamie - brings back memories of swap cards with SK images I used to have when I was a kid. Love all that embossing & such a cute card for your folks. :)
ReplyDeleteTamie, I love that stamp and what you've done with it. Simply STUNNING!
ReplyDeleteThat image is SUPER CUTE! looks like Hollie Hobbie & Huck Finn smooching :-) Note to self, if I ever send you a care package I'll make sure to include milk chocolate instead of my normal dark (I'm a dark freak.. chocolate & beer) You can call me "Paul" anytime...LOL
ReplyDeleteSuper uber cute card Tamie!! How neat that you have that heart embossing plate! But then again, as the texture queen, what design do you not have?!? We didn't do anything for v-day. I've grown quite lazy over the years. But I did make my fiance a vday card. =)
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice tradition with pizzas! Hope you have a great week! Stay warm!
