Bring on Color Combo #70

Well today is the last Monday of August and the last week that my kids are home from school. So where has the time gone and our summer? If anyone can tell me you found summer, let me know where you found it, please ;)

So last week our specialty challenge at PPC and it was a nice break but Megan has come back with a fabby color combo for you. This color combo is fun, it is yummy and something you should definitely come and join us for.

So this card was so much fun to make. I went out to my girl Lori's and we had a crafting day/night/day. Those are the best. The layout of my card is from Techno Stamper and it is an older sketch. Clean and simple is the way I went. Everything on this card is from Stampin Up..well except for the pearls. I love the new embossing folder.

The colors were fun and so I thought that making a butterfly card would appeal with these colors. Hope you like it.

I would like to enter this card into:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes

We hope you will come on out and join us for this weeks challenge at PPC. We really love coming to your blog and seeing what these colors inspired in you.

Today, there will be a visit from my mom and then maybe some school shopping but that just might have to wait until Tuesday.

Set to Inspire at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Morning to ya!! Sorry for my posting being late, my bad I thought I had it prescheduled but I didn't and then I realized I had it ready for the wrong blog, sorry Megan.

So today is Thursday and your know what that mean's. Yep you got it a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks. We are on challenge #52...go 52...LOL. Our fabulous hostess this week is Lori and she has an inspiration challenge for us.

Challenge #52 - Inspiration Picture.

Here is my card. I saw a challenge last week and my bad because I am not sure what challenge site it was at but they asked for you to only have 1/3 of your card space used. Now that was a hard one. It always looks so easy when others do it. You know even my 9 year old daughter thought it needed something more..like ribbon, more layers ect.... Now I was going to put some bling on but realized quickly that I didn't have enough of what I wanted to use...so alas. Plain and simple is how I went. Card stock (whisper white) and ink (pacific blue) are Stampin Up and the punch is from Martha Stewart, the sentiment is from Verve and the butterfly???. I do believe this is my simplest card ever...LOL. Hope you enjoy it.

On a side note today is my darling husbands birthday! So today will be busy trying to find him a birthday present, getting his supper and birthday cake ready. So we are wishing you an amazing birthday Rob!!

My fellow DT's have really rocked this challenge out of the ball park. So please hop on over to Leanne, Lori and Melissa. Please come and join us for our challenge this week at 4 Crafty Chicks. We would love to hop on over and get to know you. Have an amazing week!!

New Specialty Challenge at PPC!! :) :)

HAPPY MONDAY MORNING TO YA! This is the 3rd week of August and your know what that means. Another Specialty challenge brought to you by Picture Perfect Creations. Megan has done a wonderful job of throwing a twist in every third week to give you a break from our fabby color combo's. Thank too everyone who made it out for last weeks color combo.

So what is our challenge:

PPC Specialty Challenge #9 - SUMMER TIME FUN!! Now this means it must have some summer time fun like, beach, flip flops....you get the idea.

This year my family headed out to Victoria B.C. and to a few other places. Everything involved the beaches, ocean and bare feet. One of the things my husband Rob and I like the most about summer is seeing the boats but mostly the sail boats out on the open water. They are just beautiful too watch. So for us that is some summer fun. Now on Thursday it is Rob birthday and with Megan's idea in tow...this card sailed (pardon the pun :) right into being his birthday card. I hope he will like it. Everything except for the black pearls are from Stampin Up! I water colored Marina Mist and Cajun Craze onto the sailboat and water.

I would like to enter this card into a few challenges this week.
Cards for Men Challenge #17 - Anything Goes
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Sparkles Forum Challenges Challenge #18 - One For the Boys!

Our weekend was so beautiful with the sun shining it sure did help to cheer things up. Oh I found myself reading a book which to me is also a summer time fun item. Today will be a make up for the weekend. Finishing some laundry, washing the floors (don't know why they are sticky but they are). My kids will probably asking if they can play with friends. Thinking of something for supper...you know the general kind of day.

Here is hoping that this Monday finds you all well and that you are able to take some time to come and craft. Please join us at PPC for some summer time fun!! I love popping over to your blogs to see what is up with you. Be sure to stop on by to see what my other fellow DT's have created...their inspiration is awesome!!

