A splash of color over at 4 Crafty Chicks and Prize Week.

Happy belated Christmas to everyone. It has been a busy one with family and friends.  We still hope to get to see a few more people during our time off. Can you believe that we are on the last Thursday of December already? The New Year is just around the corner, so I would like to take this opporunity now to say thank you to all of my followers, to everyone who has left a comment for making my blog what it is.  To my fellow 4 Crafty Chicks, I want to say thank you so much for continuing to inspire me each week with the fantastic challenges. For your patience and just for being the best to work with. Thank you for making this one of the better parts of 2012 for me.

We are on challenge #122 and Lori is our hostess.  She has come up with a splash of color for us and really I love these colors.  I do believe that I would love to color an image like my fellow DT Leanne did.

Here is my creation for this week.  It is a pretty plain card but it could be used for a birthday or a wedding card.  The picture doesn't show it but the Wisteria Wonder is darker than it looks.

This is the prize offered up for this month

I would love to enter my card into
Make It Monday -  #121 -Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everyone - #10 - Anything Goes

Make Your Own Pattern Paper at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning! Last night we went to our daughters Christmas concert and it was truly amazing.  Just one more thing to add to the Christmas excitement.  Can you believe it is only 5 days away.  Shopping is on my agenda today, since we have all been sick.  You know this bug hangs on for a while, I am running out of energy faster than I can make it...LOL.  :) Enough complaining, the positive is that I am not stuck in bed still.

Today is Thursday and that means a brand new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I am the lucky hostess.  This challenge is one that I don't do very often but I had such a fun time creating the pattern paper.  I used two individual stamps out of the same bell set. It is not too often that I use the whole stamp set to create a card...LOL. My fellow DT's rocked it out of the ball park.

CHALLENGE #121 - MAKE YOUR OWN PATTERN PAPER!
(it can be stamps, cheese cloth, brayers etc)

This card was created for one of the board members at my husbands work.  I create 28 individual cards each year, this was one of my last ones.  Hope they will like it.
I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:
Make It Monday -  #120 -Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everyone - #9 - Anything Goes

We really hope that you are able to find a little bit of time to come and create with us.  I hope that this week can bring you peace and happiness as we head towards Christmas Day.  Come join us at 4 Crafty Chicks we truly would love to see what you create.

May peace, joy and laughter be with you this week, as times can be stressful.  I plan to sing when I can't handle it .  Music is good for the soul.

You're Invited at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good Evening! Sorry, my post for 4 Crafty Chicks in a few days late.  My whole family so far with the exception of my wonderful husband have been dealing with the flu/cold virus for the last few weeks.   I have been without a voice for quiet a few days, my vocal cords, throat and chest hurt so badly. Not to mention the high fever, headaches, aches in my back, coughing and being sick to my stomach.  My kids might have enjoyed me not being able to talk...but now my voice is back...well not completely but enough to annoy them...LOL.  We are all still dragging from it. We taught our kids to share just a little too well *wink*. So as I am typing this, may the healthy force be with you. This isn't anything I would wish upon anyone.

The plus side is that I felt good enough last night and today to work for short periods of time, on getting my craftroom cleaned up. We had a new furnace put in, but the mess from drilling and all of the saw dust in my craft stuff was enough to make a person want to scream.  It took me more than a couple of hours to clean it up, but now my craft area is awful pretty :). Even did a little bit of reorganizing...thanks Lori :)

Over at 4 Crafty Chicks, on Thursday we had a new challenge brought to us by none other than Miss. Melissa!  For Challenge #120 she asked to make an Invitation.

CHALLENGE #120 - YOU'RE INVITED

Tonight, clean and simple came to mind while making this card.  I got to break out something new and a few old things. When this challenge came up, there was some worry for me because I didn't think I had any kind of sentiment to go with this challenge.  While cleaning, I came across this older Stampin Up set called Lots of Thoughts!  Wahoooooo....it saved the day and worked like a charm. It is good to have a true challenge because you never know what hidden treasures you have in your craft room until you start looking :) Thanks Melissa.

Recipe:
Stamps: Lots of Thoughts (Stampin Up)
Ink: Bravo Burgandy
Paper: Cranberry Crisp, Basic Grey and Whisper White
Accessories: button, twine, (stampin up products)- large tag punch, basic grey satin ribbon and Chevron embossing folder, stampin dimensionals.

Can you believe that there is only one week left until Christmas? Yikes...I am not even close to being done.  Here is too some power shopping this next week :)

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for this wonderful challenge! I would love to hop over to your blog and get to see your inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to share my card with me.  Please stay safe and healthy this week!

