Lil Sweetie Mia Fairy

Candlebook Bookworm Lil Sweetie Mia Fairy

Good Morning! It has been an interesting week but I have been glad to get into my craft room and get some cards made.

The card above was so much fun to color and design. Reading is a passion of mine.  Honestly, one can never have too many books right.  My family would say yep after we moved but in fairness I got rid of 8 heavy boxes of books. Yikes right.  I still have tons.  If I could own a craft store and a book store together I would be in total heaven.

Creative Knockouts is onto a brand new challenge this week and the above is my latest DT creation. Ching- Chou Kuik is out sponsor this week and I would like to thank them for letting me use and color this adorable image. For Challenge #139 - Kelly would like us to use Lots of Layers. My fellow DT's have amazing creations to inspire you.  Please come over and join us this week.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcakes

Good Morning! It is that time of year where the sun is out more and well frankly it boosts my spirits. Are any of you that way? Seeing the sun, hearing the birds, frogs and seeing brown rabbits starting to hop around just makes me smile. It also brings gratitude for the gorgeous land I get too look at and appreciate each day.

Talking about appreciating...FOOD is something I appreciate.  Quite literally I guess, sometimes it feels like another hobbie...*giggle, giggle...snort*  This week it is my turn to be the hostess over at 4 Crafty Chicks. So for CHALLENGE #295 "F" is for FOOD!! I had so many idea's running around my head for this challenge but I had a stamp set given to me by a friend and it was full of cupcakes so I decided to put my new stamps to good use. They were just in time for this new challenge :)

Have some fun with this challenge and please share with us what this challenge inspires in you.  We would love to see you join us at 4 Crafty Chicks this week.  My fellow DT's have outstanding creations for you this week too.

May the sun bring you some sparkle.

Our beautiful and only Tina has a wonderful challenge for us this week.  I don't know about you but I never seem to have these type of cards on hand. For Challenge #294 Tina would like us to make a Get Well creation.

Scenic Card

Good, good day! welcome back to my blog. I am excited to share with you my latest DT creation for 4 Crafty Chicks.  We are now into April and we have a new Guest Designer this month.  Helen (Made By Helen) will be with us and has some very inspiring creations to share.

Our wonderfully talented hostess this week is our one and only Leanne from Banking On Crafts. For Challenge #293 she would like us to create something Scenic.

The card above I made for my son Robin's 17th Birthday.  This style of cards is not one that I do often but I like it. I went to my go too tree stamp called Lovely As a Tree and the bear is also a stampin up stamp. A dauber was used to on the outside to try and create a night scene. Not sure if I did it or not.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for our latest challenge. Looking for more inspiration my fellow DT and GDT will not disappoint.

Have an amazing day!

Book mark chomper

Hi! Welcome to my blog! As I am typing up this post the wind is blowing crazy here, no rain just windy. It has been a fun week for me having family here and just spending time with them. Alas tomorrow our son has to go back to work.

It is time for a new challenge this week over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our wonderful hostess Leanne is doing out Crazy Egg post.  When we have 5 Thursday's in a month it is an easy peazy challenge of ANYTHING GOES.

I have been seeing these super cute book marks all over pinterest and well I made several different types with different folds.  This one I am sharing with you I made for my daughter and her new book. It is awesome because it sits over the corner of the page.

I do believe making more of these is in order.

Please come and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for inspiration and we would love to see what inspires you this week.

Thanks for joining me.

Less is More

Spring is here and even though we have snow, I am so very grateful for my family, my friends, my new home.  This weekend I celebrate Easter with God and my family, hopefully the weather holds so they can come.  Wishing you all an amazing Easter.

I am so excited to share my latest DT creation with you.  Over at 4 Crafty Chicks our beautiful hostess is Lori and she has gave us a challenge to be simple.  For Challenge #291 - Less is More.  My card above has a frame of scored lines around it although I couldn't get a good picture for you to see them all.  I decided to go with Garden Silhouettes from Stampin Up and the sentiment from Forever in Our Hearts Verve.