4 Crafty Chicks thinks Metal

Hello and welcome to Thursday...you know it leads to Friday which is exciting but really the best part of Thursday is a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks. This week I am hosting the challenge so I hope you like it. I tried to make a challenge with something I don't use a lot, but seem to have quite a bit of it...LOL. It is another thing that I love but must treasure it to much to use...LOL.

Challenge #51 - Metal
Where do you keep your Metal?

Oh I dug deep to find some really good metal to use on this card. So on this card is 6 metal brads and a charm. I enjoyed using my stampin up punches along with my colors which are early espresso, marina mist, pear pizzazz DSP and whisper white and the satin ribbon is awesome.

I picked this image and charm because I was thinking about the delight I have when sharing a cup of hot chocolate or tea with my friends while they are their yummy coffee. I delight in their friendships alot and treasure the joy they bring to my life.

Please come and join 4 Crafty Chicks this week. We would love to see what metal you dig up for whatever craft you want to enter. So if you have time grab a some sort of drink, put on some rockin music and create, create, create. Be sure to share some love with Lori, Melissa and Leanne.

A Rose For You!

Good Morning! Can you believe it is Monday? Boy did this weekend fly bye. So what is the best part of this Monday morning? You got it a new challenge at Picture Perfect Creations! Megan has an exciting color combo for us. It is Crumb Cake, Bravo Burgundy, Blushing Bride and Old Olive. Oh the pretty things you can do with these colors. Thanks Megan for another fabby challenge.

Waking up early appeared to be inspiring to me. After looking at the colors the night before, when I walked into my craft room it all just seemed to come together. My mom had lent me this stamp and have been waiting for the perfect moment to use it. This color combo was just perfect. The roses are colored with Blushing Bride because I thought the burgundy would have been a little too dark. Over all this stamp which is an older one from Stampin UP is stunning and can be used for so many reason. My sentiment for this card is Happy Birthday since I needed a card. All products are from Stampin Up :)

The layout I used is from an old sketch from The Sweetest Thing. Another clean and simple card.

So if you can take a little bit of time for you, grab a cup of coffee or say ice tea and join us for this wonderful challenge, that would be awesome. I will enjoy coming around to see what they have inspired for you. Be sure to stop bye and share some love with our Design Team because they sure have rocked it again this week.

Thanks for stopping bye and sharing in my card :) Here is smile for you today :)

TWINE, TWINE, TWINE

HELLO, HELLO, HELLO...today is THURSDAY and you know what that means. Yep you got it a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. Today our very creative hostess is Melissa and she has the amazing honor of sharing with you our 50th challenge. WOOT, WOOT!!! Can you tell I am so excited!!! Fifty challenges girls way to go :)

CHALLENGE #50 - TWINE

I had got some new twine and was just looking for the perfect reason to use it and Melissa sure gave it too me. Now I don't feel that the picture I took does justice for this card...in person I think it looks way better. The stamp set is one that my mom bought and is sharing with us. When I saw the color of the twine, I thought it would be the perfect stamp for this card. My 1/8th whole punch was used along the sides of the card stock and well it is something I need to practice a little bit more but the effect of the twine behind the stamped image worked on the diagonal of the card. Here is to hoping you enjoy the clean and simple card. Everything except for the twine is Stampin Up.

Underneath the image is the word JOY. Sometimes it can be so hard to find the joy in us. This particular day I was making this card with my daughter Kaitlyn and my son's girlfriend Nicole. They were creating with me and it brought me so much joy. Sometimes it is just the simplest of things that can bring us joy.

So my wish is for you to come on our and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for our 50th challenge and to find some joy in the little things. Melissa, Lori and Leanne have created some amazing cards too...be sure to stop bye and share some love.

Give Unto You A New Challenge At PPC!

Good Monday morning! The sun is shining here today and well I was up coughing all night, so when the town started cutting down tree's at 7:45 am I was not a happy camper...LOL. So as I type this up for you my head is pounding and I am thinking of drinking a hot cup of tea...well that is if I could stop coughing long enough to drink it...LOL. Enough of my complaining and onto my weekend. We started out by cleaning out our garage, when we needed a break we took the kids to go see the Smurfs and Cowboys vs Aliens (both of which were good), then we came home and continued cleaning. I continued to clean out some papers and stuff from my craft room and my kitchen last night. A very productive weekend indeed. What did you do?