Snowmen Are So Cute!

Hello everyone! Are you ready for a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks?  We have a new Guest Designer for the month of December and her name is Roberta and boy I can't wait to see what she has in store for us.  Please pop on over to give her a huge welcome. Our awesome hostess with the mostess this week is Leanne! She has come up with a wonderful idea for Challenge #119.  Can you guess what it might be......?  Okay I will give it up...our challenge is at 4 Crafty Chicks.

CHALLENGE #119 - SNOWMEN
There are so many different kinds of snowmen in digi's, stamps, cloth and so much more.  It is one of my other fav's this time of year.  I must say I go gaga for snowmen ornaments...oh they are so cute and it would be so much fun to squish them if you could.

Here is my creation.  I got to use this stamp set from Cynthia, isn't it just adorable.  Now it is hard to see that I have dazzling diamonds on the snowballs, hats and ear muffs :)  I truly thought the picture showed it better than this. Loving these colors together too.  All products used on this card are from Stampin Up!

I would love to enter my card into the following challenges:
Make It Monday - Anything Goes
Challenges 4 Everyone - Anything Goes

Christmas is coming fast and unfortunately I don't have much of my shopping done. Will have to make time for that but being able to help my friend Lori move some stuff into her new house and watch my sons basketball game yesterday were highlights. The absolute best part is Friday not just because it is the start to the weekend but because I will get my stitches out! Yahoooo!

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks, I hope our challenge will inspire you.  I love getting the chance to know you from your blogs.

Thanks for sharing my creation with me :)  Have a wonderful day!!

Ornaments at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning everyone! As I am typing this my Christmas tunes are playing.  Walking in a Winter Wonderland is the perfect tune for this morning.  A cup of hot chocolate will be in order later on today as it is just a tad chilly. What is your favorite Winter drink?

Today we have a new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and I am the lucky one to host it.  I love this time of year with the up beat Christmas songs and when you walk into the stores not only do you see chocolate but you see tons and tons of ornaments.

Challenge # 118 - ORNAMENTS
(paper, stamps, glass etc)

Here is my simple Christmas tree ornament.  I used several thin pieces of paper that I folded to put inside.  Then I added white Rub-Ons from Stampin Up on the outside.  It sure doesn't take long and is a little something for one of Kaitlyn's teachers.

Make It Monday #117- Anything Goes and Challenges 4 Everybody #8-Anything Goes are a few challenges that I would love to enter my ornament into.

Leanne, Lori and Melissa sure have a some inspiration to share with you, so please make sure you pop by 4 Crafty Chicks to share some love. Be sure to share your creations with us. I just love coming to visit your blogs.

Today is report card day for Robin and Kaitlyn it will be interesting to see how they are doing at their new school.  Hopefully we can get everyone in school for the last day this week :)  Be safe and stay warm.

Tropical Destination over at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning all! Well it is snowing here and I can't seem to get warm.  It isn't even as cold as it usually is here in Alberta.  Lori is our wonderful hostess this week at 4 Crafty Chicks! She really has a heart warming idea to help us out and dream about something warm with our chilly temperatures.

CHALLENGE #117 - TROPICAL DESTINATION

My creation this week is one of my favorite Riley's and truly one of my first ones I got a chance to buy.  The Palm trees remind me of a couple of trips one to Mexico and one to Florida...don't mind saying a trip back to either one would be wonderful.  I went with Cherry Cobbler because really that would be the color of my skin (LOL) and the Daffodil delight is for me the warm and beautiful sun.  My sentiment would be one normally used for Christmas but I was thinking why couldn't I use it for a holiday card, letting someone know to enjoy there holiday.  Let me know if you don't think it works.  Other than that it is a pretty clean and simple card.  Thank you so much Lori for a wonderful challenge...way warmer than my Winter one last week. Hopefully it is a creation you would like too.

I would love to enter this little guy at Make It Monday - Anything Goes!

Come and join us for some Tropical fun at 4 Crafty Chicks! We love seeing your creations.  Be sure to check out our what my fellow DT's have this week.

My quote for this week is one that my friend Lori posted on her facebook and was one I needed to see.  Hope you enjoy it.

Winter meets 4 Crafty Chicks

Walking in a Winter Wonderland....love this song! It is fitting for how our outdoors look.  The trees are gorgeous.  There are ups and downs to winter but for the most part there are things I love about it too.  One of my favorites is being in a cozy pair of jammies with a cup of hot chocolate and a good book or crafting makes for a great day when the temperatures are in the deep freeze.

