Stitching it Up with 4 Crafty Chicks!

Good Thursday morning to you! As I am typing this it is windy out with blue skies. This I hope will brighten my mood. Last night my soccer team played in their final game in order to go to provincials. They played with the heart and soul of warriors. The good news is we won 3-1 and continued on our winning streak. The bad new is that even though we have only lost two games all season and we won our game last night we lost our bid to go to provincials, because the other team scored one goal on us last night. My kids are heartbroken. Our outstanding season ended with us having won 12 games and lossing 2. We played in a tournament where we took gold and never lost a game. Total of 18 games with a record of 16 wins and two losses. We were the only team in the league with 2 losses all the rest had 4 or more. So as a coach I am soooooo proud of them and sadden for them too. They are my hero's for playing so hard and just being outstanding winner's last night. To me they are still the best in our league.

Enough of my blabbing about my soccer team. What you would really like to see is our new challenge from 4 Crafty Chicks. Now this month has 5 Thursdays in it so you know what that means. It is a crazy egg challenge. Melissa is putting up the prize for this month. What is our challenge?

CHALLENGE #44 - STITCHING

Here is my card. The paper, pen, ribbon and ink are all from Stampin Up. The stamp is from Verve. My fellow DT members Melissa, Leanne and Lori did actual stitching. I couldn't not find my needle so that I could hand stitch my card so I went for Faux stitching. I am going to be hunting for my sewing box...guess it is one of my unused treasures...LOL Now my color combo is a little crazy I must admit but my kids thought I should try really colorful...LOL. It is another clean and simple card with some added layers.

I would like to enter my card into the Tip Top challenge this week. There challenge is "T is for...". So my sentiment starts with the letter T. Great challenge ladies.

So come on out and see us at 4 Crafty Chicks. I would love to stop bye your blog and see what kind of stitching inspiration you have. Hugs to all and have a wonderful Long Weekend.

To all of my fellow Canadian friends and bloggers have a HAPPY CANADA DAY!!!

Chicks Stick Together at PPC!

Goooood Monday morning everyone! It was such an amazing weekend. We were at a 4 Crafty Chicks (just the DT's) retreat for the whole weekend and man was it fun, fun, fun. It had great food, awesome craft time and a whole bunch of giggles who could ask for more.

Today is our new challenge over at Picture Perfect Creations. Megan has given us a fun, fun color combo this week (Poppy Parade, Whisper White and Basic Grey). I used my friends Kenny K to create this card with a sentiment that says Chicks stick together *love it*. I added bling to her and on the side to help give the card a little something, something.

Here is my card. She is hip with a little bit of a sassy look. The embossing folder was also Leanne's and I must say I love, love, love it. The pattern paper, paper and punches, and some of the markers are from Stampin up. I also used Copic's for the skin color and hair.

Come on out to PPC and show us your inspiration, we would love to have you play and come to see your blog. My fellow DT's have some rockin inspiration this week to share with you so make sure you share some love with them too.

Today holds our first game in playoff's for soccer but before that I will be going to school to help out with the final hot lunch of the year. Can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of school. I can't wait for Wednesday, my only sleep in day for the next month.

Have an amazing day! Can't wait to come and see you :)

Clean and Simple for 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good Thursday morning to you all! Today is another beautiful day with the sun shining and the birds chirping up a storm. Another busy game here for me today, getting ready for a weekend of crafting with my Design Team...doesn't get better than that but before I get there we have one more league game and then we are in the play-offs for the trophy and then hopefully provincials.

Enough of my blah, blah blahing. Thanks to all who played in our get well soon challenge. Your inspiration was just so fabby. This week at 4 Crafty Chicks our hostess with the mostess is Lori. She is challenging herself and the rest of us with this one:

Challenge #43 Clean and Simple (no more than two layers)

Here is my card. Yep it is another new stamp from Heartfelt Creations and I used copic's to color it. I also tried the technique of embedding the image and must say it is one I am going to do more. The image has been cut out and the top note is from Stampin Up and so is the paper.

Boy oh boy do we know you all have inspiration for this one and these kinds of cards are so beautiful...it would be fun to have more idea's for creating. So come and join us 4 girls this week for creating a clean and simple card. Can't wait to see your inspiration.

Please check them out (Lori, Leanne, Melissa) and share some love.

Thanks for stopping in.

Specialty Challenge #7 at PPC!

Happy Monday morning! It is another grey/rainy kind of day here in small town Millet. It seems like all it has done for days is rained, rained and rained. I have been singing, Sun, Sun, Mr. Golden Sun...how I would love to see you.