We would love to see your dressed down creations at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Wishing you all an amazing weekend.

Thanks for sharing in my latest DTproject.

The Season of Friendship!

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I am sure here in Canada everyone is itching to have spring arrive but honestly we haven't had that bad of a Winter.  Pretty mild here in Alberta.  I do look forward to no ice on the side walk and roads.  On Tuesday, I was very lucky to have heard geese fly over our new home.  Every year I look forward to hearing the sounds of the geese flying overhead. Then spring is near.

We have a brand new challenge for you over at Creative Knockouts.  Our sponsor this week is Di's Digi Stamps and the prize is $12 voucher. For Challenge #133 - Spring is On The Way!! At this time of year with taxes being due here in Canada it sure does feel nice to think about spring and all the fun it leads too. Like planting a garden if you have one, flowers, walks, budding tree's.  A renewal of the bright and beautiful colors outside.

My card up above images and stamps are from Season of Friendship from Stampin Up. It is a clean and simple design.  All inks are also from Stampin Up.

Come on over and join us at Creative Knockouts.  Looking for more inspiration my fellow DT's have amazing creations to share with you.

I would like to enter my card into the One Crazy Stampers March - Anything Goes Challenge.

Happy Birthday from the....

Good morning and Happy St. Patrick's Day! We went from having no snow to having a yard full of snow and the grass is again covered.  Just like that +18 one day and snow/windy the next.  Gotta love Alberta.  Now I know that the their was going to be more snow for us but I did rather enjoy seeing the grass and hearing the geese for the first time on Tuesday.

So the card above is for the brand new challenge this week over at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I am the hostess and for challenge #290 (can you believe it :)) I would love to see you make something that is full of Humor.  I have had this stamped image for a while and never got around to using it.  The sentiment makes me laugh every time I see it.

The image above was colored with copic's, embossing folder and oval stitch dies were used too.

Please come join us at 4 Crafty Chicks for a fun filled challenge.  We all need a giggle sometime right?

Hello, Hello! Well last week I was dreading having to give up an hour of sleep everyday but the good news that isn't until this weekend.  Yahooo! A girl can dream a few more days for an extra hour.

Above is my lastest DT creation for 4 Crafty Chicks.  Our wonderful hostess this week is Tina. She has a very exciting challenge for us this week.  We are on Challenge #289 7 Layers. I thought that this would be really hard but it actually turned out to be easy.  Now I have 7 layers of paper or you can go 6 layers of paper and the 7th layer is my pearls.  The stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms - Encouragement Expressesions.  The paper is all from Stampin Up (Whisper White, Early Espresso, Cherry on Top), punches and I used a spellbinder circle die for the large circle.

Little bunny cotton tail

Can we possibly be in the month of Easter already?  Well folks I am told this is absolutely not only possible we are. Whew spring is coming folks. For those of us who change our clocks ahead, well that is happening this weekend. I will have to get used to 1 less hour of sleep.  Some of my friends it never ever bothers them but me you have to pry me out of bed... hee hee.

We have a brand new challenge for your over at 4 Crafty Chicks today.  Our hostess with the mostess is our only Leanne.  For Challenge #288 she would like us to create something Easter.  We have a brand new guest designer this month and her name is Nance from "Soul Stampin".  Welcome aboard :)

The card I created above is a design I found on Pinterest by Angie Leach...Too Cool Stamping.  I made a couple of changes to the card instead of a flower for the tail I used a cotton ball cut in half. Some pearls, different punches and no ribbon. Tiny little die cut circles for the paws.  My circles are from spellbinders all other punches, paper, wood grain embossing folder and stamps are from Stampin Up.

We would love it if you would come on out and join us this week at 4 Crafty Chicks.  Each week we are constantly inspired by you.