This week it is my turn to be hostess at 4 Crafty Chicks. We are on Challenge #116 - WINTER is the theme.  So please pop on over to show us what you got.

My creation this week is clean and simple and it is one of those Christmas cards that would be easy to mail.  All products on here is from Stampin Up!

Sorry you can't really see the sentiment but it is there...LOL.  Should have went with a darker color.
I would love to enter this into the following challenge at Make It Monday-Anything Goes!

Please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks...I would love to see what this challenge inspires in you!

Getting Sketchy over at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning from a very blustery and snowy central Alberta! Yesterday was quite a day going to the city to renew our passports.  It was snowing, blowing and crazy slow going but it was a great day spent with my mom and dad.  Who know exactly what the weather holds today but regardless, I have to go out.

I am super glad to announce that it is Thursday and over at 4 Crafty Chicks we have another fun filled challenge for you. As for last weeks entrants, I will apologize for not leaving any comments, it sure wasn't for the lack of trying, for some reason hardly any of them were accepted. The creations were unique and amazing.  Melissa is our hostess-with-the-mostess and she has come up with a fabby sketch for us all to get crafty with.

 CHALLENGE #115
Here is my card.  While making this card, I got the chance to cyber craft with my pal Lori.  This is so much fun but often wish you could add more people and have a cyber craftying party *wink*.  If you can't see one another at least we have cyber space right?  This sketch screamed texture for me and I hopefully gave you some texture to enjoy. It was a good opportunity to make another Christmas card for my hubbies work.
I would love to enter my card over at these fabulous challenges:
Make It Monday  #114-Anything Goes.
Papertake Weekly Challenge - Anything Goes
Crafty Creations Challenge #195- No flowers (boy did I get giddy when I saw this one...no flower just a snowflake :)
Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge Blog #101 - Lots of layers (this sketch screamed for layers :)
thanks for the awesome challenges ladies :)

My fellow DT's and our Guest Designer Erin have truly amazing creations to share with you this week.  Please be sure to stop by 4 Crafty Chicks to see their master pieces. While you are their please don't forget to join us.  We truly love seeing what you create and share with us each week.

A Day To Remember at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good Morning! Well it is official, it is the first day of November.  We had so much fun seeing all of the great costumes last night and the little ones are so precious.

Can you think of a better way to celebrate the 1st of November than with a new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks?  Leanne is our wonderful hostess this week and she is supplying us with the idea for our challenge.  With the start of November we have another amazing Guest Designer  joining 4 Crafty Chicks and her name is Erin Gonzales.  She has some tons of inspiration to share with us.

CHALLENGE #114 - A DAY TO REMEMBER

The card I made for this challenge is clean and simple.  My friend Helen asked me to make a card for her but it needed to be a birthday card and it couldn't be too thick or layered as she had to mail it to Wales. She was thinking of a dear friend who was turning 50 and she just really wanted her know that she remembered her special day.  A spellbinder was used with a dauber to create a shadowed frame behind the flowers.  Ink, stamp and paper are from Stampin Up.

I would love to enter my clean and simple card into Make It Monday #113 - Anything Goes.

One thing I forgot to mention is that we had some totally spooky and just awesome creations over at 4 Crafty Chicks this last week.  You all made it so hard to chose because the coloring, layouts, inspiration were so fabulous.  Please pop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks we would love to see what you have for us this week and I would love to come and visit your blog.

Not sure where I saved this picture from but I thought was good.

Have an amazing week and thank you for stopping by to share in my creation this week.

Halloween and Prize Week at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Helllloooo! How is everyone doing?  We have had cool temperatures and parts of Alberta have received quite a bit of snow.  Here in small town Millet we have a wee bit of snow, really more of a dusting so far.  The wind has been super chilly through so it is beginning to feel a lot like winter.  This morning it really was chilly and one of those mornings where you think "if I get out of bed I am going to freeze, maybe I should just snuggle in a little deeper".

So today is Thursday and you know what that means! Another new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Thank you so much to all of the fabulous crafters who played with us last week.  You made our job super hard this week to pick the winners, please keep bringing on the inspiration.

At 4 Crafty Chicks this week our beautiful and fun filled crafting hostess is Lori.  We are on Challenge #113 and since it is almost that time of year where we have little munchkin's and big ones walking up to our houses yelling "trick or treat". Lori would like us to show what inspires of about "Halloween".
CHALLENGE #113 -HAPPY HALLOWEEN

The prize this month is offered up to us by Melissa be sure to check it out!