Thanks so all who played with PPC last week. This week Megan has an inspiration picture for us. Now my fellow DT's actually had teapots and cups. I didn't have any of those kind of stamps. The inspiration I took from this picture is some of the colors and since we have a few family members who are bravely fighting cancer right now, it made me remember the times we have been with them and had tea. So I hope you enjoy what I have done. Thanks Megan for this fabby picture.

The saying n this card is so true and just touches my heart. Hope you like it. So I used chocolate chip, certainly celery, barely banana and whisper white for card stock. Two Martha Stewart butterfly punches, chocolate chip ribbon, Swiss Dots embossing folder, a close to my heart stamp and my second stamp, I am not sure of the name, button and linen thread, dauber, chocolate chip and barely banana ink, chocolate chip pearl and dimensional.

As an extra I just wanted to show you a card that my daughter made for her friend Paiges birthday. The card was pre-embossed with the flower oval, but she decided to color them. I think she did a fabby job for only being 9 and in time she will be putting me to shame for creativity .

We are now on our last full week of school and the count down is on. It is hard when you have to fight with your kids to get going because they just done. Hopefully tomorrow will be better on that front. Tonight we have a soccer game and it will be a soggy one due to all of the rain. I do believe candles, laundry., spending my last day with my little man Ethan. I am sad to say this is my last day with him after 4 and a half years he has decided to keep growing up and start school next year. How time flies.
Please come and join us girls at PPC, we would love to see what this picture inspires in you. I love coming to see you.
Thanks for stopping in. Hugs to all.

Getting Well Soon with 4 Crafty Chicks!

HAPPY THURSDAY to ya!! I am excited to share our new challenge with you from 4 Crafty Chicks. It is always fun to be the hostess; you guessed it I am up. Do you have certain cards that you make a little less than others? I sure do. So here is our challenge:

CHALLENGE #42 - GET WELL SOON

Now when someone isn't feeling well, I pick up the phone or go on facebook and give them get well wishes. These are cards that seem to fall by the wayside for me. So when Lori and I where shopping we came across this Dr. Marci stamp and that was it for me, I knew what I was making. That day we inked her up and started coloring. I then had to find a layout and thought a clean and simple one would be best, especially to send through the mail. She is colored with Copic's and Stampin Up markers. When I was little I used to have a teddy bear just like this one, it pretty much has no fuzz now from so much hugging when I was sick.

My other 4 Crafty Chicks friends did not have a problem with this challenge, their cards are gorgeous, elegant and soooo inspirational. Please check them out (Lori, Leanne, Melissa) and share some love.

Thank you so much for stopping bye! I want to wish you a very happy Thursday and if you aren't feeling well please get better soon. Can't wait to see what you create and pop on over to your blog.

Groovy Colors for Challenge #62 at PPC!

What where did the weekend go? Mine was spent at the soccer fields coaching my team with an amazing assistant coach. The kids played so hard, we had 4 games in 3 days won them all and took gold. We had two members of our team both of whom are my goalies who also refeered 7 games in two days. They were so amazing that I am so proud of them. My oldest who was one of the ref's feet are so blistered all toes and heals on both feet, don't know if he will be ready to play tonight. And boy oh boy am I sore, everytime they won I had to boost up how many push-ups I would do! I was up to 15 men push ups and 20 womens. I also did push ups with them during warm up. Along with my lobster like body...I am what you would call a hurting unit...LOL. Also a Happy Belated Birthday to our design Team Member Lori! Her birthday was yesterday!

So are you ready for the colors this week at PPC? Megan has given us a challenge but the colors look fabby together. When I first saw them, I was like oh this is going to be so hard, but all it took was finding the right image and well spending the day crafting with my good buddy Lori and wola the colors just came together.

This image is another Heartfelt Creations, they are so much fun to color and oh how I do love to color. Now this is another clean an simple design, not a lot going on but I really just wanted to highlight the image. U sed a Large Label Spellbind to highlight the image and then the Top Note from Stampin Up was my touch of fancy on the card. I tried to add some elegance with the pearls.

Hope you will come and join us this week at PPC! We truly love coming to see what you have for us and your blogs are always so much fun. Don't forget to check out my partners, their creations are just jam packed full of inspiration.

A New Challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.

Good Morning everyone! So here we are at the 4 Crafty Chicks and we are celebrating another fabby challenge. This week our inspiring hostess is Melissa. We are working on Challenge #41 here at 4 Crafty Chicks. What does Melissa have for us?

