You Go Girl! and Guest Designer Call at 4 Crafty Chicks

Hello my friends! This past week has been full of hot heat but with the high temperatures has also brought even more fires in the Province of Alberta.  We really could use rain to help with the dryness and the fires.  On Tuesday night there was evacuations in Fort McMurray, Alberta and it is the largest evacuation in the history of Alberta.  This wild fire has removed 70,000 people from their homes.  Our thoughts and prayer are with our families, friends, fire fighters, police, military and everyone else involved.

Yes we are already on the first Thursday of May!! Our daughter informed me that she really only has about 36 days left of school.  Needless to say I went what the heck!! So on that note our talented and wonderful Hostess for our brand new Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks is our very beautiful Leanne.  For Challenge #297 she would like us to bring out our SASSY WOMAN.  Must say that was so much fun to color this image of Girl Friends.  I have this dream that this is what my friends and I will look like when we get older :).

We also are having a Guest Designer Team Call. We would like for you to enter using GDT behind your name when entering, please use your name not the projects name as it might not show and we won't know if you wanted to be entered or not.  These GDT Spots will be one for each of the following months June, July, and August.

Be sure to check out what my other fellow DT's Lori and Tina have for you, their creations are inspiring. Come on over to join us at 4 Crafty Chicks! Don't forget to put GDT after your name to become a guest designer.

I would like to enter my card into the following Challenge
One Crazy Stamper - May Challenge - Anything Goes
Fab 'n' Funky Challenge - We want to see 3 or more layers
Crafting By Designs - May - Anything Goes Challenge

Music

Good Morning! What a week it has been for me.  On Tuesday night, I was able to go and watch Tristan's basketball game a first! How I have missed cheering him on and it was awesome to see my old cheering partners.  Saturday was a day for celebrating our sons basketball wins and my husbands work celebrated their 75th year in business. It was nice to go with my mom and dad to support him. It is hard to believe that our accident was 4 months ago this past Saturday and everyday we are continuing to heal.

I am excited to share another DT creation with you from 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our wonderfully talented hostess this week is Lori and she would like us to incorporate MUSIC on your creation for Challenge #183.

My creation is below. The image below is called Tiffany playing Violin by Milk Coffee Digi Stamps. Oh my goodness she was so much fun to color and just perfect for our music challenge! I added glitter to around the embossed part of the spellbinder and on her shoes, earrings and bracelet.
I thought these colours would suit a musical theme.  Add an elegance to this image.

Happily Wedding Day

Good Morning Folks! We are on our second week back at school and a routine is starting to set in.  Yesterday was a crazy day, weather wise. Got up in the morning it was +9 and incredibly windy. We set records for temperature and for wind speeds of 120 km/hour.  Hoping today it will settle down.  On the bright side there was a lot of melting snow.

I am the host for 4 Crafty Chicks this week and for Challenge #177 we are looking for Wedding creations.

My card is below! I have been wanting to make this tuxedo card for some time now.  Sorry for the picture there must have been some finger prints on the lens.  So I got this fabby little idea from my mom who just adores videos by Connie Stewart.  I made this card which I think is awesome because usually wedding cards lean more towards the bride.  This Tuxedo card is a little more masculine.  I changed it up a little bit by making a square sentiment instead of oval.  Connie has incredible ideas and she doesn't waste a stitch of paper. Isn't it wonderful the new beginnings when a couple decides to marry.  Yep, it always brings tears of happiness to my eyes (sappy one trying hard not to cry...LOL).
Recipe:
Stamp: Inkadinkadoo
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Accessories: Pearls, circle punch, large oval punch, scallop punch, scissors, square scallop punch, silver pen, glue dots and pen

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Stampive and More - Challenge #203 - New Beginnings - Wedding are new beginnings between husband and wife (hope it meets the challenge requirements).
Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Emboss It! (dry embossing on the white paper)
The Crafter's Cafe Challenge Blog - Challenge #46 - Bling It On! (pearls for the buttons on the tuxedo shirt)
One Crazy Stamper - January - Anything Goes

We would love it if you hoped on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and showed us what a Wedding inspires in you. Leanne, Lori and Tammy also have great inspiration for you. I would love to hop on over to your blog and see what you made.

Have an amazing day! Thanks for stopping by.

My first Bingo Challenge!

Happy Thursday all! I am excited to be sharing another 4 Crafty Chicks challenge with you.  We are on challenge #161 and our beautiful hostess is none other than Lori.  The Challenge she is offering up for us to do is a first at 4 Crafty Chicks.  It is a fantabulous challenge.

Challenge #161 - Bingo
You can go vertical, diagional and across! Whatever grouping inspires you but please let us know what row you decided to use for the Bingo :)
I chose to use the middle row for my bingo, ribbon, sentiment and brads.  I am currently working on Christmas cards for my husbands board members.  Each board member receives a different card.  So this is my second Christmas card of the season.  The paper is perfect plum, whisper white and sky (??); ink is perfect plum, whisper white ribbon, martha stewart snowflake punch, stampin up word window punch and label punch (??), the embossing folders are also from stampin up.
The paper is not my usual Christmas paper so I truly stepped out of my box on this one...hee hee.

Being as One Crazy Stampers Challenge Blog this month is Christmas, I would like to enter my card into their challenge.  This card will also be entered into Anything Goes over at Make It Monday.

If you are ready to see some more inspiration then please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks to see what Bonnie, Leanne and Lori have created.  We would love to see what this bingo has inspired in you.  Can't wait to visit your blog.

Thank for stopping by and sharing my card with me.  Here is a smile coming your way.

4 Crafty Chicks meets One Crazy Stamper

Hello! We are having a heat wave here today and can you believe we are on the 12th day of September and it is like summer! Bring it on baby :) I will enjoy any amount of sun I can get :)

It is time for another challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks! Our hostess this week is Melissa and she would like us to be creative with the sketch she has made for us.  Melissa has decided to pursue some other endeavors both creatively and personally, so this is her last challenge with us. Good luck!

CHALLENGE #158 - Sketch

When I saw this sketch...the first idea that came to mind was to do a Christmas card! It is a clean and simple sketch but you could dress it up or dress it down, what ever you would like to do. Great sketch Melissa.  My stamp set is Warmest Regards and Contempo Christmas from Stampin Up, the punch, paper embossing folder and dimensional are also from Stampin Up.  The pattern paper and green paper is from Holley Jolly Christmas Echo Park. Super excited to have my very first Christmas card done :)
This week I did a real fun blog hop over at One Crazy Stampers Challenge Blog and was excited to see their Challenge for the month of September is Christmas....well wouldn't you know my card is a Christmas one.

We would love it if you would hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and join us for our fun sketch challenge.  The girls have some rockin inspiration for you.  I love coming to see your work and getting to know you! Can't wait to see what this inspires in you.