Here is my inspiration for this challenge. Isn't this fun, really not much stamping and everything used here is from Stampin Up, punches, daubers, white pen, stamp.  Playing with all of these circles really make for a fun creation.  Sometimes I forget that you can make something so cool like this by just using different kinds of punches or one style of punch. My very good friend Lori, shared this idea with a quite a few us and oh did we have so much fun making them.  Thanks girlie.

Tip: Break out the punches, you don't always need stamps to make a fabulous or fun filled creation. Circle punches and other punches are so versatile.

It has been more than a long while since I have had a chance to enter into the following challenge sites.  So lucky me that my card fits into their challenges this week.

Stampin' Royalty #147 - Halloween

Tip Top Tuesday #88 - Halloween (Tip above my picture)

Creative Belli Challenge # 155 - Halloween

Please come and join us for our fun filled challenge.  We love visiting you from 4 Crafty Chicks and each week we look forward to the difficult choice of picking our TOP 3.  Also I just love getting to know you all by coming to visit your blog.

Here is a picture for this week that made me laugh.  I used to love the these guys.  Hope it makes you smile too.  It is from  Just Feelin Good photo's, on facebook.

Dry Embossing at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Happy Thursday all! Do you know it is the next best day to Friday?  Thursdays can get a bad rap but I like them.  It is almost the weekend and it is our new challenge day over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  It is my lucky week also because I get to host the challenge.  Man were the creations last week ever inspiring.  My jaw hit the ground more times than I could count with all of the fabulous creations.

Onto this weeks fun challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We are wanting you to add texture to your creations thru dry embossing.  It is frequently said on my blog that I am in love with my embossing folders and well truly I am...LOL.

Here is my creation. The emobssing folder used is Holiday Frame, the stamp is from Joyous Celebrations.  The paper is Core'dination Card Stock made for sanding.  These are some new products from Stampin Up.  I do believe it is all fabby.

I am entering my card into Make It Monday #111 - Anything Goes

Another busy week here at my house but one super and very exciting thing that happened is my new fridge arrived yesterday!! One more thing that had to be replacrf but it still was like and early Christmas present...LOL.  It is funny how something like that can make your day.  However they have said the (s***) word again for this weekend.  How is that every year I know it is going to come but it happens that I am never ever ready...LOL. Oh well might as well prepare for the inevitable.

Please come on out and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks, we would love to have you and see what this challenge inspires in you.

Tag Your It at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good Morning crafting peeps!  Well what an exciting day yesterday...we received our first snowfall.  It was so chilly and really it called for candles, hot chocolate and soup to make one feel all toasty warm :)  It was a hunker down and stay inside kind of day :)

Thank you so much to everyone who played in our Thanksgiving challenge, the inspiration was rockin!  We have a new challenge for you this week and our hostess is Melissa.  She has given us a wonderful challenge and my fellow DT's have fantastic inspirations to share with you over at 4 Crafty Chicks.

CHALLENGE #111 - TAG YOUR IT!

Here is my creation for our challenge!  I got a chance to make it with my mom and it was sure super fun to play with a whole bunch of the new Stampin Up goodies.  Cynthia has this great tag die cut from Stampin Up and it was totally perfect for this challenge.  Thanks Cynthia for the wonderful fun and letting us use all of your crafting tools.  This card was cased from her but I made a few changes to make it my own.  The fun part is the great mittens and the texture on the card stock.  Who would know that it would be snowing and my card now fits perfectly with the weather. Bring on my first Christmas card for the season.  Whoop, Whoop!

I would love to enter my card into the following fabulous challenge:

CHALLENGE #110 - THANKSGIVING

I was so excited to get even more fall colors out and oh to use this Verve Stamp.  In my opinion it was the perfect sentiment for this challenge.  Out came the punches, spellbinders, pearls and papers and poof this is what was created.

Things to be thankful for are god, my family, friends, our health and the beauty all around me.  I am also grateful for everyone who leaves comments here to keep inspiring me to create more and to everyone in blogger land who has supports me weekly by stopping in and sharing in my creativeness.

The weeks are just flying but today is Thursday and you know what that means a brand new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our beautiful and very talented hostess with the mostess is Lori.  She has an amazing challenge for us.  I never really thought about doing a card like this but what a blast.  Just another reason why I love creating with my DT pals.  Thanks Lori for getting me to step out of the box.