Challenge #41 is to MAKE YOUR OWN FLOWER!!

Here is my flower! I bought a new Sizzix Layer Flower #2 Die Cut and put it to use on this candle. The sentiment is from one of my new sets of stamps from Heartfelt Creations. I am just loving these beautiful stamps. The paper, ribbon are from stampin up, the ink is memento. It was fun to change it up and make a candle something quick and easy but something that can be given as a gift to a friend, teacher, mother, sister, someone who is struggling, oh the things you can do with flower creation. Hope you like it.

Thanks to everyone who is playing with us at 4 Crafty Chicks. My computer and blogger are finally working better so I can comment on your lovely work. Come show us what your flower creation looks like. Don't forget we announced our winners yesterday be sure to hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks to see if you are a winner. Oh and when you stop bye share some love with Leanne, Lori and Melissa their flowers are rockin :)

Lastly I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to my followers. You have been with me for some of my ups and downs during my not so productive times. It means a lot that you stick with me. THANK YOU!!!

A New Challenge at Picture Perfect Creations

Good Morning blogger land! Yes, it is Monday and I am in a really good mood...well so far...LOL. I really need to send out a huge thank you to two of my fellow DT's. Lori and Linda helped me get my blog working again and I can now comment and post from my computer! WOOT, WOOT!! Thank you so much :)

Before we can get onto our new challenge I had to tell you about the best surprise this weekend. The first surprise was that Lori and her son Calvin came to visit. We took Kaitlyn to gymnastic's and we then popped on over to the craft store in town. Due to a fire in another building that caused some damage with their business, everything was on for 50% off. I feel sorry for them but boy oh boy did we hit the jackpot. It was almost overwhelming to try and stay in control. I just wanted it all...LOL. Now that is a girls play ground when someone tells them their favorite crafts are 50% off . I hope they are up and running soon. So did we ever get our craft thing on. Now enough of my blabbing. My third surprise is that my brother and his younger son came to visit for two days too. A great weekend indeed.

So are you ready for another fabby color combo here at Picture Perfect Creations? Was your weekend busy, crazy and just not enough time to relax and play?? We would love to see you come and relax with us and get your creative juices flowing with our challenge.

On week #61 for our color combo's Megan has us using Cajun Craze, Certainly Celery and Always Artichoke. Great colors for a masculine card, birthday, get well, scrapbook pages, boxes oh so many possibilities.

So this is what I created with one of my new stamps by Heartfelt Creations Posy Patch Garden Delights. Next came coloring with copics and stampin up markers. Now the flowers are actually a mauvie kind of color but they look blue on here. My sentiment is a Verve one and the embossing folder is from Cuttlebug, Spellbinders and a punch from Stampin Up. I just love coloring don't you?
I will be entering my card into the following challenges: Paper Sundaes #72 - Let's Get Sentimental and Wee Memories is a Free For All Challenge (show your creativity). The DT's have some awesome inspiration to share too.

You know each week I look forward to seeing what inspires my fellow team mates and each week I am blown away by how creative they are. You should really stop bye to see what they have created (the creations are just yummy). Come on out and show us how these colors inspire you.

Well this week for me is going to be just a tad crazy. Today, I am babysitting my favorite little man, then I have a soccer game and three kids coming after school so I can take them to the game. A great day it should be for all.

Have an amazing day! I love your comments and thanks so much for sharing my card with me. You all rock :)

Who has a new Challenge? 4 Crafty Chicks

Happy Thursday Morning! I am still having problems with my computer and blogger wanting to work together. Still not able to comment but I am hoping to have this fixed very soon. Everyone who played with Lori's color combo rocked it!!

What an exciting day it is for us here at 4 Crafty Chicks. Our newest challenge is being brought to us by our totally fabby LEANNE! Can you believe we are on Challenge #40. It is so exciting and thank you all so much for making it possible and to my fabby chicks who keep me challenged each week.

LEANNE would like us create something for an ANNIVERSARY! Isn't that exciting. So here is my take on Leanne's challenge. I used embossing to add to my texture and hopefully to make it a masculine card. My embossing folders are cuttlebug and everything else is stampin up (punches, paper, ribbon, ink).

this card will be entered into these fabby challenges. Fresh Brewed Challenge 49- its a guy thing. Tip Top Tuesday challenge #36 is to wrap it up in ribbon. All of their DT's gave amazing inspiration.

Be sure to stop bye to see Melissa, Leanne and Lori's blogs they have amazing master pieces to show you for this weeks challenge. So come and join us and show us what has Anniversary inspires you to create.
