Thank You to Constable Lepine
Robin asked for specific colors RED and BLACK that way it would match R.C.M.P uniform. It was nice to get the thumbs up from my son. He told me the card was perfect for Constable Lepine. Congratulations Robin on a great day and all you learned from this class.
I am going to enter this card in for the Stampin' Royalty challenge. This week the challenge was to use your punches.
I just love these two sets of stamps the horse (SU) and the tree's (SU) I thought would be perfect for this occassion. The Thanks is a Verve stamp and the saying inside the card is a Rub-on. The paper is basic black, real red, whsiper white and dsp all from SU. My horses and trees are embossed the ink was black versa fine and the embossing powder was clear. The ribbon is white satin also SU. The Top Note and circle punches were also used.
It is raining here and it is needed. It sure is nice to here that sound. My boys have a soccer game tonight, sooooooo hot chocolate will be in order.
Oh and don't forget to pop over to Picture Perfect Creations and try the new color combo challenge this week.
Thanks for stopping bye...have a wonderful day!!

A Little Crushed Curry - PPC - #10
What can I say yesterday made me smile. I went stampin with my mom and all the really great ladies at our club. It is sure nice that when you aren't feeling well that they are able to make you smile and laugh. Thanks ladies for the good time and I enjoyed meeting Thea, Paige and Madison.
Picture Perfect Creations has challenge #10 today. Hope you are ready to have some fun this week with our new challenge. I really called this one a challenge (for me). I stuggled a little bit on where to fit the Bordering Blue, but I think I finally worked it out. There isn't much...LOL, but it is there. I guess I was in the mood for coloring and huffing so that is what did with one of my favorite tree's.
Here is my card for challenge #10
The base of my card is the certainly celery, real red, crushed curry, bordering blue, real red and whisper white. The button I used is also a certainly celery color, but doesn't show well. On the tree the leaves are real red, crushed curry and certainly celery. I do apologize for my picture not being too clear. For some reason I was getting a glare off of the lights. If I was to change one thing on the card, I would stampin the words in bordering blue or real red to make them stand out a little more. I have been itching to use my TOP Note and I used it three times...WAHOOO! All and all I am really happy with my card and with my bow.
Please hop on over to check out the other PPC Creators Works of Art. I just love what they have done this week!

My Stampin Card for This Month
Lori helped me out by showing me this card from Dawns Stamping Thoughts. Thanks Dawn this card was perfect. I didn't have the same stamp she used so I used the flower from Bloomin' Beautiful and the sentiment from Wreath of Roses. Dawn's colors were white and pink, but I decided to added the chocolate chip into the mix. Instead of a solid white base I made it chocolate chip. I also embossed half of the white background with the D'vine Swirl and the vase I embossed with the Swiss Dots. Dawn Stamped her flower in two separate colors, but I couldn't do that being as it was all one, so I colored the stem with certainly celery and the flower with pretty in pink. I haven't decided yet, but I will probably put a little butterfly on the card. I hope the ladies will like this card.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a great night. I am doing laundry and I still have to make a wish list for tomorrow and the kids want me to watch a movie with them. I hope you have a super dooper evening.
I am Still Here!!
Thanks for stopping in to see me, even though I haven't put anything on this week. Your comments as always are wonderful.
Thank you to Sandy for letting me know that I was the "Cream in their Cup" over at The Play Date Cafe and. Thank you also to all of the girls over at The Playdate Cafe who choose my card for this honor. I truly had a blast with the colors and think I will make more cards with the colors. Thanks for all of the comments they sure made my day a brighter.
I am off to switch laundry and then off to work outside with my pounding head and my super great hubby.
Have a great day and hope to have something on here tonight for you. You are all great and thanks for the support!

A Warm Spring Day - PPC #9
What a FABBY color combo this week at the Picture Perfect Creations. When I pulled out the colors and put them together I just knew I had to use this Greeting Farms stamp. The colors reminded me of warm weather, the hot sun and oh the blue water....I was thinking of our trip to Mexico a few years ago...tons of laughter and relaxation. *Sigh* WE would love to go back...maybe some day :). My sketch was found over at Friday Sketchers and it was designed by Beatrix (Sketch #97). Thanks Beatrix for a wonderful sketch...it just pulled this card together.
Here is my card...isn't she adorable...I think she looks like she is thinking beach day...
Gotta Love Fairies!