CHALLENGE #109 - HEALTH AND FITNESS
and
PRIZE WEEK

We sure have lucked out with beautiful fall weather this last week.  It has been great to be outside. The kids in my communities and others are all out riding those bikes.  My orginal idea for my card was another fruit card with a heart on it but then I remembered that my mom had a set of Stampin Up stamps that had a bike, super perfect for this challenge.  So well my mom is gone to visit my auntie, I got to borrow a few stamps and punches (hee hee hee).

Can you believe it is already the last week of  September? Since it is the last week it is our PRIZE week.  Our lovely Leanne has supplied us with a prize for this week.  Be sure to come and play, you could win this :)

Last weekend was crazy busy with working a Casino for two days it was tons of fun with all of the wonderful people but boy was a just a tad tired.  Oh, hopefully I don't jinx this weekend but so far we don't have too much going on other than our oldest son going to play in his first high school volleyball tournament and it is 4 hours away from home.  It would be so much fun to take one full day and just create cards and it would be fabulous to get ahead on my DT work :)  I would love to enter this card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for an amazing challenge! We love to see what you create.

Who doesn't love Leaves!

Good morning all! We have another new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks and well I am the lucky hostess with the mostess.  The last few days we have had amazing weather although very cool at night and super windy during the day. The tree's are changing and every day we have a few more beautiful leaves on the ground.  It is thinking of these right colors and oh really the scenery is stunning.  It makes me want to sit outside, with a blanket and a good old cup of hot chocolate.

My card was created using a Verve stamp set because I just love the leaves.  The sentiment is awesome too.  The colors are old olive, daffodil delight, cajun craze, early espresso and cherry cobbler.  It is clean and simple but I truly hope you enjoy the design.
I would love to enter my card into Make it Monday - anything goes

Life has gotten so busy with volleyball, Tae Kwon-Do, and soon swimming will start.  A few doctors appointments and looking to add some more dentist appointments.  Truly, I need to learn how to balance my life and do some cleaning out of toxic people. It really is playing havoc in my life and my creativity. Clean and simple seems to be the way to go for me lately but hopefully one day soon I can come up with something truly inspired or just a little more fancy...hee hee.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun filled challenge.  We would love to see them and I love, love, love coming to visit.

Thank you so much popping in and sharing in my creation.  Huggers!

Back to School at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning everyone! What a week I have had with the back to school excitement already.  On Monday I registered my oldest Tristan for High School.  All day I kept going how the heck did this happen...LOL.  For the last three days I have been on the phone and in at the school trying to fix his schedule so he won't go crazy from the work load and neither will we.  He had English, Science, Social and Math in the first semester and then Biology 20 in the second semester along with Foods, Mechanics, Fabrication, Calm and Phys. Ed.  Well I can finally say HOPEFULLY that we have it fixed with managing now not to take correspondence for a few courses and that he has two core courses in each semester. YAHOOOOOO!! The volleyball schedule he has is insane and we just started tryoutS! I still don't know what my other two are doing this year for extra curricular activities. It is going to be a great year.  Still have to do a little back to school shopping for my middle son then I am done.  Robin and Kaitlyn will have their first day at the new school on Tuesday.  Let the fun begin... :)  Still not sure where summer went but onwards and upwards they say....not sure who said that...LOL.

Today at 4 Crafty Chicks we have a new challenge.  It is our Crazy Egg challenge and we also have a fabulous prize for a lucky winner that is drawn by random.org.  Lori is putting up the wonderful prize this month.  Thanks Lori.

Challenge #105 this week is BACK TO SCHOOL!

My fabulous partners in crafting have created some truly awesome designs.  Be sure to check them out.  Also make sure to stop by Ann's blog as this is her last challenge for us this month.  Her inspiration knows no bounds and is truly amazing.

Here is my clean and simple card.  The stamp is Tart & Tangy by Stampin Up.  The paper is whisper white and real red.  Markers: garden green, chocolate chip and real red.  Two circle punches and scallop punch made by Stampin Up.  I didn't have much in my stash but I thought the apples would work good.

An update on my blanket by the time morning comes, I should be done crocheting it and then I just need to sew in way too many ends...LOL.  I am proud to finally finish a craft I started many years ago.  Now to finish a few others...LOL.  Thanks Lori for the dare it sure did help!!  Picture to follow after I get the ends sewn in.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  We love seeing what you all share with us each week.  Can't wait to stop by and say hi!!

To my fellow followers thank you so much for your support, it means the world.

Thanks to anyone who has taken to time to stop in and share my card with me.

Sketch Time!!

