Can you believe we are on the last Thursday

of January. Now, some people

think that this month has taken forever to disappear

but to me it has just flown by.

January is a month with so many birthdays

in it family and friends.

It has been so much fun celebrating

them all!

This month has also had so many people

pass away suddenly and that has been really

hard on so many people.

My thoughts are with them all.

I used some of my favorite colors,

red, pink and brown.

The image is colored using

Copic Markers

Gina Marie Design Dies were used to highlight

the image on both the white and early espresso paper.

Rose Petal dies were used for the Happy Birthday

A Stampin' Up punch for the banners and white/early espresso paper and pearls.

The pattern paper is from Little Darlings Paper

I Remembered Your Birthday Without Looking on Facebook!

Happy Labor Day Monday!!!

It has been a really great long weekend. 

Still tough to believe it is September 3.

Our daughter starts

grade 11 tomorrow and it is hard to believe,

just how fast time is flying. 

It will be good to be back into a routine

for all of us. School has a way of doing that.

Today, I want to share my DT card

for The Project Bin.

I used two stamp sets

Born Yesterday and Fun is Good

It is really awesome using these

stamps that are so versatile with other ones.

Mixing and matching are so much fun.

This card was made as a surprise for my mom

from one of her friends. It was so much fun to play a little

trick on her, although she figured it out...Hee Hee.

This card is called a Double Dutch Fold Card

as it was a surprise,

it was fun to try a new fold. I will be making more of these.

You can lift the top flap and there is space for you to write.

The paper is from Little Darlings and SU

and the oval punches are from Stampin' Up.

Dazzling Diamonds glitter was used on the cupcake and cake.

What girl doesn't need a little glitter on her birthday!

Still working on taking pictures of my cards

with my phone. Sorry these are a little blurry.

Happy last Monday of July.

Where has this gorgeous summer month gone?

It has been a busy time of year but we are

enjoying being out in nature.

This time going out camping we will have our grandson, son, his girlfriend

and our daughter. We are hoping our oldest one

will make it out for a day or two.

Today, I am sharing a card that was made

using a stamp from the stamp set

The Project Bin

First, was to decide on my sentiment

which honestly was hard because

their are so many good ones from The Project Bin

Second, I decided on my pattern paper, which is from

Little Darling Papers. I just adore the patterns

and color combinations. It is one of my favorites.

Browns, pinks, green and white and then a card sketch by Liz Chidester.

The dies were easy as I wanted ovals

and I really like my double stitched ones from Gina Marie Designs.

Both the white and brown ovals are double stitched

and I added the pearls between the stitches on the brown.

Stampin' Up marker was used to color the cute image (certainly celery, pink pirouette) 

A scallop punch from Stampin' Up was used for create a border

on the bottom triangle.

The fish tale banners were hand cut.

The last thing I decided to do on this card was paper pierce around

the pink card stock.

A Balanced Diet...

Welcome to my blog this Monday morning!

It is my post day for The Project Bin

and today the set being highlighted is

Fun Is Good

I don't know about you but cupcakes are so awesome

and it is sure hard to stop at one.

Loving the idea of having a balanced diet with 

one in each hand.

The card above was made using Stampin' Up paper and

Little Darlings pattern paper. To add some texture a dauber

was used with Early Espresso ink to distress on the edges.

Also the texture on the pink is from a embossing folder

called from Cuttlebug. Gems and ribbon finish it off.

I believe the layout is from an old Mojo Monday sketch

but couldn't find it again on pinterest to share with you.
