Sew Cute

I am so excited our cousin's wedding is this weekend.  It has been a while since we have had a wedding in the family so it will be wonderful to see everyone. Let our summer holidays begin.

Yep, we have a brand new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks this week and Lori is our hostess. For Challenge #304 - Sew Cute! Lori would like you to either break out the thread or you can do faux stitching.

The card above is created with Thoughts for the Day (Inkadinkado) and Basket Full of Fun (Stampin Up). I used scissors to fussy cut the basket and yarn stamps out. They are popped up with foam pads. For the sewing and yarn balls on the side is cross stitch floss. I got to dig thru my buttons to find these cute white ones.  The

Looking for even more inspiration head on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and check out Melanie, Leanne, Tina and Lori's wonderful creations.

Welcome back to my blog friends! Today is my turn to host the brand new Challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We are on Challenge #303 and I would like to you to break out your METAL.  Now this is a challenge for me, they are stored nicely in my drawers but tend to forget that they are there.

My creation above is made using metal brown/white brads and the metal covering over the Happy Anniversary! The stamps are all from Stampin Up and I used the melon mambo ink/marker and old olive marker. The glitter is dazzling diamonds and the pearls.

Vacation Time

Hello! We are into the second week of June and can you believe it is almost Vacation time for all of the kids.  I realize that some schools have already started summer holidays but here we go until the June 28.

We have a brand new challenge for you this week at 4 Crafty Chicks! Tina has an amazing challenge for us to get us thinking about the summer.  Tina would like us to make a creation about Vacation for Challenge #302.  My fellow Chicks and our GDT have amazing inspiration waiting for you.

My card above is using the stamp - Riley which I just adore him. He has been colored using copic's, spellbinders for the rectangle and scalloped circle.  The Banner die is from Sizzix and it is very hard to see on the top picture but I do have clouds embossed on the white layer from Darcie.  All my paper is from Stampin Up and finally the ink is from Memento.

Come on over and share your vacation inspiration with us at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Cupcakes Delights Girl

Good morning! Well it has been another really busy week with appointments for the kids. It has been very beautiful here this past week. The big yellow circle in the sky sure has made me smile.  One of the best parts is we are seeing birds in our new home that we never had in the Millet house. They sure do like to twitter at 4 in the morning.

We are on Challenge #145 for Creative Knockouts this week and Kelly would like us to show off our Fancy Flourishes. Our sponsor for this week is Lemon Shortbread and they have kindly let me use Cupcakes Delights Girl to showcase to you this week. I love cupcakes and icing.  The whole time I was coloring this I was thinking "man I need to make one".
Prize: 3 Images

It's Your Day!

Hello my friends and thanks for visiting! I hope this last week has been a good one for you.  It has been an excellent one for me our middle son Robin got his license and our oldest son surprised us with a visit for a few days.  I really treasure those time, we get to spend with them. Next will be our daughter getting her Learner's.  Let's get to why you are really here.

Today is Thursday and 4 Crafty Chicks has a brand new challenge and a brand new Guest Designer.  Our guest designer for the month of June is Melanie from "mycraftysmell". Our talented hostess this week is Leanne.  For challenge #301 she would like use to create something Masculine.  I am so thankful that she choice this challenge because man, I tend to have problems doing these cards.

With Father's day coming up around the corner this was a perfect time for a masculine card. My inspiration for my card is from Stampin Cafe by Lana. I didn't have everything to create this so made some changes. I would like to try this card again. Below is another picture with a gift card in the front. On the inside is a personal message to my dad.
My fellow chicks in our hen house have some amazing and wonderful creation to inspire you. We would love it if you joined us at 4 Crafty Chicks with your Masculine creations. I need more inspiration friends.