HAPPY THRUSDAY MORNING YA ALL!  Hope you all had a good sleep last night, I needed more but all and all no complaints.  So before I get to 4 Crafty Chicks new challenge there is something that I would like to share.  Last week my buddy oh pal Lori came for a crafting visit and well we broke out our crocheting.  As we worked Lori asked me how many rows were left?  There was 30 and and then she challenged me to get it done last weekend.  Well that didn't quite happen but now it is fun to report that there is only 13 left.  Super excited to try and complete a project that was way to long in the making...LOL....LOL.  Picture to follow of the completed afghan hopefully it will be soon :)

Thank you so much too everyone who played our Circle challenge last week.  It was way to hard to pick just three.  Please keep bringing it!!  Our beautiful hostess with the mostess this week is Lori and she has an awesome sketch challenge for us.  Thanks Lori for the amazing sketch, it was super fun to create with it. WHOOT, WHOOT!

CHALLENGE #104 - SKETCH

Ah, now here is my creation with this wonderful sketch.  Yep, you see the Echo Park (Walk in the Park) pattern paper again, I do believe that I am in love with this paper...LOL.   I used three punches from Stampin Up, also Stampin Up buttons, espresso brown marker, cherry cobbler ink and felt flowers.  The stamp set is also from Stampin Up Teeny Tiny Wishes??.
It is a clean and simple card but one that was oh so much fun to make.  I wasn't sure about taking the picture of the card with a white background so here is one with a black back ground. The border was my husband's idea. I think it helped to make a frame of the main part to the sketch.  Butterflies were punched out to go in the top right hand corner but they just didn't seem to fit.  Off I went to my forgotten stash drawer and I think the felt flowers turned out okay.
This last week has been filled with back to school shopping, one done two left to go*oy*. The stores are just way too busy for me.  How about you?

I would love to enter my card into the Make It Monday - Anything Goes challenge.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun filled challenge.  I can't wait to pop on over to your blog to see your creation.

Thank you for sharing my card with me.  Have an amazing day!!

Circles Anyone?

Hey ya all! How is everyone doing this Thursday morning?  Me, I am doing good waiting for my good buddy Lori to come and craft with me.  Not sure if we will make cards, crochet or maybe we will do both.  The best thing is that we get to just spend some down time together.  What a week we had last week Tristan was at volleyball/basketball camp all week, then we had a family reunion that lasted the whole weekend.  I truly met some really amazing ladies.  Also this weekend we found out that my Uncle and Aunt were in a very bad car accident, so we are sending tons of love out to them and praying for their health and a speedy recovery.

Onto our new challenge for the week at 4 Crafty Chicks.  It was my week to pick the challenge and well circles, circles and more circles came to mind.  I can remember when I was younger having circles drawn all over everything.  I put designs in them, made faces and loved cutting them out.  Another fun fact is that when you are blowing bubbles and you look just the right way you can see a picture in them of whatever is behind you.  The picture underneath is from our holidays in 2011.  If you look at the bubble the scene in it is a picture of the water, trees and rocks behind us, not the trees in the back ground of this picture.  When we saw this we tried to snap so many pictures because it was amazing and beautiful.  Alas this is probably the clearest one. Sure wish I could blow it up for you.  Hope you like it.

CHALLENGE #103 - CIRCLES, CIRCLES AND MORE CIRCLES

Onto my card full of circles.  The pattern paper I used is Walk in the Park from Echo Park???  Both stamp sets are from Stampin Up, the one on the left is Tangy and Tart.  Not sure of the other stamp set.  Pattern paper with circles, embossed white paper with circles, my stamps are circles, 4 different circle punches and the gems. I tried to out do myself with the most circles to be used on one of my cards and yes my goal was accomplished.  At first I struggled with the layout but after walking away from it for a while, I came back and was satisfied.  Oh and it has been a while since I broke out the gems and well it seem I went gem crazy...LOL.
I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - #102 Anything Goes and The ABC Challenge - V for Vanish (my vanishing is pop ups behind my cherry flower with Thanks so much)

My fellow DT's have some super amazing inspiration for you this week. Be sure to stop by 4 Crafty Chicks and see what Lori, Leanne, Melissa and Ann have created. I can't wait to see what our Circle challenge inspires in you!!

Thank you to everyone who has popped in to share in my creation and too all of my followers and anyone who comments you are all truly appreciated.  Have a blessed day :)

Up, Up and Away at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good morning peeps!  I hope this post finds everyone doing well.  Last night we had another wicked storm, where we lost power.  Of course I was on my computer changing up some stuff on my post when we lost power and find out this morning that I lost my whole post.  Ha Ha....I don't remember exactly what I put but a short little story was being added.  Now this is going to be a quick post as I am running up to Edmonton to take my son to his volleyball/basketball camp.  He is so sore this morning he can hardly walk...guess he is getting prepared for the start of the season here soon.