A NEW LOOK!
PICTURE PERFECT CREATIONS BLOG CANDY!!
Ends: April 18, 2010 (10 a.m. EST)
Happy Thursday!!!
Yesterday was an emotionally hard day for me. I had someone call and yell at me for setting up a time that conflicted with their day (for our soccer volunteer hours) and my youngest turned 8 yesterday. It is sure hard to know they are all growing up so fast, oh and on the upside of that I was able to give my daughter her present (we got here ears peirced...she loves them). I made this card yesterday for her, it was a simple card that I made hard because of my emotional upset. After I made the card I then set to work painting my basement because my new furniture is being delivered Saturday....*wink*. I must say that I really enjoyed painting with my mom and my dad filled more of our little holes. Rob came and helped finish painting the last wall with me and the base boards. I can't believe we got everything done we wanted to in one day and better yet by 11 pm! My kids were so shocked when they came home from school. It was so awesome to see the looks on their faces, now they all want the colors in their rooms...LOL. My colors are actually Bashful Blue (true paper color) and a cougar Brown (it is a little darker than close to coco) Today, however I am sore to the bones, but I LOVE why I am sore...LOL.
So on to my card I finally get to post today. The first challenge is the Color Dare, they had really awesome colors. My second challenge for this card was Stampin Royalty who wanted you to keep it simple sweety (KISS). Sure glad I found both of these challenges since my time was very limited. Hope you have a chance to pop on over and check them out.
My birthday card:
Recipe: Stamps: Garden Silhouttes (sp??) (SU) and another (SU) set; Paper: Whisper white, Tempting Turquoise, Pale Plum, Lovely Lilac; Ink: Markers: Tempting Turquoise, Pale Plum, Lovely Lilac and Garden green (?); Accessories: Pearls, dimensionals, and small, medium oval punch and scallop oval punch, tempting turquoise ribbon.
I am off to start some laundry and eat breakfast, then down to my craftroom to make a card for my son today. Wishing you all a good start to your Thursday. Thanks for stopping in and see you later.

Happy Easter! Well what's left of it :)
I couldn't go to bed without putting one on here. I told you all I would. It is simple and another mothers day card. I used the Play Date Cafe colors with the exception of using vanilla in the place of cream (I don't own any). I had some card stock already cut so this was my fastest made card...LOL. It is hard to see the embossed Leaves and branches on the Very Vanilla but it is there. The words are rub-on's from Stampin Up! Here is my clean and simple mother's day card.
I am off to bed, hope to see you on here tomorrow. Wishing you all a most fabulous Easter Day!

An Eggtra Special Day!
Today, we spent 3 hours putting up soccer nets and finding out what my job is for this year. I am co-ordinating the painting of the fields and maintence. We then took the kids to see Clash of the Titans, it was good but it was way to scary for my dd, she only saw 1/2 of it, the rest of the time hiding under my jacket. A little shopping and then home to make homemade pizza for supper. Our next project was egg painting. This is one of our favorite activities of easter. Here are our eggs this year. Robin discovered that if he put stickers on his egg and then dyed it, dried it and took the stickers off that it leaves the outline of the stickers, open for painting. Hope you all had fun too if you paint and dye your eggs.
This afghan is my second old craft I am working on to finish. (not sure why it turned the picture on it side here)
It is half finished, I accidently unravelled a whole row, while moving it (opps!). It will fit a Queen's size bed when I am done and hang over the sides. I might have to change the design in my head so it doesn't end up touching the floor. The white, black and burgandy were a present from my very good friend Lori.
It is just about time for the Easter bunny to come, so unfortunately no card for me today, but tomorrow I am taking a break and putting one on here (Even if I have to run away and hide..hee hee). We have decided to relax and not have a big meal tomorrow. My mom is bring Ham Rolls for supper and I am responsible for dessert and salad. You notice dessert comes before salad, now if only I could actually eat my meal that way *sigh*!

Thursday Night Inky Delight!
The color challenge I used is from The Play Date Cafe #23, it is a wonderful inspiration challenge, with blues, white/cream. The sketch I wanted to use is from Our Creative Corner #9, I changed it a bit but the idea is the same. Both Crafty Creations Challenges #61 and Papertake Weekly Challenge have the theme of anything goes. Any theme (which girls was right up my alley this week...Hee Hee). If you have time check out these wonderful challenge sites.
Mother's Day will be here before we know it so here is my first card:
Stamps: Message for Mom (SU); Paper: Brillant Blue, Bashful Blue, Whisper White; Ink: Versafine Black; Accessories: Bashful Blue and White Ribbon, D'Vine Swirl embossing folder, SU Markers, pearls, large circle and large scalloped circle spellbinders, clear embossing powder, dimensionals, paper piercer.
It sure wasn't hard to make this card, because I have an amazing mom, who I am truly blessed to have in my life and who is my hero. Thanks mom for all you do, we love you!
Well that is it for me tonight...thanks for stopping bye.
Wishing you all a super Good Friday tomorrow and I hope to be back on here creating with you all!!!
Getting Inky on a Thursday Afternoon!
I must start off with a huge THANK YOU from last week. Megan from over at Picture Perfect Creations gave me the Runner-Up Badge for my card on Challenge #4. What an honor, sorry I didn't put it on here earlier, but I truly did a happy dance and appreciate it a ton.
My first challenge this week was to complete the color challenge for Picture Perfect Creations. I couldn't wait to due challenge #6, it was screaming a boy card for me and it just so happens my dd has a friends birthday tomorrow. Sorry, Megan I added a little bit of brown, hope that is alright!
Here is my card:
Recipe:
Stamps: Little Paper Shop (mud and monster truck), Stampin Up (It's your birthday); Paper: Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss and Dusty Durango and Very Vanilla, Ink: Chocolate Chip; Accessories: Chocolate Chip Ribbon, chocolate chip brads, embossing folder, Large and small labels (spellbinders), scissors, dimensionals.
Hope you are having a great day and that this is an okay boys card (I had to many idea's in there, they are screaming to come out...LOL). A final reminder that Megan's search for a DT is coming to an end on April 4 (10pm EST), so hop on over to Picture Perfect Creations and check it out!
I would love to make another card that is buzzing around in my head...see you later. Until then keep smiling...you know why...long weekend! Doesn't that say everything...Yahooooooooooooo!!!