So thank you so much to everyone who played with us last week. This week Megan has once again given us a fabby color combo. They are colors would have never been put together by me on my own, but I LOVE THEM. The PPC girls sure have made some master pieces with this color combo...make sure you check them out.

So here is my card. My stamp is from Verve, circles are made by spellbinders, embossing folder, paper, button, linen thread, ink (early espresso, more mustard), pop ups, glue dots and ribbon are all from Stampin Up, and my flower .

Over all I really like the look of this card. Hope you do too. Thank you Megan for a really fun color combo. Be sure to stop bye and share in our your creations with us. We would love to stop bye and see what you have for us at PPC.

What are you up to this Monday. For me it will be an afternoon nap and laundry. Enjoy your Monday it can only lead to Friday :) Thanks for stopping bye and sharing my card with me.

Bring on Some Color with 4 Crafty Chicks.

Well my friends today is Thursday and you know what that means. A new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. Our fabulous color rich hostess this week is our one and only Leanne. Does she have a challenge for you! Have you guessed it yet?

CHALLENGE #49 - COLOR COMBO - CALYPSO CORAL, POPPY PARADE, PEAR PIZZAZZ AND WHISPER WHITE.

This is the first card that I have made from holidays. I started off with a sketch and then ended up going rogue because I messed up cutting one of my circles and well didn't want to start over. My daughter and I were making cards together and boy was that so nice. So with her help we made this new layout and well together we think it kind of looks like a Mickey Mouse in color...LOL. I really enjoyed using these colors and found that breaking out my embossing folders helped with the texture and dimension of my card. I dug deep into my bead and glitter drawer and came up with this green from my Bead Duo package from Stampin Up. I also used one of their two sided sticky flowers to stick it too. It wasn't really the effect I was looking for but it worked once I put the pearl brad in the middle. The punches and stamps are also Stampin Up.

So come and join us for our 49th challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks. We can't wait to see what inspires you with this color combo. I think it is a totally fun one especially with it being summer. I look forward to hopping on over to your blog. Please hop on over to Melissa, Leanne and Lori's blogs to share some love with them. Their links are on my left hand side bar.

Thanks for stopping bye.

A New Color Combo at Picture Perfect Creations!

Good Morning! It is good to be back from vacation, I have missed you all. My family and I had a wonderful time in Victoria, B.C. with my sister (her kids), my parents and my couple of my Aunts families. My cousin was married and oh was it ever a beautiful beach wedding. The weather wasn't as warm as we usually get but the company made it perfect anyway. The best part basically no mosquito's which was such an awesome experience.

Before I get onto our new challenge at Picture Perfect Creations! I want to thank Lori and Megan for helping me out and picking the winners for the last couple of weeks, it will be nice to go back and see who you picked. Also thank you to my fellow Design Team members for commenting on my cards even though I wasn't around. The comments have brightened my day.

Onto our next challenge. Megan sure does have some fantastic colors for us this week. Our colors are Perfect Plum, Concord Crush and Very Vanilla. Now I just love, love, love these colors but you know I struggled with moving them around and trying to come up with something funky with them. Realizing that I don't own any ribbon in Concord Crush or Perfect Plum was a bit of a problem with my layout. Maybe I was just thinking way to hard about the colors and trying to get my inspiration off of holiday mode. Truly I love every creation that my fellow DT's made with these colors. They rocked it out.

Here is my card! These colors made me think of a shopping day with the girls. So I broke out my Lottie and Gussie Gabalot Bella's. They were so much fun to color. I also used spellbinders for my circles and a Stampin Up border punch for my accent near the bottom of my card (markers too). Feeling it still needed something I broke out my bling and oh the glitter I haven't used it in a while...to tell you the truth I was going to use twine but well I wasn't thinking and glued my paper down...LOL. Next time. Here was my try at working outside of my crafting box...LOL.

As a treat I used the sketch from The Paper Players this week. I found it very inspiring with these colors. It was just trying to decided what would work with the bottom part. The DT pictures were awesome.

So I am ready to go this week and can't wait to see what you create with these fabby colors. It will be really nice to hop over to your blog and get to know you. Join us over a Picture Perfect Creations.

Happy August Long Weekend to everyone! Today, will be spent with my family as it is my DH last day of holidays. Truly have a great week and thanks so much for stopping bye and sharing in my creation.