We have another fabulous challenge this week at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our hostess with the mostess is Melissa.  Our new GDT, Lori, Leanne and Melissa have really wonderful inspiration for you to see.

CHALLENGE #102: UP, UP AND AWAY
(plane, birds, butterflies, balloon etc...)

Here is my take on the challenge.
Oh man time is running out and still have to get lunch and breakfast made for my boy today.  When I get back I will finish my post properly...LOL.  One crazy Thursday morning it is.

This card is being entered into the following challenge Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Please come join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for another fun filled challenge.

Thanks for the challenge Melissa!
Thank you so much to my followers and who ever pops by for a peek at my card.

Distressing with 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Morning to ya all! Happy first week of August...oh man where is the time going?  We are onto another fun challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our very talented host this week is the one the only Leanne.  She has challenged us to something fun and really something very easy.

CHALLENGE #101 - DISTRESSING

Here is my creation.  I was super excited about this challenge because I could break out my new Tim Holtz (sp??) distressing tool.  It was messy oh but so much fun.  Leanne is a Distressing queen in my books, she gets those tears and rough edges just perfect each time.  Lori and Melissa are also Distressing queens with their daubers, oh to shade like they do.  All in all my adventure with this new tool was worth the purchase and look on the card.  Wish my camera showed it better in this picture.  Oh and this is my first ever Tilda...saweeet.    I used two kinds of pattern papers, Early Espresso, Whisper White (ribbon and paper).  Three Stampin Up punches, one Stampin Up Stamp, Copics, pearls and gems.

Please come on out and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for this wonderful challenge.  Show us what it inspires in you. Can't wait to see what everyone has created.

Have a wonderful week.

Challenge #99 at 4 Crafty Chicks

Good Morning blogger land!!! Today is Thursday and we at 4 Crafty Chicks have another rockin challenge. Can you believe that we are already on Challenge #99....I am truly super excited about this.  This week I am the hostess with the mostess and I look forward to challenging you to think "outside the box".

So this last week has been filled with tons of family fun.  We surprised my mom by having my sister, her kids and my brother and his kids here together in the same room for the first time in 9 years.  We even got my grandma to come out.  Then we had a family reunion with my other brothers and sisters. My family has been extremely lucky to have my sister and her family with us for some crafty time.  Sad to say my niece missed this as she had to go back to Victoria to work :( :( .

CHALLENGE #99 - MAKE (CREATE) A BOX
You can make a box from scratch and decorate it
or
you can decorate a box that has already been made.

This challenge was super hard for me as I had a mental block about actually making a box on my own.  In the past with my stamping group Lori helped me and also gave me tons of instructions.  So as I was admonishing myself for picking this kind of challenge and trying to find other ways around it...LOL :)  I went onto to the web and found an easy peasy box recipe from Dawn's Stamping Studio.  So yes I had instruction but I did do it myself...LOL.  My sister was here and she not a crafty gal...but to appease me she broke out the paper to start creating a box with me.  Just to let you know this was her VERY first paper craft EVER!!!  Enough of my blabbing I will show you my take on this challenge.

I have decided with this mini pizza box to make it a Worry Box, where you can write your worries down and leave them in the box.  My box has some texture with dry embossing and paper piercing on it.

Here is my sisters take on my challenge.  Apparently for a first timer she should pick up the scissors, glue gun, ribbon and gems more often.  She had a blast using my punches and trying to using my spellbinders...after asking many times what is this and how do I use it???  Super glad to have her first creation be with me.  Can't wait to see how her family and my mom react...LOL.  Now how on earth can I get her to start a blog??? and create with us gals.  My sister box she has decided will be a Dream Box, where you keep a copy of the dreams you would like to fulfill.

Leanne, Lori, Melissa and Judy have some really stunning boxes to share with you. Hope you will be able to come and play with us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week.  Can't wait to see what this challenge inspires in you.

I would like to enter these boxes into Make It Monday - Anything Goes.  It always has tons of inspiration for you too see.

Thank you so much for stopping by.

Challenge #98 at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good morning! Wow this last week we have been living in a heat wave....with the temperatures as high as +34.  However, in the middle of the night we did have a crazy thunder storm that lasted for over 1 hour.  I don't mind say that I am MELLLTING!!!

