Distressing and Happy Birthday!

Good Morning! I can hardly believe that we are less than a week a way from Christmas.  How the heck did that happen?  Wasn't it just September or something?  For the first time ever we are not done our Christmas shopping, well to tell you the truth we haven't even started yet....LOL. The plus side is my wonderful family put the tree up on Sunday! It is starting to feel a lot like Christmas.  It seems weird that last night I went to my very final elementary Christmas concert, it is a bitter sweet one.  It means my daughter is growing up but oh how sweet it is to see her so confident up on stage.

Our Chick Leanne is celebrating her birthday on Saturday, so I just want to throw out a huge HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our very talented friend.  On to our new challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks which I am very happy to be hosting.  With so much stress around this time of year I thought it would be fun to make Challenge #173 to do with DISTRESSING.

I am proud to say the card below is my first card I have made in almost 2 months(because of our accident).  It took me all day to make but the cool part is I got ink on my fingers and actually put an idea together.  I sure have missed being crafty. My mom came over to help me and was able to give me the things I couldn't reach in my craft room. Without her help there wouldn't have been a finished card.  This is the first time my mom and I have sort of crafted together in my new craft room. Thanks mom.
 Recipe:
Stamps: Happy Harmony, Warmest Regards (Stampin Up)
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, Whisper White and Season of Style Designer Series.
Ink: Early Espresso, and Cherry Cobbler
Accessories: Pearls, Twine, cherry cobbler button, scallop punch, Deco Label Framelits, glue dots, daubers, glue pen and dazzling diamonds.

I would like to enter my card into Seize The Birthday - Anything Goes
http://seizethebirthday.blogspot.ca/
We hope that during this busy time you will be able to find a little crafty time and join us at 4 Crafty Chicks.  What does Distressing inspire in you? Looking for inspiration from Bonnie, Leanne, Lori and our GDT (Tammy)...hop on over to 4 Crafty Chicks.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas! May it be one that provides you with tons of love, laughter, joy, peace and relaxation.

Thank you so much for popping in!