Can you believe that we are on Challenge # 98 at 4 Crafty Chicks?  Our wonderfully talented hostess for this week is Melissa.  She has come up with such a wonderful challenge for us.  The best part is you can use paper, ribbon, stamps, embossing folders to create this look.  Are you ready to find out what it is?

CHALLENGE #98 - STRIPES

Here is my creation.  It was made having a fun day with Lori.  She once again let me use some of her new supplies. The stamp was from My Favorite Things and the flower was a die cut from My Favorite Thing and the felt from the flower were also from My Favorite Things.  The designer paper was from Echo Park and the black and white paper is from Stampin Up!!

So please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for our newest challenge.  Lori, Leanne, Melissa, Judy (GDT) and myself love it when you join us.

On a sad note it has been almost a week since my darling husband Rob's dear grandma passed away.  She would have turned 93 the very next day. She was an amazing woman someone that others could look up too and aspire to be like one day.  Her generosity will always be remembered, her big heart and the way she never judged anyone.  Thanks you so much Grandma for loving my husband, myself and our family whole heartily.  We are sure glad you knew that we loved you back!!

Thank you everyone stopping by to share in my card and our new challenge over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Hope to see you there this week.

RED and WHITE at 4 Crafty Chicks!

Holy smokes! I came on here this morning ready to link my card to 4 Crafty Chicks and nope there was nothing.  So off I went looking for my scheduled post and it was no where to be found.  Off I went running up stairs to talk with my husband Rob since I was completely frustrated. He figures that when our internet shuts down at night that it didn't actually save or schedule my post (I had just finished it when it was blocked).  We have blocked our internet service for our family from a certain time to a certain time to start controlling how much they are on it; so that means for me get my post done a little earlier...LOL.  I must say I thought my post was a fabulous one last night.  Not sure if I can repeat it but let's see!

Good morning fellow bloggers.  I hope where ever you are that it is sunny.  We have blue skies here this morning and no wind; boy does it cheer a person up.  Today, is Thursday and you know what that means another fabulous challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our hostess for this week is our fabulous Leanne from Banking on Crafts.  She has picked an easy color challenge for us and they are colors that I love to work with.  What a wonderful way to start off the month of July with this color combo.  We also have a new Guest Designer this month and her name is Judy!!  My fellow chicks (Leanne, Lori and Melissa) have some really incredible inspiration for everyone.

CHALLENGE #97 - RED AND WHITE

When reading what our challenge was I immediately knew what kind of card I was going to make.  Making wedding cards is one of my favorite things to do.  I must admit my friend Lori has a congratulations stamp that I thought would look better on here so I just might be looking to buy one more stamp set...LOL. My paper is Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White; Ink: Cherry Cobbler; Accessories: butterfly punch, cherry cobbler seam binding, heart punch (SU), scalloped punch and circle punch (SU), butterfly punch (MS), pearls and two cuttlebug folders.

I would like to enter my card at Make It Monday - Anything Goes

Nope this post isn't as good as last nights but I think it is okay...LOL.  Last night I had the gift of gab on here...LOL.  Thank you so much Leanne for the wonderful challenge this week at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Please come join us for our challenge this week.  I look forward to stopping by your blogs and sharing in your creations.  Please have a fabulous week!!!

School's Out at 4 Crafty Chicks

Helloooooooooo! Where has the week gone? What have you been up too? Me, well I have spent the better part of the week gutting out stuff from my house, laundry and driving my oldest son around to different towns.  He is a soccer Referee and oh is he loving making money.  The best part is the quiet time I get to have to think and work on a bible study.  In case I don't get on here by Sunday, I want to say a huge Happy Canada Day to my family, friends and all Canadians out in blogger land.

It is Thursday so you know what that means.  Another wonderful challenge for us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our very talented hostess for this week is Lori.  It is an awesome challenge and one that many of us already do so it should be easy peazy.

Challenge #96 - SCHOOL'S OUT!!

My kids were out of school on June 15 but many school's around our area were not out until yesterday.  Two of my friends (fellow chicks) Lori's and Melissa's children were out of school yesterday.  So now we can all jump for joy and enjoy our summer.

My card is one that I made for one of Kaitlyn's teachers.  That week was so busy so clean and simple was the way to go.  This card is made using Rub-Ons.  At one point and time I had to buy almost everyone that Stampin Up came out with...LOL.  Sadly, they get forgotten in my crafting drawer.

I would love to enter my card into Make It Monday - Anything Goes!

Please hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks and see what my fellow Design Team members have created for us this week.  Come join us for this fun challenge.  It is so much fun to see what you create and coming to see so many fabulous blogs.
